Finally a Haruki centered chapter! However we don't get Haruki's POV, I'm saving that for later on in the story when shit rlly goes down LMAO

Omg Also^ Above is the color of Haruki's crystal style!

••Third Person POV••

In tow of recent events, Shikadai, Boruto, and Mitsuki all formed a sort of crime-fighting alliance. Well, a ghost fighting alliance would be the better way to put it.

With Boruto being the only person who could visibly see the odd effects of this 'ghost', Shikadai being right by his side through it all, and Mitsuki being suspiciously compliant with all of the blond boy's actions, the three boys dedicated their free time to figure out just what was going on.

Just like they are right now, Boruto, Mitsuki, and Shikadai were all together on top of a bridge overlooking the lower parts of Konoha, formulating their plan on how to capture the 'ghost' that had been causing havoc within the academy.

It was lunchtime, so the three boys found themselves hanging out together to try and stop this 'ghost' before the seventh Hokage, Naruto could. More like it was Boruto who was pushing that narrative.

As they stood around waiting for the next ghost attack, they all started talking about their classmates. Mitsuki was curious, asking questions about certain kids and Boruto was none the wiser, answering without any qualms.

Shikadai was a bit reserved about spewing details about his classmates to Mitsuki though, he still didn't know just how much Mitsuki could be trusted.

"So, Runa and Haruki are twins?" Mitsuki asked, turning to the blonde boy curiously.

"Huh? Yeah, they are." Boruto responded, turning to Mitsuki as well.

"They must be very similar then." Mitsuki baited, hoping Boruto would go on to speak more of the girls.

The more intel he had, the better.

Luckily for Mitsuki, Boruto had no issues sharing his thoughts and opinions of the two girls he's known since forever ago.

"Runa and Haruki are totally different! Runa is much more of a fighter, and she's insufferable, Haruki is way nicer and doesn't like fighting all that much." Boruto claimed confidently.

"Haruki's the one with white hair right? What makes you say that?"

Mitsuki was intrigued, he sensed both of the girl's chakra already and to his understanding, Haruki was the one with a far more threatening aura.

To hear that she wasn't one for fighting was...intriguing, to say the least.

"Ever since we were little, Haruki wasn't into playing ninja with the rest of us and we would all play outside without her," Shikadai explained, placing a fingertip on his chin as he reminisced over their past

"Oh, that's right! She was always inside with our moms, playing with those stuffed toys." Boruto agreed, also remembering how the white-haired Uchiha never really joined in their roughhousing, unlike Runa who exploited every opportunity possible to try and beat Boruto.

"I see, so Haruki doesn't like fighting?"

"No, she avoids it like the plague and gets really nervous about it sometimes. Remember that one time Runa tried forcing her outside to hang out with the rest of us?" Shikadai asked, turning to Boruto.

Boruto nodded, already knowing the incident his friend was speaking of.

••Boruto's flashback••

They were all just about six years old, hanging out in the Uchiha household's immense back yard as they did every time they met up like this.

The mothers were all inside, Hinata, Ino, Haru, Sakura, and Temari all gossiping in the lounge area where they could watch their kids from a good distance yet remain in the fresh air conditioning provided by Haru's home.

"Haruki's such a good girl, but I feel bad she's playing all alone." Ino pouted, looking over her shoulder from her place on the couch to take a look at the little Uchiha girl who was playing with some teddy bears by herself.

"Yeah I get that, but she gets nervous whenever fighting is involved." Haru sighed, taking a look at her little girl who seemed very involved in a storyline she's just created between her plushies.

"I told you guys about how recently she's been accidentally triggering her crystal style and it's been scaring her," Haru admitted.

Sakura nodded from her place next to Hinata. "I talked to Shinji about it and he told me it's normal for kids with crystal style to have that happen every once in a while since they don't know how to control it.

I did my own research and found that every one out of two Oshiro kids reported incidents of this happening back from when they were an active clan."

Haru's eyebrows raised at the statistic, smirking a bit at the little sweatdrop Sakura formed because her daughter Hanako was 50% Oshiro, just like Haru, so she had a much higher probability of going through the same thing.

"Really? Did that ever happen to you Haru?" Ino asked

"Nah, since I had all those suppressants in my body a lot of my abilities came out later on in life or just wonky. Remember my regenerative ability? That shit barely worked when I was a kid." Haru snorted, taking a sip of her drink.

Thinking back to Haruki, Haru turned back around and frowned, noting that she did look awfully lonely.

"Haruki baby c'mere! Hang out with us!" Haru called out, a smile tugging on her lips as her little girl immediately perked up and stood from her spot on the floor, rushing over to join her mom and aunties.

Haruki sat on the large carpet stretching over the glossy wooden floors, right in front of her mom's place on the couch. She gently placed her two stuffed teddy bears on the ground before getting comfy herself.

"Look guys, she got all dolled up today," Haru claimed, smiling knowingly at the other moms as Haruki settled down in her spot on the carpeted floor.

Hinata smiled as well, knowing of the cute crush Haruki had formulated on her own son, Boruto. And the fact that Haruki insisted on getting all cute and ready whenever he was around.

Hinata understood Haruki perhaps on another level to the rest of her friends, probably because she saw herself in Haruki.

The white-haired girl was just too shy to approach Boruto, and with the blonde boy being none the wiser, Hinata felt like she was watching a mini re-enactment of her own childhood crush on Naruto!

Haruki looks up and smiles at the praise from her aunties who all claimed she looked so cute with her naturally curled hair and pretty dress before returning to her stuffed toys.

Temari smiles fondly, reaching over and placing a hand on Haruki's head. "She's so well-mannered, makes me wish I had a little girl." She sighed longingly, to which Haru laughed out loud.

"Aw, c'mon Shikadai is just like Shika!" She mused much to Temari's dismay.

All of the women looked out through the glass, noting how Boruto and Runa were fighting for what seemed like the hundredth time, Inojin was sitting down and drawing something, Chocho was keeping score of the fight between Runa and Boruto, and Shikadai-

He was asleep.

Temari deadpanned before turning to her friends. "Yeah, that's my point, they're too alike."

After a quick laugh, the women resumed their talking and gossiping as Haruki played silently.

The peace didn't last as long as everybody would've hoped because soon enough Runa was walking in through the sliding glass doors like a woman on a mission. (Albeit, the visual of a six-year-old Runa stomping over to her sister was adorable.)

The conversations all halted, as did the playing outside as Boruto waited for Runa to come back.

"Runa? You want something to drink?" Haru asked, standing up once she noticed how disheveled and sweaty Runa had become since she's been outside playing like crazy ever since Boruto came over.

Runa didn't respond, but she didn't need to as Haru was already on her way to the kitchen preparing drinks for all of the kids outside. Runa approached Haruki and pouted, dropping to her knees to match up with Haruki.

