Naruto saw the fireball coming towards him, already feeling the heat even though it was still several feet away from him. He took his hands out of his pockets and quickly made two hand seals. "Water Style: Water Bullets!"
A single large bullet of water came from his mouth and met Sayuri's fireball, the two jutsu colliding as it created a heavy mist that surrounded the top of the hospital roof. Naruto knew exactly what was going on in her head and how this would play out.
If he beat her, she would seek out Orochimaru in the search for more power. That much was evident. If he lost, she would be glad for the power and still go to Orochimaru for more. He couldn't even fake a stalemate because she knew exactly what he was capable of. A frown marred his features.
He knew what he had to do.
He disappeared in a yellow flash and reappeared right behind Sayuri before grabbing the younger Uchiha by the throat and lifting her up in the air. He hated what he was about to do. But he needed to do it. If she were anything like Sasuke, then he had to make sure she had to get stronger.
Even if she didn't get stronger here. He laughed inwardly. Had he grown to care about the person he once called fake? The person who had replaced Sasuke? His brother? He shook his head. Now was not the time for such thoughts. He had to make sure she went to Orochimaru.
"Did you really think you could beat me?" His voice was cold and Sayuri's eyes widened as she gasped for air, kicking at Naruto's body and clawing at his arm and hand, her nails raking at his skin as he bled. But he didn't even flinch. He just looked at her with those cold blue eyes that were devoid of any human emotion.
They were dead.
"Did you really think someone who Itachi didn't even think was worthy of killing could beat me?" He threw her to the ground, the teen coughing slightly as she massaged her throat. She would kill-
Her thoughts died instantly as Naruto glared at her, releasing all of his Killing Intent on the girl just as he did at the academy when they had become Genins. The look in his eyes, the kunai in his hands, the way his face only looked at her with pure loathing. Her body was trembling as she imagined several ways of dying, all at the hands of Naruto.
"I'm disappointed in you. Just a bit of Killing Intent and you're a shaking mess? How can you say you'll kill Itachi with such hatred in your voice yet lack the resolve to get stronger? You can train all day and night, but as you are now with that sentiment in your heart you will never get as strong as me, let alone Itachi."
"Naruto. . ." Sakura whispered as she watched her two teammates fight, no, they weren't fighting. Naruto had already won. She knew it. He knew. And Sayuri knew it. But even then, he was going too far! Didn't he care about her?
"Soon I'm going to go on a training trip with Jiraiya," Naruto spoke, shocking Sayuri even further. "I'm going to reach a new level of power than even Itachi couldn't dream of. What are you going to do while I'm gone? Certainly, you won't just lay around and stay being weak. What are you going to do, Sayuri? I beat you in a spar. I showed you a hint of my power and you're sitting on the ground cowering. What are you willing to do to catch up?" He bent down to his knees and leaned to her ear.
"Don't you want to kill Itachi? If so then you need to get all the power you can get. I'm not going to make the decisions for you, Sayuri. But one day you're going to need to see the things that aren't just in the village. Let me give you a bit of advice," He wasn't speaking any louder than he had to, this was for Sayuri's ears and Sayuri's ears only.
"Your best chance at getting stronger is going to Orochimaru." He whispered. Her mouth opened slightly. How had he read her mind? What was he?
"You're not him," She whispered, the marks on her face disappearing back into the curse mark. "You're not Naruto!" She shouted as tears welled up in her eyes. Naruto took a step back, his eyes widening as the killing intent disappeared in an instant.
"W-What?" He looked as if she had just slapped right across the face.
"You're not Naruto!" She shouted again, the tears that had gathered in her eyes spilling as she shook her head and stood up. "You used to be bright! You used to be happy! Even if we fought you had a good heart! Then you changed out of nowhere overnight! You were such a hopeful person, screaming you'd become Hokage and gain the respect of everyone but now you're only tearing things down! You're not Naruto Uzumaki!
"Every time you called someone a fake you were talking about yourself! You're not the real Naruto, you're the fake! You killed the real Naruto and put him somewhere!" She screamed as Naruto took more steps back, his eyes wide with what looked like fear. "You're a fake! How can I like someone who isn't even real?!"
Naruto's entire face was filled with shock. Was he really a fake? Was this all just a genjutsu to torture him? Is that why? Is that why he couldn't smile as much? Is that why he wasn't happy? Is it because it's all a fake world for Madara to torture him?
Had he really changed that much? He gripped at his hair, his lips turning upward and revealing his teeth as he pulled at the blond strains grasped between his fingers as a chuckle escaped his throat, it bubbled up and one without humor.
