Before you went into school you had to meet with your agent Sebastián for breakfast to discuss the email he sent you about the All Valley Karate tournament.
At the Diner...
"We couldn't have met at a IHOP or something" you say jokingly as you sit down in the booth across from Sebastián. "Well this place has the best Corn beef hash in the city" Sebastián replies.
The waitress comes over and pours you guys some coffee and you order (your favorite food) you take a sip of your coffee before speaking "So let's get down to brass tacks The All Valley Karate tournament you think winning it would bring my career back or revive it somewhat" you ask curiously.
"I was actually thinking more among the lines of you hosting it for charity you know imagine it the 50th All Valley Karate Championships Hosted by Strike Forces (Y/N) (L/N)" Sebastián says using his hands for dramatic effect.
"No offense Seb but that sounds Lame, but imagine this, Former Star of StrikeForce takes the All Valley by Storm and wins it all, proving he is indeed a real martial artist Now that's a headline people would pay to see" you say using the same hand motion for dramatic effect.
This makes Sebastián put his face in his hands "Litsen (Y/N) this idea is almost as bad as the time when you wanted to get your name tattooed on your chest" you scoff at this "Well I thought it would have been an awesome idea but continue your point." Sebastián continues talking "Look can you imagine the backlash and that this could amount to if you just inserted yourself into the tournament.
"No Seb, and besides think about it me competing will bring alot more people in to buy tickets, and lastly what backlash" you ask confused. "The same backlash that casued the cancelation of your show except this time people will say your using your status and privilege as a celebrity to take away opportunities from other people, and if you don't win then you'll be what they already think you are a fraud". Sebastián says trying to convince you.
You sit there and ponder his words for a second as you take a bite of your food "Look (Y/N) I'll always have your back and I'll back your play no matter what, I'm just asking you to think about this ok" "Ok I'll think on it ok" you reply. Sebastián nods and the two of you change the subject from business to other topics such as school, family your "girlfriend" and about what was going on currently with him. Before leaving he gave you your royalty check from the network and you went your separate ways for now as you were already late for school.
West Valley High....
School was a drag to be expected, honestly you wanted to be anywhere else, plus you couldn't help but think about what Sebastián said to you, on one hand hosting the All Valley could be good and you would get to channel your inner Michael Buffer while doing it but you really wanted to compete and show everyone that you weren't just a moviestar.
You were interrupted from your thoughts by Demetri snapping his fingers "Hey kung fu grip we need you to focus this project is due at the end of class" he says kind of annoyed. "Yeah sorry" "Yeah well sorry won't cut it if we fail this project now will it" Demetri responded even more annoyed which casued you to give him a death glare making him back off "Guy's lets just get back to work" Miguel said trying to get you guys back on track.
After class you were walking to your locker "Hey (Y/N) wait up" you hear Sam says as she runs to catch up with you "You weren't in homeroom where were you" Sam asks curiously "Had a meeting with my agent you know business stuff" "Oh I see I take it it's classified information" Sam says smirking. "You can say that" you say returning her smirk.
You both reach your locker before you start speaking again "So what you got planned for tonight" you ask as you put your stuff in your locker. "Me and Kyler are going to see a movie" You fake gag at this "Dont tell me your going to see one of those cringey dying teenager in love movies"
Sam chuckles at your commemt pretending to be fake offended "Oh ok Mr movie star would you suggest we watch that terrible musical that you did a year ago?" Sam says jokingly "Ok Sam First of all I almost won an Oscar for that movie and the title Song was the top of the Billboard for 3 months so I'm proud of it"
"Oh I know my Mom loves the soundtrack to that movie" Sam says laughing "Well your mom sounds like a smart woman you should take after her more" "Ha Ha very funny and besides I would have thought Yasmine would have dragged you to take her to see the movie"
"I did take her but we didn't watch much of it" you say smirking hoping she caught your drift "Ok I don't need to hear anymore, anyway I gotta get going (Y/N) see ya" "Likewise Larousso have fun with Kyler" you say teasingly making her blush before you guys go your separate ways.
At home.....
"Mom, Dad, I'm home" you say as you shut the door the house. "In hear baby" you hear your mom call out from the kitchen "Whats up sport how'd the meeting with Sebastián go" your dad asks curiously "It was ok" you say sitting down but he doesn't think I should actually compete, he actually thinks hosting would he better and that competing would he a double edged sword"
"Well what do you want to do baby" your mom asks rubbing your shoulders "For the first time I'm not sure this decision can make or break me" "You should do what you feel is right Son me and your mother both know whatever decision that you make your gonna kick it in the ass like you always do" your dad says with a reassuring smile.
"Thanks Mom and Dad you guys have always had my back "Hey that's our job we practically have to have your back" your mom says jokingly.
An hour or so later...
After dinner with your parents you were upstairs doing some work on your Laptop when you got an invitation to join a video call by Yasmine "What could she want at this hour" you say skeptically clicking and joining the call seeing Moon, Bruck and Kyler are also on the call.
"What do I owe this dubious pleasure guys you ask "Hi (Y/N)" Moon says happily "Hey Moon you reply waving back "Now I know you guys didn't call to ask for movie suggestions so what do you guys want exactly" you ask them curiously.