"Ruki let's go outside!" Runa pouted much to Haruki's hesitance. "I don't wanna," Haruki mumbled, clutching her teddy bear closer to her body out of reflex.

Haruki was never one to go outside and 'play ninja' regardless, as she was always found perched on her father's lap even back when he was around meanwhile the rest of the kids were running around.

But now with this new crystal style jutsu that had effectively scared the living daylights out of Haruki, she was even more hesitant to go out there and rough around a bit.

What if the scary crystal thing happened again and she hurt somebody?! She wouldn't be able to live with herself!

"Aw c'mon Haruki! Just one match!" Runa whined, tugging on her sister's hand and effectively pulling her out to their backyard. Runa was stronger and more athletic than Haruki was at that point in their lives, seeing as Haruki practically lived within pillows and Runa was always testing her physical limits.

"Runa I don't wanna!" Haruki flushed, trying to tug her hand out of her sister's grip, but to no avail, Runa beat her when it came to brute strength even as little girls, so it was to nobody's surprise that Haruki was being dragged with ease.

Sakura, Hinata, Ino, and Temari all perked up a bit, noticing that Haruki seemed to no longer be lightly whining, but instead was starting to grow very nervous and afraid. The women were just about to intervene and diffuse the situation, but before they could-

"Runa I said no!" Haruki cried out of pure panic, and there was a small rumble in the ground before a huge crystal spike emerged from her arm, almost accidentally piercing through Runa's torso solely because of their proximity to one another.

The crystal was clear in color, technically white like a diamond with rainbow/holographic sparkles flashing through the sun's reflection as Haruki was effectively pulled outside before the crystal appeared.

Everyone from the Oshiro clan had their own unique colors when it came to crystal manipulation, Shinji's being a bright blue and Haru's being a ruby red. It was to their amusement that their little Haruki had her own rainbow fairy colored crystal!

The fairy part was added by Haruki herself, even within her own terrors she couldn't help but add the enchanting twist.

Virtually all the women sprung into action as soon as they saw the crystal emerge from Haruki's arm, with Temari & Ino jumping to Runa's aid and Hinata & Sakura jumping to calm down Haruki.

Both girls were crying, Runa out of shock because that really big sharp sparkly thing almost murdered her and is stuck on her sister's arm, and Haruki because she was absolutely terrified of this exact same situation even happening in the first place.

"What the hell is going on?!" Haru gasped, rushing over to the scene to console her now very frantic daughters.

Boruto watched from afar with widened eyes, and the scene was so disruptive that Shikadai had woken up moments prior to witness the whole thing go down.

Haru immediately picked up Runa and hugged her close, quieting her down like it was magic before turning to Haruki and trying to soothe her as well.

Runa wrapped her arms around Haru's neck and shoved her face in the crook of her shoulder, whimpering out of fear

"Honey it's fine! Everyone's okay! Look Runa is fine!" Haru exclaimed, trying to convince Haruki that she hadn't just severely hurt her own sister.

Haruki was tucked into Hinata's arms with big tears streaming down her cheeks while Sakura was tending to her outstretched arm encased in crystal.

"Haruki you need to calm down a bit okay? Then the crystal will go away." Sakura gently claimed, the medical ninja stored within her springing out to try and soothe Haruki.

The only way the crystal could disperse or break in the first place is by Haruki's own doing, or a very skilled swordsman at work. With no swordsman in sight, their best option was to try and calm her down.

Since Runa's face was tucked into her mom's shoulder, Boruto couldn't see the tears running down her face. However, he did in fact see Haruki crying, and he didn't hesitate before running over to try and help.

Again, he was only six, had zero clues as to why there was this giant diamond spike encasing her arm, but he still dashed over to her with zero hesitation.

"Haruki! Are you okay?" Boruto exclaimed, shifting his way between all of the moms to get to his own mom who was holding Haruki. All of the women froze, turning to the two with widened eyes.

Everyone was ready to protect Boruto and get him away in case Haruki freaked out further but to their surprise, she paused as well. With tears streaming down her face, she blinked confusedly at him.

He slowly glanced between her face and the crystal before tilting his head. "Why're you crying?"

Of course, she didn't answer, more like she couldn't. She was Tongue-tied, caught between really wanting to respond and trying to figure out what to say.

Haru and the rest of the moms shared glances, seeing as Haruki was starting to calm down a bit.

"She's crying because the crystal showing up was a little scary, but everything's okay now right Haruki?" Ino asked, bending down to reach their height with a wide smile, knowing Haruki herself wouldn't answer the blonde.

Boruto took a step forward out of concern for Haruki, seeing as her tears weren't letting up despite her nodding to Ino. "Scared? But I think it's really cool!" He exclaimed, shifting his focus to the sparkling diamond encasing her arm.

Haruki's dark eyes widened at his words, a reddish color suddenly flooding her cheeks at the compliment as if her cheeks weren't already colored enough from him being near her in the first place.

Haruki looked away from Boruto, tucking her face into the crook of Hinata's neck for some sort of moral support, to which the Hyuga gladly offered by gently playing with her hair.

"Haruki what do we say when we get compliments?" Haru asked, a knowing smirk on her lips as she rubbed circles on Runa's back.

Haruki didn't look up from Hinata's neck but still managed to squeak out a small 'thank you!' that had everyone saying their "awwwws" and Boruto's eyes widening in surprise.

Although it wasn't necessarily directed at him.....it was still for him right?!

With Haruki thoroughly distracted by the fact that Boruto was so nearby, she didn't even know how she managed to break apart her crystal, having it disperse into thousands of glittering pieces.

Boruto gaped at the sight before mindlessly grabbing onto Haruki's hand and tugging her out of Hinata's hold, pointing to the falling sparkling pieces in amazement.

"You did that?!" He gasped excitedly, failing to notice the way Haruki was seconds away from fainting because he tugged her right into his side and she had never been this close to him in her life!!

Before she could virtually die in his arms, however, Temari was to the rescue already seeing that this was wayyyy too much for Haruki's sensitive heart to handle, and she picked her up whilst ruffling Boruto's hair.

"She did! Hehe, let's go back outside hm?" Haru smiled, reaching out her free hand that wasn't holding onto Runa to Boruto.

Boruto, always the little boy with a massive crush on his dad's old teammate, nodded obediently and took her hand without any hesitance.

He didn't forget about Haruki however and turned around to wave at her goodbye, the last thing he remembered from that day being her shyly waving back.

••Memories end••

As Boruto recalled the events from many years ago, Shikadai nodded along.

"That was probably the only time we ever saw her use those crystals. She's even like that now, She just chooses not to fight whenever she doesn't have to," Shikadai stated.