"I-I'm fake?" He whispered to himself. "I'm a fake? Where's the real me? I don't even know anymore, I thought everything was fake but it's really me who's fabricated, isn't it?" Another chuckle escaped his mouth as tears flowed down his whiskered cheeks. "Oh my god, it's a genjutsu. I'm in a genjutsu. He's torturing me," He fell to his knees and slammed his fist on the concrete roof.
"Over!" He shouted as his chest began moving up and down frequently as he slammed his fists on the roof again. "And over! And over!" Each time he said 'over' he hit the roof. "And over! And over! And over! And over! And over! And over! And over! And over! And over! And over! It just keeps happening!"
He looked up at the sky. "Are you happy you fucking bastard! First you take everything from me, you took Kakashi-sensei! Sakura-chan! Sasuke! Baa-chan! Pervy Sage! You took everything from me and now you're forcing me to live in this world! Why? Just fucking kill me already you fucking bastard!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, his voice cracking and his throat feeling sore, the tears still running down his cheeks. "DAAAMMMMNNNNNN IIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTT!!!!"
Sayuri and Sakura couldn't do anything but watch their blond teammate have a mental breakdown, both of them unable to move from the sheer shock that had filled their bodies. What was he talking about? What did he mean?
"KILL ME!" Naruto roared at the heavens. "Take me away! Kill me! Cut my head off! Stab my heart! Drown me! Suffocate me! I don't care just stop torturing me!" He cried out in an agony that even Sayuri couldn't compare to. The despair in his voice was too much for her to handle as she fell to her knees, her eyes wide as she stared at the blond boy.
"Madara!" Naruto shouted to the sky. "I said kill me again you bastard! You did it once and sent me here! At least send me somewhere I can still be happy in!" He stopped for a moment as he broke down crying, his bloodied hands from hitting the roof covering his face as his body shook like a leaf in a hurricane. "I-I can't do this anymore, I'm so t-tired of t-trying!"
He felt a metal object in his pocket and remembered he had a kunai in it. "If you won't kill me," Naruto began as the tears dripped off of his chin and onto his skin, the salt burning the open wounds in his hands. "THEN I'LL JUST KILL MYSELF!" He ripped the kunai out of his pocket and plunged it down towards his heart.
"NARUTO NO!" Sayuri and Sakura screamed at the top of their lungs as they tried rushing to their teammate. It all happened quickly.
It all happened in an instant, both girls were stopped from moving forward as Asuma appeared out of no where with his arms spread wide, shaking his hands and Naruto was being restrained by Obito, who was gritting his teeth as he forced the kunai out of his sensei's son's hands.
"Stop it Naruto!" Obito cried out as he tried pinning the blond who tried wrestling out of the Uchiha's grip.
"No! Let me die let me die let me die let me die!" He shouted as the tears continued flowing out of his eyes. "I can't live anymore Obito!" He shouted, causing his sensei to stop moving as he had succeeded in pinning both of Naruto's arms to the ground. "I hate it here! I hate it! I hate my life! I hate living! I just want to die! Let me die you bastard!"
"I'm not going to let one of my precious people die again!" Obito shouted. "Especially not you!"
"That's not your choice!" Naruto snarled weakly. "I, I just don't want to live anymore." He whispered as the energy suddenly drained from his body. Obito peered over his shoulder and met the two girl's eyes, his coal-colored eyes filled with fury.
"Both of you go home," After a moment of them no moving, still utterly shocked at what had just transpired, he glared. "NOW!" He shouted. With that breaking them out of their shock, both girls quickly back into the hospital in a hurry with Asuma lowering his arms, his shoulders slacking as he turned around.
"Why?" Obito asked gently he looked at Naruto, the blond having closed his eyes tightly shut.
"It's too much," Naruto whispered, not being able to raise his voice any higher due to the fact he would start crying again. "It's just too much. I don't want to live anymore." Obito frowned as he checked Naruto for any more weapons on his body, only finding a kunai strapped to his leg. He let out a sigh as he stood up, grabbing Naruto by the arm and standing up.
"We're going to go see Hokage-sama first," Obito stated seriously. "Then, under her orders, you're going to see Inoichi and get you the help you need." Naruto didn't say anything, he just looked forward, his eyes glazed over and filled with nothing, just emptiness. "Asuma and I are going to escort you to both and prevent you from doing anything stupid like that again until we're sure you won't do it again." Naruto didn't even nod.
Asuma got on Naruto's right side, and Obito took his left, and they both escorted him.
Things were going to get rough from here on out.
