Alexander's POV
"Honey... come on" Sophie said softly, leaning down and grasping my shoulders
I shook my head, staring at her. At my daughter... my poor daughter in my arms.
"We have to go darling" she said, everyone had stopped after Raven collapsed.
Narissa was gone, so the demons only option was to run.
And now everything was silent...
And I prayed to god I'd hear her heartbeat... but nothing.
I- it hurt, it hurt so much, to see her limp, no colour in her face.
I got up slowly, holding her in my arms, her legs dangling and hair fallen over the edge
Like a rag doll
"Today... today is..." I couldn't speak
I didn't know what to say, I was their king and I had no fucking clue what to say.
So I didn't... I walked out, with my daughter close to my heart and my family following after me, leaving everyone to the grief that was drowning us all.
Blossom's POV
"Sin... Sin please wake up" I cried, his face in my hands and tears streaming down my face
"Sin" I begged, he wasn't moving
He was still breathing but it was so faint.
"Sin" I pleaded, shaking him in my arms
I couldn't lose him. Not now.
I don't know what was happening with the pack, or why my sister was... gone
But I couldn't lose him too
It all hurt too much.
I held him to me, rocking us back and forth ever so slightly, listening to his breathing
That's all that mattered right now to me
Just... making sure he was still breathing.
"I- I love you" I whispered, the breeze of the night making the tears roll coldly down my skin
I glanced up, Lincoln's body was lying mangled a few feet away, and not a soul was around.
It was completely quiet, I felt alone... and scared
What am I supposed to do? He glowed
He actually... glowed. How do I help him? I couldn't possibly carry him and the pack link was completely cut off.
"Sin... Sin baby... please wake up, I- I need you. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do without you" I cried, holding him tighter
I needed him, I physically needed him to live
It hurt so much seeing him like this.
"Are you okay?" I jumped in fright, looking up at the voice, there was a man.
I had twisted my head round to see him as he came through the side alley of the house
"W-who are you? Stay away!" I shouted, he put his hands up immediately.
"I'm sorry, I- I'm just trying to help, the hall was attacked, I just... well everyone's running or wounded and I, I smelt blood" he explained, his gaze flicking to Lincoln's body
I tried to control my breathing
"Stay back!" I shouted frantically as he neared us.
Who is he? Why would he follow the smell of blood?
"Hey... I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to help" he said, crouching down over Lincoln's body and checking him over
It was evident he was dead, his chest was practically ripped out.
"W-who are you?" I asked
"My names Tate... I'm a guard for the Pearl lake pack" he said gently
I didn't say anything, I just held Sin tighter
"Can you tell me your name?" He asked softly, like I was a child.
"Blossom" I answered
His face fell into recognition
"You're the future Luna" he said, I nodded, trying my hardest not to cry
"What happened?" He asked.
"He collapsed" I said, my voice breaking at the end. He knew there was more too it
I could see it on his face
And it was clear as Sin's skin still had small white bolts running under his skin
And the burn marks on his wrist from the silver handcuffs.
"Alright... Maybe we shoul-"
"Blossom!" I jumped at the voice, twisting my head round
Warren...
"Warren... Warren" I cried, feeling the fresh tears start to stream again.
He looked down at the situation, Mags coming up behind him, an equally shocked expression on her own face.
"Bloss... what- what happened?" He asked, looking over Sin... my bruises and cuts
"He collapsed, he needs a hospital Warren please" I cried, my head falling into Sin's chest.
His jaw tensed, and he looked at Tate
"Did he do this?" He growled, striding towards him.
"No... no I didn't- I- I just found them" he stuttered out, backing up.
"Warren... please" I begged
I cried and cried. So much I must have blanked out for a while as I soon found myself in Mags' arms
I was crying for everything. Everyone
All the links I felt tear away from my heart
For Sin, in pain and unconscious
For my sister. My... my beautiful little sister...
I'd never see her again
"Ssh, ssh... it's alright darling" she comforted, stroking my hair
I couldn't speak, I could barely move...
Alexander's POV
"What do we do now?" Sophie asked quietly, staring out the window
I didn't have the answer, I was too preoccupied staring at Raven as she lay on the hospital bed
Unmoving... like she was just... peaceful
"Darling" she said, and then I felt her hands weave into my hair, and I leant it against her stomach as she stood above me.
I wound my arms round her waist, holding her as tight as I could
We lost so many... too many
Family.
"Dad... dad... it's Sin" Toby shouted, bursting through the doors
The marks around his neck were bright red, only reminding me of another person I could have lost tonight.