"So Runa's the one who fights more often?" Mitsuki asked in intrigue, Shikadai & Boruto both nod in unison.

"They couldn't be more different, Haruki is the type to let someone win even if she has the upper hand, and even if she wins she beats the other person as gently as possible. But Runa's really competitive." Shikadai sighed, resting his chin on his hand as he overlooked the streets beneath the bridge they're all on.

"In our physical exams, Runa and Haruki got the same time on everything though," Mitsuki claimed, confused.

"Yeah, that's cuz Runa would never let her fall behind. So Haruki just matches up to her so that Runa won't complain." Boruto replied, telling Mitsuki a bit more about the interesting dynamic of the twins.

The topic of the twins eventually shifts onto other students, and to avoid looking too interested in the Uchiha girls Mitsuki went along with the change.

However, his curiosities would only be piqued by what would happen next.

"Hi, Mitsuki right? Can I speak with you?" A soft voice suddenly spoke up, causing the three boys to whirl around in surprise.

Boruto literally almost choked on thin air at the sight of who the voice belonged to.

There she was, Haruki Uchiha who stood around the same height as the rest of the boys, looking directly at Mitsuki as she spoke.

She had a fire lit up under her ass from her previous confrontation with her own sister and Sumire at the grocery store, but she quickly found the fire dwindling into sheepishness as she stood across from her three classmates.

She had no clue that they were all talking about her moments prior, all she knew was that Mitsuki is someone she wanted to consult on her issues.

She was fiddling with the straps of her pastel-colored bag as she awaited Mitsuki's response, biting her inner cheek out of pure habit. It was a lot for her to walk up to Boruto's group of friends without Inojin around as her moral support, but she needed someone to talk to.

And she sensed that Mitsuki could be the one who'd believe her.

She then glanced over at the bewildered faces of Boruto and Shikadai before flushing a bit herself. "Alone."

Now Boruto's relationship with Haruki has always been a bit complex.

Ever since they were babies, Haruki found herself smitten with the blonde Uzumaki boy. She didn't find it hard to be, with his pretty blue eyes and bright smile, she was confused as to how Runa didn't feel the same way!

She'd always shy away from him though, apparently even as a baby!

According to her mother, Haruki would always hide in the crook of her father's neck whenever Boruto came around for a visit, displaying an adorable father-daughter moment.

Embarrassingly enough, or sweetly enough? Haruki didn't know, In her baby years/fairytale phase she was a firm believer in the fact that Boruto was who she was destined to be with, her prince charming!

In today's time, well she could only hope it was true...

Haruki kept her lovestruck dreams and hopes to herself, never ever showing Boruto an ounce of how much she actually liked him, and as a result, Boruto has been led to believe she simply hated him.

How could he not? They've never shared a word after a lifetime of being in each other's lives!

And yet-

He couldn't help but be a little charmed by her.

Charmed is an understatement- he's been hung up on her ever since they were babies!

Maybe the fact that Boruto barely knew anything about her added to her appeal, but he's always found Haruki to be one of the prettiest girls in any of his classes. She was also just so sweet to those around her, how could he not feel a certain way about her?!

He couldn't help the jealousy that bubbled up in his chest every time he saw her be so friendly to other people. Why couldn't she act that way with him? They've known each other since forever!!

So to see her now, standing in front of him, blushing as she asks Mitsuki if they could talk privately.....

He's fuming

He had no idea that her cheeks turned that rosy shade all because of him, misguided by all of her confusing signs, Boruto believed she was blushing because of Mitsuki!

Boruto watched, appalled by the sight of a smiling Mitsuki and a blushing Haruki walking off together.

"Wow, didn't see that coming." Shikadai mused to himself with a hand under his chin before sending Boruto a worried glance.

"You okay?"

Shikadai has been a witness to Boruto and Haruki's odd relationship for years as well, practically growing up beside the pair via the hundreds of play dates and sleepovers all of their moms would arrange.

"Huh? Yeah of course I'm fine! Why wouldn't I be?" Boruto asked with an air of confidence that was easily noted as fake by the young Nara.

"I don't know, do you normally hold onto bridge railings like you're trying to snap them in half?" Shikadai deadpanned, eyeing Boruto's obvious signs of jealousy.

Boruto looked down at his hands and felt his eyes widen in return. His knuckles had nearly turned white from how tight his grip on the railings was.

Okay....maybe he was a little peeved.

"I just don't get it! What business does she have with Mitsuki?!" Boruto asked, letting go of the railing and turning to Shikadai in exasperation.

"Maybe Haruki has been sensing the ghosts as well, you know she's a sensory type. And a damn good one at that." Shikadai claimed, stating the very clear obvious.

If there was one thing Haruki prided herself in, took the number one spot, floored the rest of her classmates in, it would be her skills as a sensory type ninja.

Of course with the elite and specialized training of her mother from a young age, Haruki turned out to be spectacularly gifted, and this was a secret to nobody.

....Playing hide and seek with her was always annoying, although, for some odd reason, she could never find Boruto-

"If that's the case, then why didn't she talk to the rest of us about it? And why was she blushing?!"

"Maybe she didn't want to talk to the rest of us because you're here, and she'd be singling you out." Shikadai wondered, noting how Boruto visibly deflated at his words.

"Why does she hate me so much?! I still don't get it!"

Shikadai couldn't help but roll his eyes at the obliviousness of his blonde friend sometimes. "Boruto c'mon, you know Haruki really likes you-" Shikadai started off

"L-likes me?! There's no way, you've seen the way she acts around me!"

"Yeah, that's exactly how I know she likes you." Shikadai deadpanned

"There's no way," Boruto affirmed, looking off in the direction Mitsuki and Haruki took instead of facing his friend.

Shikadai audibly sighed and looked off in the same direction "Let me guess, You want to follow them?"

Boruto was off before Shikadai could even finish his statement.

••••••

"Sorry about pulling you away from your friends." Haruki apologized sheepishly, taking a good look at Mitsuki's side profile.

He's handsome...She internally noted though she couldn't think this way for too long as Mitsuki was quickly turning to meet her gaze and initiate conversation himself.

"You've known them for a while right? Boruto and Shikadai," He asked, wanting to gain intel on even the smallest things. Now that this golden opportunity has appeared out of thin air, Mitsuki intended to take advantage of it.

Mitsuki's known about Haruki and Runa since before he ever even approached the village.

With his father being Orochimaru, he's been made very well aware of the two Uchiha girls and has been ordered on multiple occasions to become closer with them for intel's sake.

Of course, Mitsuki isn't going to follow his father's every demands to such extremes, but when Haruki came up to him and offered her company, he couldn't help but indulge a bit in his father's curiosities.