"Its about Sam" Yasmine replies "Yeah what about her" "Kyler can explain better" Bruck said making obscene gestures with his hands. "Yeah Sam isn't the person we all thought if you know what I mean" making everyone but you laugh.
"Wait Kyler what the hell are you talking about" you asks slightly agitated "Come on Hollywood I thought you would have caught my drift things went down to put it in laments terms Sam went down". Kyler says obviously proud of himself.
"She also said something about how she was better then Yasmine and Moon",Kyler continued to say. "Wait are you sure she said that it doesn't sound like her" you ask questioning him.
"Jeez (Y/N) why are you defending her I know you guys are friends but maybe Sam isn't the girl you think she is."
"Yeah (Y/N) plus you wouldn't be defending her if you knew what she said about you Kyler responded smugly, God you wanted to slap that self righteous smirk off his face. You thought about your next words carefully.
"Due tell what did she say about me" you ask trying to keep your cool which Moon only seemed to notice "Well she basically called you a failure and how she'd expected more when meeting you."
You simply shake your head pretending to believe what Kyler was saying "I think we should give her a chance to apologize I mean everyone deserves a second chance." Moon says trying to convince everyone to no avail "No Moon we need to cut her out we brought her in to this click we can cut her out.
You agree for now to play along you'd get Sam's side of the story first, after all they talked about was incident with the billboard which you admitted was kind of funny.
The next morning before school you texted Sam to meet you at a diner before school you were sitting at the booth on your phone waiting for her. "Hey" you hear her say as she takes a seat across from you. "Thanks for meeting me" you say with a smile "No problem by the way have you talked to Yas or Moon they haven't been returning my calls and we were supposed to go to a concert together but they were without me" she says kind of disappointed "Thats what I wanted to talk to you about actually, Kyler said that you talked about Yas, Moon and Me, I know its not true but I thought I'd get your side of the story first." You say waiting for her response.
"What,.. litsen (Y/N) what ever Kyler said was a lie I never talked about you guys like that in fact I left the date because Kyler tried to assault me in the theater."
"He what!" You say with a slight hint of anger in your voice "Look (Y/N) its ok ill handle it your already in hot water as it is imagine the press if you get into a fight over a month after the cancelation of your show just please let me handle it" "Fine I'll try not to beat up Kyler" "Great now do you know where I can find Yasmine and Moon".
"Yasmine told me they were going to get burritos after school why" you ask curiously "Thanks that's all I needed to know" Sam said as she rushed out the diner. "Always on the move" you say to yourself.
The next day at school you were sitting next to Yasmine and Moon at lunch when Sam came storming towards Kylers direction and taping him on the shoulder "Think it's funny to spread lies about me" Sam says agitated
"What are you talking about we saw a movie and that's it or maybe I saw it a little bit more then you" Kyler says obnoxiously making everyone in the area laugh except you and Moon. "Yeah we heard you got pretty choked up" Bruck replied chuckling
This made Sam knock Kylers tray to the floor "Hey guys you know that billboard with that big ass dick on it I guess Sam takes after her dad making everyone gasp in the lunchroom. At this point you had enough before you could get up Miguel had beat you to it.
"Hey Kyler why don't you shut the hell up and stop being an asshole" "Wanna another beat down Rhea" Kyler said pushing Miguel "I'm ready for your lame ass Karate this time" he says shoving him again "Its not lame ass Karate" then Kyler throws a punch which Miguel expertly blocks "Its Cobra Kai" Miguel then punches him in the face busting open his nose. Miguel then proceeds to beat the crap out of Kyler and his friends.
Miguel knocks Bruck into the table your sitting at with Yasmine during the fight you give a mocking thumbs up to Bruck "Your doing great" you tell him with a smirk before he goes back to fighting Miguel.
"Aren't you going to help them" Yasmine asks frantically "No why should I" "Because their your friends" Yasmine says trying to convince you. You laugh at this oh Yasmine sweet heart their not my friends".
The fight ends with Miguel smacking Kyler in the face with a tray which makes everyone in the lunchroom applaud.
After the fight you go up to Miguel at his locker "Hey man those were some pretty Kick ass moves you say fist bumping Miguel "Thanks man I'm just glad my training is paying off" "It definitely is who evers training you knows what their doing" "You should sit in on a class it could be fun" Miguel says trying to convince you."I'll think about man but I'll see you later" you say as you both fist bump each other before leaving.
You were at your locker getting your books to go when Yasmine comes storming up to you "What the hell was that" "What the hell was what you ask playing dumb "Why didn't you help Kyler".
"The better question is why would I help Kyler he started the fight he should be able to handle his own shit" you say slaming your locker closed "which reminds me this what ever this is we have going on its over" you say trying to walk away but Yasmine blocks you.
"What do you mean over why she asks" with a bit of hurt in her voice "Look Yas your a sweet girl but you helped spread those rumors about Sam and I won't date a bully" You say pushing past her leaving her with her thoughts.
A/N Hey guys your author here I hope you enjoyed this double longer then usual chapter. I don't have a time frame on the next chapter because life gets in the way. Furthermore sorry to the people who may have liked the Yasmine, ship but like I said it did serve the story maybe we'll revisit it in a future chapter who knows?