But the mention of Sin's name sent a surge through me
"What?" I asked immediately
"He's... hes- well he's passed out" he said breathlessly
"What do you mean?" Sophie asked worried.
"He collapsed... he killed Lincoln and then he started glowing and shit and he passed out" he explained
"Like..." Sophie trailed off, her eyes flickering to Ravens body.
He collapsed. Just like Raven. Glowing. Just like her
No... no no no
"Where is he?" I asked sternly
"Three doors down, Mags is trying to comfort Blossom but she won't stop crying" he said.
I nodded slowly, looking at the floor as I thought
What if... what if he's suffered the same as Raven? What if he... what if he dies too?
"Don't think like that" Sophie snapped, reading my mind
I sighed
"Will you stay... with Raven?" I asked Toby, I didn't want her to be alone.
She had been alone for far too long
He nodded, so I took Sophie's hand and we made our way down to Sin.
We had to be strong. For everyone
Toby's POV
There were people everywhere
The place was packed with wolves needing medical treatment, Tyler and Cory were running around everywhere trying to help people.
And I was here... stood silently in a room with Raven's... body
I blew out a breath, what the fuck do I do?
"Uh... hey" I said, nearing her, I know she couldn't here me
She was gone... but talking was probably the only way I was going to get through this.
"You uh... you were a good sister really... I guess. I mean we didn't really get to know each other. But you seemed cool" I said, sitting down beside her bedside
"And... it hurts" I added quietly, staring down at my hands.
I wasn't bonded to her in any way, we hadn't had time to create one, so all this pain, it was emotional, it wasn't reflex, it wasn't the moon goddess
I was just... sad. Sad she was gone
Sure she was scary, but I liked it.
I had always wanted a sister. A younger one
Who me and Sin could protect. Be the big brothers and sworn off anyone who ever tried to hurt her
And though she was older, more mature and certainly more cultured than me.
I feel like I failed her
That we weren't there to protect her
To reassure her that we would always be there for her
Just so she knew... that someone cared
That someone loved her.
Cory's POV
The place was overrun with injured wolves
Packs from all over had come to celebrate Blossom tonight, and after the incident with Lacey neither her nor Sin could be found.
So it was up to me, Tyler and Alexander's beta to help people
But even for a beta and gamma... this was a lot
I was in the middle of helping an elderly woman into a hospital bed when I smelt something... something... sweet
Something intoxicating.
But it was gone as quick as it came, and from then on my wolf was restless in my head, I tend to focus but I couldn't, what on earth was that?
Blossom's POV
"Sin... please... don't give up. I- I can't live without you" I cried softly, his hand firmly in mine
He was in hospital, the white glowing under his skin had faded.
He was just... still
Like he was asleep, but I feared if he would ever actually open his eyes again.
My own stung, with all the crying and pain I couldn't help it.
Sophie and Alexander were talking to the doctors, and Warren was getting Mags checked out. I didn't know where Acacia was, or if they had even moved her from the hall yet with all this chaos
But I prayed they had
That she was... comfortable. And safe now
I wanted to see her, so badly.
But I couldn't leave Sin
"Mind if I join you?" I looked up, seeing Tate in the doorway
"Um... okay" I said, I didn't really care what he did, as long as I could stay with Sin.
I needed to be here when he woke up
Because he will wake up. He has to.
Sin's POV
I could see nothing
I could feel nothing
It was like being I was floating around under water
No sound, no air, and no life.
"Sin Black"
The voice echoed around my head, it was a woman's voice
"Who are you? Where am I?" I asked back
But it was just my voice echoing back.
I couldn't actually hear myself speak
"I... am Selene. And you... you are trapped" she replied
"Trapped?" I asked back
"Mhm, in your own head" she said.
What? What the fuck was going on?
"You need to figure it out, before it's too late" she said
"Too late for what?" I asked, but she didn't reply
"Too late for what?!" I shouted into the darkness.
Blossom's POV
My head was pounding, my back was aching, and I was curled up in the chair, my hand still encasing Sin's
Waiting... for any sign that he was still with me. That he'd wake up.
I felt so mentally exhausted
Raven... was gone. Narissa...
So many people were hurt. Killed
I just wished things went back to the way they were, I wish I wasn't sat here fearing for the very life of my mate.
I leant forward, planting a kiss on his forehead and snuggling back into the chair
We all needed sleep, even if the hallway was still brimming with noise.
Members and wolves fighting for their lives
"I love you" I whispered to him, letting sleep overtake me.