"Yeah! Shika and I have been friends since we were really little! He's amazing." Haruki confirmed, happy to speak about her childhood friend

"And Boruto?" Mitsuki asked, arching his brow at the way her cheeks reddened and she coyly looked away.

"Oh...yes I've known him for a long time too." She digressed, not putting in nearly as much enthusiasm in her explanation of the blonde as her other friend, Shikadai.

Mitsuki found this interesting, it was obvious by the way Boruto spoke of her, the flashback, and how Haruki reacts to Boruto that they have a rather unique dynamic.

Before Mitsuki could dig deeper, Haruki was changing the subject, obviously a bit flustered by the mention of Boruto.

Mitsuki couldn't help but note how although her chakra presence was massive, almost intimidating given the right circumstances, she still held such a warm and inviting presence.

What an odd mixture of traits!

Runa was similar, her chakra though seemed like a vault of untapped potential in comparison to Haruki's, which resembled a well of power and mystery.

Mitsuki was becoming more and more intrigued the longer he stood by her side.

"Mitsuki, I know we've never spoken before but I wanted to talk to you about a theory of mine." Haruki proposed. She fiddled with the strap of her bag, a trait she developed in order to distract her whenever she'd get nervous from what Mitsuki could tell.

"Theory?" He mused, turning to her in intrigue. He could assume what it was about, after all, it didn't take a genius to notice that Konoha's Uchiha princess was wary of their very own class rep.

Maybe it was simply because Mitsuki was just far more observant than the others in his class, but he's noticed the way Haruki's kept her distance from Sumire. The way she'd look at her from across the room whenever the purple-haired girl would speak up.

Haruki's chakra would spike up whenever Sumire even got near her, a testament to how sensitive Haruki truly is to things like this.

Clearly, she was freaked out by their class rep.

Haruki sighed before looking over at Mitsuki, an air of determination swirling around her.

"Mitsuki, you know about the incidents going around at the academy don't you?" He nodded, to which she continued.

"I think I know who the culprit is." She stated.

Mitsuki's eyebrows raised, so he was right about her, he honestly expected Runa to catch on as well, but it seemed like she was similar to Boruto and refused to see the bad in people without definitive proof.

"Really? So you are as vigilant as they say you are." He murmured, definitely catching Haruki's attention.

"Who's they?" She asked curiously. Mitsuki's been talking about her?! With who?!

Never in her wildest dreams could she have imagined that he received a full-scale report on her from his own father before he entered the village.

"It doesn't matter, tell me though. Who do you think the perpetrator it is?" Mitsuki was really humoring her at that point, they both knew who it was and he knew that she knew, but for the sake of a flowing conversation, he went along with it.

"I might sound crazy but I think it's Sumire." She admits, looking over at him with widened eyes, hopeful that he'd agree with her. To her surprise, he doesn't immediately reject her statement but instead smiles a bit

"What makes you say that?" He asked, the smile tugging on the corners of his lips distracting her for a moment (He's just so handsome!) before she mentally scolded herself and paid attention.

'No matter how cute a boy is, I can't just doze off like a ditzy weirdo!' She internally squeaked.

"I'm not sure if you already knew this but I'm a sensory type ninja-"

Yes, he knew that very well.

"And ever since I met her, her chakras given me the worst vibes! It's so dark and power-hungry I can't stand being near it!" Haruki said with an urgency in her tone that amused Mitsuki.

He wasn't scared of Sumire, not by a long shot. He knew he could defeat her if it came down to it, but he imagined that Haruki's situation was a bit worse since she didn't have all the intel he did. All she knew was that Sumire was bad news!

"I think you're right. I don't know about her vibes but, her chakra is definitely suspicious." Mitsuki claimed, quirking a brow at the way Haruki's eyes quite literally sparkled at his words.

"Really?! You really believe me?!" She gasped, she couldn't believe that she was right in talking to Mitsuki! Maybe she should listen to her gut more often.....

"You seem surprised." He noted curiously

"My sister and Inojin never believed me, they called me jealous but that isn't the case!" Haruki exclaimed, shaking her head at the memory of those two completely disregarded her warnings.

She was still upset with Inojin and Runa respectively, not understanding why they couldn't just believe her!

Well, Haruki felt like maybe Inojin was really starting to believe her, but claimed otherwise just to tease her- typical Inojin

But Runa really didn't trust In Haruki! The white-haired Uchiha couldn't believe her own sister would downplay her concerns like this, it hurt her!

So, it's nice to have somebody believe her after all of that, Somebody like Mitsuki.

"Jealous? Why would they think that?" He asked, exceedingly curious as to what Sumire could possibly have that Haruki would be jealous of.

With all due respect...Haruki and Runa were the most stereotypically spoiled people in their class, that's including Boruto.

They had looks, money, a mother who babied them, natural talent- Again, he was just a little confused as to how Sumire fit into the equation.

"Does that really matter?" Haruki asked with a blush, not necessarily wanting to expose how Boruto was involved in this scenario to his own friend!

Mitsuki blinked curiously at her colored cheeks, but before he could question her further and possibly get some answer out of her, they suddenly entered a more business orientated area, which meant one thing-

"Haruki-hime! You're so much older than I remember you being! Here, do you want some dango?" A street vendor called out sweetly, waving the Uchiha girl over. She sighed sheepishly before turning to Mitsuki.

"Sorry about that, I should've warned you. Would you like to join me?" She suggested, tilting her head over to the dango stand curiously.

Mitsuki paused, his eyes widening a bit. Haruki froze up as well, taking his silence as reluctance.

"Oh sorry! You can go back to your friends of course, but if you'd like some dango you're free to join!" She smiled sheepishly, toying with the strap of her bag once more.

Mitsuki forced himself out of his state of surprise, and in doing so, he managed to make eyes with an eerily familiar pair of blue eyes from afar, clearly belonging to his blonde friend Boruto. And if he didn't know any better, he'd say Boruto was watching them from a hiding spot!

Easily spotting Shikadai by his side, Mitsuki smirked a bit.

Ah, this could be good.

"Yeah, I'd like that." Mitsuki smiled, to which Haruki's sheepish smile morphed into one of excitement.

"Really?! Oh, you'll love it! Dango is one of my favorite sweets!" She exclaimed happily, grabbing onto his arm and hauling him over to the stand with the woman who called her over.

"Oh look at you! And who's this, a date?" The older woman teased as she prepared the two sets of dango. Haruki practically embodied the color red, shaking her head and waving her arms around in profuse denial, all the while Mitsuki blinked in curiosity.

"Sure." He smiled, only aiding in Haruki nearly dying via choking on air.

"This is a date?!" She squeaked out, resting her hands on her knees to regain her composure and Mitsuki stood calmly by her side.

Mitsuki shrugged, "We're spending our free time together and eating together, so why not?"

