It the 31st of December of the year 2220 before the events of the story. All Earth Space Defense ships are gathering in various main bases to celebrate new year after the world was ravaged by a deadly pandemic "Little more on that later" with most of the ships have been returning to regular duty and many are celebrating to a better year.
At B.A.N.B official name HMNB Galaxy home base of the European Galactic Fleet it was about 9:34 PM everyone was hanging about. FS Jean Bart Battleship of the Forces navales galactiques françaises along with her fellow French ships were enjoying themselves. She was walking around seeing the Scot ships getting drunk as hell she ran into HMS King George V.
King George V: Champagne...?

King George V: So how is your evening Jean Bart?

As the two men were talking King George V was approached by supercarrier HMS Baron.

Back in Europe as the fireworks go off her majesty Queen Elizabeth and King George V was giving a New Years speech.
Queen Elizabeth: Ladies & gentlemen, New Year, is another chance for us to get it right, and we are just a few hours away from that fresh chance. Things don't always go the way we want but don't get disheartened, stand up and march ahead.
A New Year brings fresh opportunities to start over, ride on it and make resolutions to achieve all the dreams you and your family/friends/loved ones saw and bring great future for humanity.
In this speech on a new year, allow me to welcome all you guys for the '2221 New Year Party. Everyone has arranged this fantastic carnival to welcome this New Year, and I pray to God that this year will bring all the happiness in your life. So, let all be excited about this event and celebration.
