Azula
I woke up at the crack of dawn and could hear Katara's snores from my bottom bunk. Turns out she is a heavy sleeper when she's comfortable and from what I can tell, she is. We are getting assigned a new mission today. Something different to change things up a bit I hope.
I got up and made my way to the bathroom to get ready for the day, then I would wake Katara up. We basically wore the same thing everyday but since we were higher rank we could personalize certain things on our clothing. We decided we wanted something that would be good for both of up so we chose gold and purple stripes along the cuffs and collars of our tops.
Once I was ready I quietly walked up to Katara's bed and up the ladder. She was sprawled out with her mouth open letting out loud snores.
"Mare!" I screamed her name and she shot up with her eyes wide.
When she saw it was me her face went from a look of annoyance and then back to tired. She rolled her eyes and shewed me to get off her bed. It was quite amusing, her hair was sticking in every direction and you could see the drool evident on her face.
"Well good morning to you too, Solis," she said while walking to the bathroom.
We had to be in Viribus' office soon so I hurried her up to get ready. Once she was ready we made our way to her office and nodded in greeting to everyone we saw in the halls. Viribus wasn't so intimidating to us anymore but she still had her moments.
Katara knocked on the door and didn't walk inside until we heard a 'come in' from inside. We walked in and sat on the chairs in front of the desk.
"Good morning Viribus, how are you this fine morning?" Katara asked in her usual sweet voice.
"Quite well, thank you Mare," Viribus responded. " Good morning to you as well Solis," she directs towards me and I nod in her direction.
"I know you both are waiting for the details on your new mission so we will get straight to the point. There is an Earth Kingdom representative who is believed to be associated with the Ronos Gang, I want you to befriend him and you could play this one of two ways. Capture him and interrogate him or befriend him and get the answers willingly. Either way find out who he works for, where their hide outs are, if he knows the names of the people on the inner circle, and anything else you can get out of him," Viribus briefs us on everything and gives us a file that has the minor details such as location and known associates etc.
"Thank you, we will leave in an hour. Is there a time limit on this mission?" I ask before we head out.
"Not in particular but be back with the information in a month I suppose," Viribus responds.
"Will do boss," we both say and give Viribus a goofy two finger salute.
"Now remember your manners ladies," Viribus warns looking between Katara and I.
"Wouldn't dream of forgetting Viribus, see you when we get back," Katara responds followed by a quick bow from the both of us.
We walked out and went back to our room to look over the file and back for our trip.
"Can we just interrogate the guy because I really don't feel like sucking up to another rich guy?" Katara asked me giving her signature eye roll.
I chuckle a little in response.
"Of course because I sure know I'm not doing that," we both laugh and talk about a plan to capture this representative.
We grab our bags and head for the underground tunnels that will lead us to the city in the earth kingdom. I open the hatch to let her go through first while she climbs down the ladder. I follow and we head to one of the automobiles. I'm driving of course because if Katara did we would never make it there.
It only took two and a half hours of driving down the long tunnels and we finally made it to our destination. The league had already set us up with a small place to stay while we are on my mission so we head there first.

Katara
I thought that ride would never end and thank god it did. We headed to the place we were staying, it looked like a normal house you would see that looked like the rest in the town. The only difference was that there was an underground cellar underneath the house.
We walked in and it was the most bland house I have ever walked into, I've been to a lot of places, so that's saying something. When you first walk in there is the common room, to the right the kitchen with a small table to eat at. In between the two room is a door way that leads to a hall with one room and a bathroom next door to it. In the room is simple two beds and a night stand.
"Gosh, you'd think the league would hook us up with something a little better," I said dropping my bag on the ground and unceremoniously plopping on my bed.
"Well this is a small mission Mare, we aren't dealing with someone of that much importance," Azula responds plopping on her bed as well.
"Are we sticking to the usual plan, chloroform the guy then drag him here," I started.
