Little star,

Sorry I have not written until now - William demanded I not send any correspondence for at least the first three days so that you and your new husband can have some time to yourselves to experience martial bliss. I do not think he quite understands your situation.

A most scandalous affair has occurred since your departure. Yesterday morn, Mother demanded the three of us meet her in the reception room. I thought little of it at first, however, upon finally deigning her with my presence I discovered she had invited Miss Asaf Jah - an Indian princess - to luncheon.

Now, you may have thought this bizarre. I certainly did, but that is not even the half of it.

I cannot say what occurs within the four walls during the first hour of her visit, for I, of course, was not present, however, what I can tell you is this; our dearest Alexander is a most coining creature indeed.

The two spent nearly three hours engaged in persistent conversation and upon her leave, she requested that he pay a visit to her at the palace where she has been staying with the Queen!

Of course, she invited the rest of us too but we are all well aware that the invitation was entirely directed at Alex.

Can you believe it?

Despite his continuous declarations that he would never succumb to the ties of matrimony, he now seems perfectly content to fall into the bear trap! I was most disappointed.

You shall have to have a word with him upon your return to London. Although (and I shared this in absolute confidence) the two are a perfect match. I have never seen a couple so in awe of each other - aside from you and your wondrous husband.

Since I have returned to the subject, pray do tell, how is his lordship. Have you finally admitted your excessive adoration for each other or is that still yet to be revealed? I hope so, for I would hate to miss out on such a passionate declaration.

Write to me soon - you are the only sibling I can truly stand and without your presence I feel quite desolate.

I must finish my letter here, for Alexander will surely murder me if I am late for our visit with the Princess.

Yours,
Julius Grey

Ps. Remind me when you return to tell you what occurred the night of your departure between Miss Hayward and a certain Mr Bridgerton. You will not believe it.