Lord have mercy on Haruki's soul.

She's recovered a bit from the blush attack she just had, and instead straightened up, turning to Mitsuki with her hands on her hips. "Mitsuki this can't be a date! I'm not even wearing a cute outfit!"

"Why would you need to change your outfit for a date?"

"The whole point is to be cute!" She exclaimed, taking the dango that was outstretched to her as Mitsuki took his own.

"Hm alright, maybe later then." He smiled, earning yet another attack of blushes and dry heaving coming from Haruki before she could properly stand on her own and walk along with him.

"You can't just say things like that!" She whined, elbowing his arm as if it were going to do anything. Mitsuki didn't bother with her complaints, instead, he tried the dango and his own eyes widened because of just how delicious he found it.

"Oh? Have I converted you into a dango lover?" Haruki smiled, taking a bite herself before sighing at the taste she loves so much.

"This is delicious, we don't have these back home," Mitsuki admitted more so to himself rather than Haruki, but she still reacted all the same, pouting at the news.

"Aw man, then I'm glad you moved here! That way you could detect suspicious people and enjoy Konoha's delicacies." She giggled, obviously not taking her own words seriously as she enjoyed the sweets in her hands.

As they walked into a quieter region of Konoha, Mitsuki couldn't help but let their conversation return to the topic of their class rep.

"Earlier you said that the class rep gave you bad vibes, what does that mean?"

"Oh! When I sense someone's chakra, sometimes I could get a gist of their intentions whether it's negative or positive. I don't know, I just get their vibes! Sumire's were terrible from the start."

"What is mine like?"

"Hmm, I think you're mysterious! And cool! Those are your vibes." Haruki exclaimed, nodding in certainty at her words.

"I'm mysterious to you?" He asked, to which she agreed casually.

"Yeah, I just feel like you're so much stronger than you let on, that's pretty mysterious right?"

" I guess, but by that logic I'd call you mysterious as well."

"Me?!" She gasped, turning to him curiously

"You're far stronger than you let on, I suppose it's something we have in common." He suggested, speaking of her own strengths that she severely downplays.

Haruki paused for a moment, stunted by his words. "I-I'm not that strong, my sister Runa is the real deal though! Maybe you have us confused." She sighed with a smile, shaking her head in denial.

"No, I mean you. I could sense your chakra like you could mine, and I know you're stronger than you let on." Normally, she'd vehemently deny those claims out of her humble nature, never one to boast or brag over her talents to others. This time was no different.

With a small blush forming on her cheeks, shaking her head at the pale skinned boy.

"Maybe we have other things in common, but strengths aren't one of them." She said, earning a quirked brow from Mitsuki.

"Yeah, maybe."

••••••

Boruto was a very talented individual, a gifted academy student with many smarts and talents. He was at the top of his class, and didn't struggle much at all academically!

However-

He was not meant to be a ninja tasked with spy missions, and it showed in the way he practically screeched out his whispers every time he witnessed something between Haruki and Mitsuki he didn't like.

"What could they possibly have in common?! I bet it's nothing special." Boruto grumbled through his binoculars, his head slowly turning to have his eyes follow Mitsuki and Haruki as they walked by.

God he wished his binoculars came with a hearing set, what on earth could Mitsuki be saying to create such a bright blush on Haruki's cheeks?!

Boruto had to know, it was eating him up inside to watch them get along so smoothly knowing he's never come near that level of familiarity with her.

"You're being ridiculous Boruto, Haruki has had a thing for you for years. She's like that with everybody though, even around me." Shikadai sighed, taking a bite out of his burger.

It was true, Haruki had a naturally flirty and sweet persona, it didn't matter who you were, making her blush and giggle was easy as hell. Well- that is except for Boruto.

Although he was the master of making her blush, that's as far as his luck with her ever went.

Boruto clearly wasn't listening to his Nara friend, using his binoculars to zero in on Haruki's face as she laughed at something Mitsuki said

....what could he say that's so funny?!

"What a drag" Shikadai groaned, taking a sip out of his soda and eyeing the pair from the building he's sitting on top of

"You know, when a guy stalks my sister, I make it a personal goal to show them a lesson. You're no different, Boruto." A voice suddenly claimed, effectively spooking both Boruto and Shikadai.

They whirled around in shock, seeing Runa, Chocho, and Sumire staring down at them. Runa had a real threatening look on her face, whereas Sumire looked nervous about a possible altercation.

Chocho however-

She joined in on the spying, much to Shikadai's dismay.

"Are they on a date?!" Chocho gasped, reaching down her bag of chips and munching on them before turning to her friends.

"No! Of course they aren't." Boruto haughtily denied, bringing his binoculars up to his eyes to make sure he hadn't missed anything before turning back to Runa. "I'm not stalking her! I'm....looking out for Mitsuki?"

Even he sounded like he didn't believe what he was saying.

"Why would you be looking out for Mitsuki? What could Haruki possibly do to him? Hug him a little too tightly?" Runa deadpanned, eyeing the way Boruto's gaze shifted nervously.

"No! He's new to town so it's only right that I look out for him while he's on his own."

The excuse sounded good enough in his head, but once he spoke out loud he realizes how goofy the whole thing was.

What trouble could anyone get into with Haruki around? He doesn't think she's ever even been grounded at home!

"Yeah sure." Runa snorted before shaking her head and walking over to him, snatching the binoculars out of his hands before bringing them up to her own face.

"Hey! Give that back I was using those!" He chided, reaching over to take the goggles out of her hands. To nobody's surprise, she childishly stuck out her tongue and held onto the goggles resulting in a mini spat between the childhood friends.

Sumire perked up at the scene, waving her hands around in a small panic as Boruto and Runa had literal electricity connecting their eyes.

"B-Boruto! Runa! Please stop fighting!" She ordered, her purple eyes darting back and forth between her two classmates.

Of course, they didn't listen.

Sumire turned to Shikadai and Chocho, noting how the two were strangely calm even though their own best friends looked like they were seconds away from killing each other. In fact, Shikadai even let out a sigh as if it weren't anything new!

Sumire had to admit....she was a bit appalled.

"Don't worry about it class rep, they normally get over it themselves," Chocho claimed before bringing a potato chip to her lips and sighing in content.

Sumire blinked dumbly at Chocho's pitiful attempt to assure her that everything would be alright, was she just supposed to stand back and wait until one of them severely injured the other?!

She glanced back at the pair, noting how Runa was literally on his back with her arms wrapped around his neck in a chokehold, and he was clawing at her arms for dear life.

What the fuck-

"You get used to it," Shikadai explained, taking a sip out of his soda before looking back down at where Haruki and Mitsuki were.

