One Year Later in Seattle Grace...
Lexie's POV:
Mer called me to say she was gonna come visit since we haven't really seen each other that much. She will also bring the twins but isn't gonna bring them to the hospital for Derek. She is about an hour away with Mark who is planning to propose!

Heading to SGH...
Meredith's POV:
Mark is driving to SGH. I can't wait to see Lexie! The twins turned one recently and even though we found out they aren't Marks biological children they have picked up on some of his habits and it's cute because sometimes they will do it at the same time. We decided it was time to see our friends again so we are hoping to have a small get together out of the hospital so everyone can see the twins. Speaking of the twins they are close to walking and have been starting to form words but haven't said their first word!
"You excited to see everyone again?" Mark asks
"Yeah but I'm nervous too!" I respond
"Don't be nervous it'll be ok" he says
"I will try. What if we miss the twins first words or steps while we are at the hospital!?" I ask
"We won't because they know that if they did they would kill mommy. Right babies?" Mark says
"Your cute!"
"Your cute too love!" Mark responds
"I love you so much!" I say
"I love you too!"
*They arrive at the hospital*
"Ok you want to go in?" I ask
"No it's fine I will drop the kids off at the house then come back ok?" He says
"Ok thank you" I say as I give him a kiss
"Kay I will be back soon!"
"Bye!"
I walk into the hospital and automatically see a bunch of my old friends!
"Hi!"
"Oh my god Meredith I didn't know you were coming!" Callie says as she hugs me
"I know it was a surprise!" I say as I start hugging everyone else
"We missed you so much!" Richard says
"I missed you guys too!"
"Where is Mark?" Lexie asks
"He said he wanted to drop off the kids at the old house and call a babysitter then he said he would come over! Oh! Look at that there is my handsome boyfriend" I say turning to the hospital entrance
"Hey guys!" Mark says
"Hey man" Alex says hugging Mark
"So how have the twins been?" Cristina asks
"They are trouble makers. They are about to walk AND speak! Um and they are also picking up on some of their daddies little habits!"
"aww so cute!" Callie says
"Are we gonna see them?" Richard asks
"Um not here at the hospital because of Derek and Rose but maybe if you guys pass by the old house then yeah sure!" Mark says
"Sounds like a plan!" Jackson says
"Just be warned Lucas is very good at getting what he wants and Amelie likes to hug a lot or sleep!" Mark says
"Aww Amelie is a little Mer and Lucas is a little Mark!" Cristina says
"Yeah we know and I told you they are picking up on Marks habits!" I said laughing
We talked for a while then went to talk and walk around the rest of the hospital.

At SGH...
Derek's POV:
I was walking towards the lobby until I heard Meredith say "...to drop off the kids at the old house and call a babysitter then he said he would come over! Oh! Look at that there is my handsome boyfriend" I can't believe Meredith and Mark are a thing and that they are here. I listened to their conversation with everyone and heard about the twins. It sounds like the kids are mine! Now I really wish I knew them. On the other hand me and Rose have been talking about our future and I can tell she wants to get married. I can't stop wondering what the twins look like and what life would be like if I stayed with Meredith.

At the old house...
Mark's POV:
I can't stop staring at my beautiful girlfriend hopefully fiancé playing with the kids. I can't wait any longer I am gonna propose tonight in a little. I've had the ring for a while. Now all that's left is her parents blessings. I walk to get Richard and Adele and pull them to the side.
"Hey what do you need Sloan?" Richard asks
"Well I was wondering if I have both of your blessings to propose to Meredith?" I ask nervously.
"Well even though our blessings don't matter I think I speak for both Richard and I when I say of course!" Adele says
"She's right you have both our blessings!"
"Ok great thanks now I have to ask Thatcher and Susan!"
I run and grab Thatcher and Susan and bring them to the kitchen.
"I have a very important question to ask you both!" I say
"Oh ok well ask us" Susan says
"I was wondering if I have both of your blessings to propose to Meredith?" I say a little bit more confident after the last time I asked the question.
"Oh wow of course!" Thatcher says
"Even though I don't think my blessing matters, yes you have my blessing!" Susan says excited
"Nonsense Meredith loves you like a real mother and she thinks your a great grandmother to the twins!" I say pulling her into a hug.
"Really!" She asks which I nod at.
I can't wait to propose to the love of my life!

At the old house...
Meredith's POV:
I was playing with Lucas and Amelie and Lexie joined. We talked and I saw Richard, Adele, Susan, and Thatcher all leave the room at different points. I kept wondering what was going on but got distracted by others coming to play with the twins. Everyone was back in the same room when Mark asked me to stand up.
Mark got down on one knee and said "Meredith Grey you are the love of my life before I met you I was known as the man whore but you helped get the good out of me. We are raising two beautiful kid together. I love you with all my heart and plan to for the rest of my life if you answer the way I'm hoping you will. Meredith will you make me the happiest man in the universe and marry me?"
"Yes of course Mark!" I said jumping into his arms
"Our love story is just beginning." He whispered in my ear
Everyone came to hug us and we talked and laughed until I heard a knock at the door. I went to go open it and did not expect who was there.
"Derek?" I said walking out and closing the door behind me.
"Hello Meredith." He said
"What are you doing here?"
"I actually don't know. How are you?" He said
"I'm good. I'm really good!" I said
"Good okay... Meredith I still love you and will always love you" he said
"Derek I don't know what I felt for you but that was in the past. I love Mark and he is the love of my life! I'm sorry we can't happen. You have Rose and I'm sure she makes you happy." I said
"Are you sure your happy?" He asked
"I am I really am he makes me a better person." I said
He looked down and saw the engagement ring on my hand. "Oh your actually really happy! I see the ring."
"Yeah he asked a few minutes ago." I said
"I'm sorry this was wrong I should go.." he then walked away. I walked back inside.
"Who was that Mer?" Cristina asks
"That was Derek saying he still had feelings for me." I said
"He wanted you to go back to him!? I'm gonna kill him!" Mark said
"Hey, hey calm down! "A" no mean or offensive words in front of the twins remember? And "B" I'm marrying you aren't I?" I said holding his shoulders.
"Ok I'm sorry" he said
"It's ok" I said kissing his forehead. "I love you"
"I love you too" he said
I'm getting married to the handsomest and kindest man in the world! I have two kids and a great family! I couldn't ask for anything more...