"Then we'll ask him questions, get the answers, blah blah blah, and then we're back home," Azula finishes.
"How exciting Solis, I mean I know we're the best at what we do so we're the best for the job but like can't they give us something a little more, I don't know thrilling?" I say looking over at Azula on the other bed.
"I get where you're coming from Mare but just think. The sooner we get done with the smaller missions the sooner we can have fun with the bigger ones. It's bound to happen soon," she responds looking back at me.
"So tomorrow morning we go for the jump?" I ask Azula.
"Sounds good, I kinda want to relax until then, maybe get a little training in too," she responds.
I shot up from my bed and headed for the common room.
"You get the Pai Sho board set up while I go and get some food for dinner," I yell at her grabbing some money and heading to the door.
"Ok but none of that sea food stuff," she tells before I close the door.
The market wasn't too far away from our place so it didn't take long to get there. In the past few years people of different nations started to mix and spread out living everywhere. This helped me blend in better.

Sokka
Aang, Toph, and I were visiting in an earth kingdom village in hopes to find connections to the Ronos Gang. No one knows anything about them, just rumors. We were staying with a representative for the time being because we would be gone in a short time.
I was getting hungry so I went to the market while the others hung around the house.
It's been 7 years since my sister died when she fell off the cliff. I've missed her so much since her death. We never found her body so I searched for 3 years but she was never found.
I was walking to the meat stand that was next to a vegetable cart. There was a woman there, obviously water tribe. She has the tanned skin and chocolate brown hair.
I bought my meat and was about to head back but remembered Aang has to have something not meat related. I stepped to the vegetable cart and the woman didn't notice me move.
"Um excuse me, can I get a couple of those tomatoes real quick?" I ask snapping her out of her thoughts.
She looked at me and her eyes, her eyes looked just like Katara's. I had to blink a couple times to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
"Of course I was just finishing up, have a nice day," she says back handing the vendor some money.
Before she could leave I asked. "I'm sorry but do I know you from somewhere?"
The girl looked me straight in the face and my breathing hitched. This was Katara, this was my sister. She looked at me like I was crazy, I probably looked that way.
"Katara?" I whispered.
She turned her head slightly to the side to hide her features. "I'm sorry but you have the wrong girl, I'm Sangi not Katara. But it was nice meeting you," and with that she was off.
I tried to follow her but she was fast and I lost her in an alleyway.
I couldn't believe I just saw Katara, she's dead. But we never found the body. I thought, so maybe it really was her. I had to tell Aang and Toph.
I ran home with the food I had already bought and Aang would just have to eat salad and beans.
I slammed the door open and called for my friends.
"Aang, Toph, get down here!" I yell in the house.
I here then coming down the stairs, Aang gracefully flowing down them with Toph thumping her feet on the ground.
"Snoozles this better be important, I was picking my toes," she says, annoyance evident on her face.
"One ew, and two I just saw Katara," I told them.
They looked at me with sympathy and as if I've gone mad.
"Sokka, Katara died seven years ago, we watched her fall off the cliff and there were rocks at the bottom," Aang tells me putting a hand on my shoulder.
"But we never found her body, she could still be alive and I swear I just saw her," I looked at them with pleading eyes for them to believe me.
"Sokka, we talked about this. Katara has been dead for a while now, she wouldn't want you running around on a wild goose chase. She would want you to have a life and be happy," Aang said to me pulling me into a hug.
"I'm not hugging you Snoozles but I agree with Teinkle Toes. We looked for her and I couldn't even find her with my earth bending," Toph says facing my general direction.
I let out a defeated sigh. "I guess, I was just so sure I saw her but you guys are right. She would want me to be happy," I hand them the food and start to walk away.
"Hey Snoozles, why'd you give this to me I can't cook this?" Toph yelled back.
I ran over and grabbed the food apologizing. We ate dinner and when I fell asleep I couldn't help but think about my sister.