"Boruto just lemme see what's going on!" Runa scolded, shooing him away as his hands grabbed at her arms to try and pry the binoculars out of his hands.

"You can see with your own two eyes!" He snapped, snatching the binoculars right back and holding them to his chest protectively

She rolled her eyes before giving up on the binoculars, arching her brow at a sudden realization.

"Wait, so if you weren't the one stalking Haruki this morning-"

"She has an actual stalker?! Where is he?!" He asked, eyes widening at the news.

"No, he's been following me all day and it's been totally ruining my mojo! We need to catch him!" Chocho suddenly proclaimed dramatically, earning bizarre gazes from everyone in the group.

......It was safe to say that Boruto did not believe it was Chocho who earned an admirer dedicated enough to be considered a stalker.

"Well- yeah okay well Haruki detected a stalker this morning, and just now when we're walking over here we all felt the presence of a weirdo as well. I thought it was you guys, but if it isn't then that means there's an actual stalker on the loose." Runa revealed.

Just as Boruto was about to quite literally dive to her aid and fight off any creepy stalkers in her vicinity (Despite not knowing if they were even around), Shikadai came in clutch with some interesting developments.

"Uhh guys? Looks like Haruki's already found him." Shikadai sweatdropped, peaking over the rooftop to look down at Haruki and Mitsuki.

There stood Haruki standing across from a taller guy with long brown hair. She had a hesitant look on her face and Mitsuki was standing by her side, holding the presumed stalker up.

"Who's that?!" Runa gasped, not wasting a second in jumping down from the rooftop of the building and approaching the situation. The rest of the group followed in tow.

"Ruki are you okay?" Runa asked, rushing over to her with a frown. Haruki nodded slowly before sighing "He's the guy from this morning you told me I was paranoid about." She mumbled, clearly upset with Runa.

However, and upset Ruki didn't mean much, in fact, it's like tending to a sick puppy or kitten with no bites or scratches. Her entire demeanor leaves you feeling very guilty for ever making her feel that way in the first place...

Haruki is severely kind, too much for her own good, therefore even now the most upset expression she could muster makes her look like she's about to cry rather than scream.

Runa winced, realizing that she really had called Haruki paranoid this morning. "I'm sorry, you were right." She sighed, beating herself up for her choice of words.

Haruki is a sensitive individual with a damningly good memory, however, this small trait oftentimes conflicted with the fact that Haruki could never hold a grudge. Sometimes she even accepts apologies before they've ever been dished out!

Her forgiving nature is showcased when she lends her sister a small smile, shrugging her shoulders a bit. "It's okay Runa."

The girls are taken out of their little moment by the sound of Boruto's voice.

"So this is the guy Haruki mentioned earlier, and the guy Chocho thinks is stalking her," Boruto murmured with his hands on his hips, looking down at the boy Mitsuki had successfully restrained.

Mitsuki already let him go, having him sit on the floor as the classmates circled around him in confusion. "Yeah, that's for sure him." Runa frowned, glaring at the boy who seemed awfully nervous.

"I'm pretty sure he's Magire from the class next door. With so few handsome guys in the academy, I'd say he ranked more towards the top." Chocho informed, to which Haruki and Runa shared confused glances.

Haruki wasn't one to judge, and neither was Runa but...He was considered one of the more handsome boys?!

"I can't believe he's really following you!" Sumire exclaimed worriedly.

"Hey! Why would you do something like this? Are you really Cho-Cho's stalker?" Boruto asked through narrowed eyes. The stalker, Magire seemed nervous as he avoided Boruto's gaze, only adding to his look of guilt.

Boruto sighed at Magire's quietness. "Silence huh?"

"But seriously, following Cho-Cho? You really have strange taste." Shikadai claimed, earning a small nudge from Haruki. She narrowed her eyes at him (Granted, it was the angriest expression she could muster against her own childhood friend.) and shook her head.

"Cho-Cho is beautiful! It isn't strange taste!" She scolded, earning a sweatdrop from the Nara.

She literally hangs out with Inojin, who calls Cho-cho Chubs instead of her actual name, yet scolds Shikadai?! Favoritism at it's finest!

"No, you're wrong! The person I was watching is Haruki-hime!" Magire suddenly exclaimed, his first words since he's been caught. The group consecutively recoiled in shock as a result.

Well, they weren't shocked by his true affections being aimed at Haruki, in fact, they all saw it coming. They were more surprised by the way Magire practically yelled out the words before shyly looking away.

Haruki's eyes widened at the sudden confession, and she instinctively found herself stepping backward with pink cheeks, lightly hiding behind Shikadai as a result.

"In any case, you went a little too far." Shikadai sighed, opening his arm up already knowing Haruki was dying to shield herself from this mess. And to nobody's surprise, Haruki dropped her head on Shikadai's shoulder, not even attempting to look up.

She hated it when guys would confess to her because she knew she'd have to turn them down! And she always felt so bad doing so, knowing she was the reason someone's heart hurt would make her heart hurt in return!

Normally she'd hide using Inojin, but her buddy Shikadai proved to be the perfect replacement!

Boruto watched the pair with a small twitch in his eye before returning his deadpanned expression to Magire.

"B-but, what was I supposed to do? I just wanted to breathe the same air as Haruki-hime!" Magire exclaimed with a blush on his cheeks, twiddling with his fingers out of nerves.

Boruto's deadpan worsened as he stared at Magire, pitying the brunette across from him.

Magire clearly knew he was treading into awkward territory, "O-okay are we done here? I'll just be on my way-"

"Wait! We weren't done here!" Boruto exclaims, jumping to Magire and holding him back.

He wanted to make him pay-!

"This may be your chance. You might as well tell her how you feel right now." Chocho claimed, to which Haruki tensed up, not really liking the sound of that.

"W-what are you saying?!" Boruto asked in shock, a blush covering his face as well as he eyed the scene before him.

"If you tell her how you feel right now, then we'll forgive you for what you did! And maybe you'll luck out!" Chocho smiled.

Runa glanced between Haruki (Who was still clinging onto Shikadai for dear life) and Magire with hesitance. "I don't think it's a good-" But before she could even finish her statement, Haruki's fate was sealed.

Magire's been tempted with the idea that he had a chance, and there was absolutely zero backing out from it! Cho-Cho's right, this was his one shot!

Magire stored up all of the confidence he had in his body before stepping before Haruki. (Who refused to let go of Shikadai's hand, so technically he was standing in front of both of them.)

Boruto was freaking out on the side, and Runa was sending Cho-Cho looks of disapproval for instigating since she knew damn well this would end badly.

Cho-Cho merely resumed eating her chips, ready for the spectacle she was about to watch.

Magire took a deep breath before bowing and reaching out his hand. "Haruki-hime, I-I....I've liked you for the longest time! Please go out with me!" Magire exclaimed, to which the rest of the kids held their breaths in anticipation.

