Lonely Princess
I was disgracefully dragged away from Father's office up to my palace. They left me inside not even escorting me to my room.
They closed the door behind me, as I wept my heart out.
"Why...?" I just sat here crying, after an hour, I stood up, trying to find a maid that can help me clean myself up but failed.
"Where are they?" I muttered.
I just gave up and walked to my room, stripped off my clothes, and took a bath... alone.
If people find out my situation, everyone will think I'm not a princess but a servant.
I was right... I'm the firstborn yet I'm treated like a servant. I looked a the mirror hanged on the wall. I should be the Empress, why am I gonna be sold and not her?
I'm much more worthy than her. She's just a rat that came out of nowhere and took my father and my people. I'll retrieve what's mine.
That's enough taking. You'll fall, Athanasia, I'll wait for the day you'll bow down to me crying for mercy.
Without noticing, the time has already passed, I'm now a 13-year-old princess.

Just a few more months and I'll have my debutante and will be 14 years old. I've started taking my studies seriously, but I haven't been thought about how to rule the kingdom. When I asked, they only said it's Father's orders.
For the past 5 years, I never saw Athanasia again. I chose it to be that way. I requested for palace maids, that'll stay in my palace and a couple of teachers.
I still attend parties hosted by the palace, but I never saw her there. I only see Father, but he'll also leave after a few minutes.
"Princess, dinner's ready." Someone said behind me, I stood up and walked to my dining hall. I still live in the Ruby Palace, I was never transferred to the Emerald Palace, because of her.
My meals... It looks like something that you can find in a commoner's home. I just ate it, than eating nothing. After eating, I went back to my room and started to write a letter.
A letter that will be addressed to his Majesty, my Father.
I spent my night like that. Writing and not getting satisfied with how I wrote it and repeat. When morning came, I finished it... finally.
"Excuse me!" I caught a knight's attention. "Please, give this to His Majesty." I ordered.
And since I'm still a princess despite the treatment, the knight can't ignore my orders.
He grabbed the letter, bowed and left.
I just hope that the letter will reach His Majesty's desk. Please. I turned around but stopped. I felt someone, staring at me.
I abruptly turn my head back but saw no one. I hurried back inside the palace.
"Who was that?" I muttered.
