A few months after your 1 year anniversary with Charlie you had a doctors appointment you needed to take the day off for.
"Hey Charlie I need a day off work today." You said taking your coat off the rack and putting it on.
"Sure what for?" He asked taking his keys off the table for work.
"I have a doctors appointment."
"Everything alright?"
"Yea everything is good they just have to check everything again you know?"
"Oh yea the baby organs."
"If that's what you'd like to call it yes. See you in a bit." You said kissing him before leaving.
You got to the appointment and signed yourself in taking the usual flyer. Your name was called and you went up.
The doctor had asked you the usual questions.
"Are you in a relationship? Last time you were here you were dating one George Weasley is that correct?"
"Yes I do but it's not George anymore his name is Charlie Weasley. George and me broke up and me and Charlie have been together for a little over a year now."
"Ahh alright and you two have had intercourse correct?"
"Yes."
"And to your knowledge you aren't pregnant?"
"Not to my knowledge no."
They checked everything and came back a bit later.
"So like before it's still a low chance that you could get pregnant. However low doesn't mean zero there is still a possible chance. You guys aren't trying correct?"
"No not at the moment we aren't."
"So you don't want to try any other options like IVF?"
"No not at the moment."
"Then that should be all. You haven't refilled your birth control for a while know correct?"
"Correct I don't need it refilled."
You left shortly after that and returned home. You weren't expecting anything different but it still stung to hear those words. It sting even more to know Charlie would probably ask even though the two of you weren't trying.
Charlie got home later that night and you were laying in bed with a book.
"Hello love. How are you doing?" He said getting into bed wrapping his arms around you.
"I'm fine I guess." You said putting the book down turning to look at him.
"What's wrong? Is it the appointment?" He said sympathetically.
"Sort of... I didn't expect to hear anything different but it's still sad to hear."
"I don't really know first hand what your going through but I'm here for you alright?"
"Thank you..." you whispered as a tear rolled onto Charlie's hand where it laid in your cheek.
"Here I'll get some pajamas on and make some dinner alright. You want some chicken tenders?"
"Chicken tenders sound great."
Charlie got up and stuck some chicken tenders in the oven and walked back over to where you were laying on the bed.
"Come here."
You scooted over to him and laid your head in his chest as he stoked your hair.
"I love you."
"I love you too." you smiled.
You skied there for a while until the chicken tender timer went off. Charlie got up and came back with two plates of chicken tenders and fry's handing one to you.
"Chicken tenders with a side of ranch and ketchup as well as fries on the side." He said and you laughed taking the plate.
You ate your chicken tenders and fries and Charlie put the plates away crawling back into bed.
The next morning when you and Charlie had both awaken and gotten ready Charlie pulled you aside.
"Hey my mom was pestering me about coming over and visiting at the burrow with you. Do you feel alright to do that?"
"Yea I'm fine let's go."
"Alright." He said and took your hand apparating outside of the burrow.
"Oh y/n dear." Said Molly hugging you at the entrance of the burrow before stepping aside to let you in.
"Sorry we're a little late l Charlie just wanted to see if I was ok consign today."
"That's totally fine are you okay?"
"Yea I'm fine I just had a doctors appointment yesterday."
"Oh is there a unplanned pregnancy."
"Mom..." Charlie wanted and you rubbed your thumbs over the top of his hand.
"No Molly just same old news that its a low chance I'll ever get pregnant. Just got me down in the dumps a bit." You said.
"Oh I'm sorry dear I didn't mean it."
"It's alright Molly I can see why you'd think that."
You went over to the couches and sat down with Charlie and just visited with Molly a bit. You couldn't help but think about all the little Weasleys that ran around the living room once long ago and that you would never have one. It would be alright though as long as Charlie was by your side.
You and Charlie left later that night and decided to go for a walk.
"I'm sorry about my mom earlier."
"What do you mean?"
"With the whole unplanned pregnancy thing."
"It's alright I did word it kind of weird. I said you asked if I felt ok to come and I had a doctors appointment. One can only assume."
"I love you."
"Love you too."
You and Charlie walked back home that night and you walked to bed but you couldn't help but wonder if it would ever be possible to add a little dragon to the two that sat upon the table.