Haruki winced a bit before biting her inner cheek, clearly uncomfortable with rejecting him in front of the others. "T-thank you! That's very kind of you but umm-" She glanced over at Runa with worries written all over her face.

She really didn't want to do this!

Luckily for Haruki, she wouldn't have to. Instead of Magire's hand being taken by the white-haired Uchiha princess herself, his wrist was suddenly grabbed by a hand that was big and had a really powerful grip

What the?!-

Magire was trembling as he looked up at the man holding his wrist upright. He's tall, much taller than the rest of the kids at least. He had a strikingly impressive bone structure in his face and even more impressively colored bright red eyes.

He-

"Katsuro!" Haruki gasped happily, ripping her hand out of Shikadai's and wrapping her arms around her big brother's waist. "You're here!" She smiled in relief, knowing he'd probably fix whatever dilemma she found herself in. Including this one!

"Sorry kid, but she's not interested." He deadpanned, his deep voice resonating throughout the ally way causing his fangirls who had fallowed him to cheer him on and swoon.

Cho-Cho gasped, her eyes turning sparkly and wide at the sight of one of Konoha's most handsome boys of all time! Right in front of her! Eep! Total husband material!

Shikadai and Boruto's eyes widened at the sight of Katsuro, neither one of them had seen him in years due to how rarely he was ever in the village anymore, and to say that he's changed quite a bit would be an understatement.

he looked a little intimidating, to say the least.

Maybe it was the bulging muscles, maybe it was the dead look in his eyes, they couldn't tell.

Runa on the other hand, well she was more focused on the fact that an entire group of fangirls followed him over here to witness this-

"W-Who are you?! Oh-" Magire froze, recognizing Katsuro rather easily from how popular of a guy he was. Even though he wasn't regularly seen in the village, he was still big news, and many people could recognize his face despite never having even met him.

"K-Katsuro-sama! I'm so sorry!" Magire squeaked out in fear, bowing yet again much to Katsuro's dismay. The eldest Uchiha sighed, shaking his head a bit before looking down at Haruki.

"You okay?" He asked, placing a hand on her head to which she nodded excitedly. He completely ignored Magire's presence, instead, he turned to Runa and waved her over. "What is it?" Runa asked, blushing a bit out of embarrassment when he put his free hand on her head as well.

"Let's go eat something, it's lunchtime for you guys right?"

Haruki and Runa's eyes widened simultaneously, the incident with Magire long forgotten as they obediently nodded to their eldest brother's proposal. Yikes, way to rub salt in the wound for Magire, who was leaning against the wall with his head bowed in shame.

Runa and Haruki were both admittedly ecstatic with the idea of Katsuro taking them out to eat since he's never done it before and it'd mean quality time that they would've never expected him to give them!

At their eagerness, a small smirk tugged at Katsuro's lips. (Which made him look an awful lot like his father)

He decided that taking them out to eat would be a good move since his mom has been so stressed with Daisuke's presence at the hospital, she'd be overwhelmed with joy to hear that he was spending quality time with the girls on his own accord.

And he'd literally sell his soul to make sure his mom was happy, so lunch with his kid sisters? Easy!

Before the group of classmates even knew it, Katsuro was nodding at them in acknowledgment, clearly recognizing Boruto Shikadai and Chocho from all those years ago before walking off with his younger sisters by his side.

However, he couldn't help but send an arched brow Sumire's way, which had chills of fear crawling down her back. He knew something was up with her by one glance, and he wasn't even a sensory type!

"He's always been so cool!" Boruto exclaimed with a clenched fist, easily forgetting Magire as well as he admired Katsuro's aura and strength.

Shikadai nodded, sweat dropping at the sight of Haruki excitedly tugging at Katsuro's hand and Runa trying to distance herself from the two sheepishly.

"He's so dreamy! Totally going to marry him in the future." Cho-Cho sighed dreamily with sparkles all around her figure. She then turned to Magire and pointed at Katsuro's back.

"See him! You should be a little more like him! Maybe next time you won't be rejected!"

Sigh, poor Magire...

•••••••

Haruki's day went on smoothly after Katsuro took her and Runa out to eat. He also took them to the hospital to visit their mother who's been there by Daisuke's side ever since the ice cream shop incident days prior.

Haru was ecstatic at the sight of the three of them when they visited her at the hospital, and her mood only grew happier when they told her that they all went out together for lunch on their own accord.

Haruki swore she's never seen her mom smile so widely, but sadly, the happy moment was dampened a bit by Daisuke's weak coughs filtering in between the conversations.

Haruki gets chills thinking about it, remembering how he pouted, softly asking their mom if he could join them the next time they all went out to eat together. "Mama, can I go with Nii-san next time? I'll be good!"

His voice was so light and weak, it had Haruki nearly bursting into tears even now as the memory flooded through her system.

Whereas Haruki was immediately saddened by Daisuke's condition, Runa was angered. Not angry with Daisuke of course, but angry at the relationship her mom had with her dad. Her father should be here as well! Tending to Daisuke, helping Haru out, also bearing the brunt of his son's medical issues, it was all so messed up!

Katsuro was far more affectionate and loving to Daisuke than he was to either sister, and it showed in the way he immediately sat by the nine-year-olds side and ruffled his hair, promising him that he would stay in town extra long just so that they could go and eat out at a yummy place together.

It's been a week since that last moment, much to Haruki's dismay.

With her mother in the hospital staying by Daisuke's side, Runa sleeping in the room next door, Katsuro sleeping across the hall, and the house in total silent mode, Haruki found herself tossing and turning in her king-sized bed.

All of the pillows and plushies in the world couldn't help her at that moment. As if her little brother's medical issues weren't enough, there was a surge in chakra in the air that night, dark chakra which she recognized as Sumire's.

She had this one teddy bear she was particularly fond of, with fluffy white fur and a light blue bow on it that was a gift to her from her father from when she was a baby.

It was a little worn out and old, but she didn't care, attached to the toy because it's one of the only things she has left of her father from when he was home and because it magically helps her go to sleeps on restless nights like these.

However, it was to no avail, she just couldn't be rendered to sleep!

Whatever Sumire was up to had Haruki very concerned, and she knew she wouldn't be able to get a wink of sleep if this were to go on. Such a dark, overwhelming, and ominous aura, no wonder she's been feeling so freaked out!

Haruki dragged herself out of her covers, gently placing her favorite teddy bear on her pillows before practically diving into her walk-in closet and hauling on a pair of shorts and her usual light blue crop top.

There's something Haruki has known ever since she was a little girl, and this piece of valuable knowledge is what's gonna get her through tonight.

She doesn't know what to do? Go to uncle Naruto!

No, seriously, uncle Naruto somehow has all of the answers, so he's exactly who she's about to go and consult!

She dashed downstairs, treading lightly so that she wouldn't wake up Katsuro and Runa.

"Brat? Where do you think you're going?"

Haruki squeaked out in surprise, whirling around before she reached the door to meet Isamu's glowing red eyes.

"Isamu?! What are you doing here?" She asked, leaning over and patting his fur.

"I was with Haru at the hospital, but she had me come back here to check up on you guys. Your turn to talk." He ordered gruffly, looking up at his summoners daughter curiously.

Haruki sighed "I'm gonna go to talk to uncle Naruto, there's a chakra presence that's been bothering me."

"Oh? So you noticed it too? Haru's been so hung up over Daisuke I don't think she's even sensed it. Yeah, you should go talk to him." Isamu sighed.

Her eyebrows furrowed "is it really bad with Dai? Does mom need help?" Her heart pounded with worry.

It was probably Haruki's most toxic, self detrimental trait, her heart which oftentimes overpowered her head. Haruki was someone who'd willingly bear the brunt of everyone's issues if it meant that they'd be happy, and she'd oftentimes forget her own wellbeing in the process.

Haruki was in no condition to go and help her mother with all of Daisuke's needs like she wanted to so desperately do, but she paid no mind to that tiny little fact. She'd go and help in a heartbeat if her mom even showed the smallest signs of wanting help.

Isamu sighed, shaking his head at Haruki. "Your mom doesn't want you worrying over this, and you shouldn't. Everything's fine, go talk to Naruto and I'll let Haru know."

Haruki nodded hesitantly before placing her hand on the doorknob. "Are you sure my mom doesn't need my help with anything?"

"Brat you're killing me here, Just go!"

•••

"Uncle Naru!! I have to tell you something!" Haruki suddenly bursts into the hokage's office with anxiety written all over her face. Kakashi, Shikamaru, and Naruto all turn to the little girl with widened eyes.

"Haruki? What is it?" Naruto asks in bewilderment, to which Haruki rushes into the room with her hands covering her face out of shame, she was beating herself up over the fact that she hadn't confided in Naruto sooner.

"Please believe me! I know who the person behind all of those attacks at the academy is!" She exclaimed, looking up from her hands to look at her three uncles.

"I've tried to tell my sister but she didn't believe me! And my mom is so busy with Daisuke I couldn't tell her! It's Sumire! I've felt off about her ever since I met her, her chakras so scary and it's driving me mad!" Haruki exclaimed.

"I don't mean to bother but her chakra is extra crazy today!"

Kakashi smiled and put a hand on her head to ease her worries "Haruki, your sensory skills are already so advanced! I'm proud of you." He claimed, to which she perked up the slightest bit.

"You believe me?!"

"We do." Naruto smiled, leaning back in his seat and sighing a bit at the task at hand. "Thank you for your help Haruki, looks like you were ahead of us this entire time." Naruto chuckled, to which her cheeks flushed in slight embarrassment.

"I would've told you earlier, but nobody believed me so far! And her chakra isn't even letting me sleep! It's reached a point I can't stand anymore, she's all the way in Senju park and I could feel her from here!" Haruki exclaimed, to which the three men silently shared glances

"She's in Senju park?"

A sudden and distant 'boom' caught the attention of everyone in the office. Haruki gasped, her senses going haywire at the surge of chakra that's just been released into the air.

Before even Kakashi could stop her, she was running off and out the door like a woman on a mission.

"Wait- Haruki!"

•At the sight of Nue•

"Sensei, Shika, Naruto? What's going on? I was in the hospital with Dai when I heard this and the chakra could be felt from all the way over there!" Haru exclaimed, walking over to the trio with furrowed eyebrows.

She hadn't changed into her ninja wear, still donning her pair of casual high heels and a sundress that flows with the wind.

Looking up at the giant monster, Nue that had suddenly appeared in the Senju park, Haru made a face of disgust. "Ew what is this thing?! Did you give Orochimaru too much freedom or something and he got bored?" Haru deadpanned, turning to Naruto

He sweatdropped, shaking his head "I almost wish that was the case."

"Haru, it looks like Danzo's come to bother us even in death." Kakashi sighed, eyeing the beast before turning to his old student.

"Don't tell me, he's been re-animated?! C'mon sensei let me at him! Sasuke was selfish as hell for killing him without me." Looking to Kakashi for permission as if the seventh hokage wasn't right next to her.

"No he wasn't re-animated, but that's one of his old plans brought to life right there." Shikamaru sighed, gesturing towards the beast.

"Oh ew...." Haru deadpanned, eyeing 'Nue' with a certain level of disdain.

"Where's Katsuro?" Naruto asked, looking around for any sign of the young Uchiha boy.

"In bed and asleep, and you aren't waking him up because of this thing." Haru warned, raising a finger to Naruto's face threateningly.

Seventh hokage or not, nobody was messing with her baby's sleep schedule.

Naruto smiled sheepishly "hehe no of course not!"

He was totally going to wake him up for this, but one look from Haru had him completely dropping that little plan.

"Alright, looks like I gotta go out of retirement for this shit." Haru sighed, cracking her knuckles a bit before walking towards the beast nonchalantly.

"Mokuton!" Haru announced, slamming her hand on the ground. Giant bars of wood portended from the ground within the barrier and wrapped themselves around the beast.

"Hmm.....that was a little too easy." She sweat dropped, eyeing the beast being thoroughly restrained by her wood style and through the work of the barriers other ninja have created.

"....I agree, but good work!" Kakashi smiled, ruffling Haru's long white hair. She laughed a bit, shrugging her shoulders. "Sure It's been seven years but I still got it in me!"

As the other ninja worked to create new barriers, supporting her wood style jutsu and barricading this ugly beast so that it wouldn't find it's way into the village, Shikamaru approached his old friend.

"Haru, you should know this, Haruki ran off earlier. I think she might be looking for the child responsible for this." Shikamaru stated in concern, noting how she arched a brow

"Seriously?! Haruki ran off?!"She gasped, turning to the Nara in shock.

He nodded much to her surprise, it was so unlike Haruki to do that though!

Shikamaru had his concerns over Haruki going to look for Sumire herself.

On one note, he's always seen Haruki as his adorably sweet and sensitive niece who once cried to him when she was only four years old over how she accidentally knocked over a shogi piece and claimed she 'hurt it!'

.....Yeah it was safe to say that Shikamaru had a pretty set view on Haruki's character from that point on.

He was just worried, would she really be able to fight Sumire if they met up?

Haru smirked, placing a hand on Shikamaru's shoulder.

"Don't worry Shika, my Haruki could handle herself very well. I taught her everything she knows!"
