Like the land with unflouried soil, pretentious and shallow, getting used to the waves of chaos from the seasonal river.

This is a short-story of 9k words, written in- third person limited omniscient narration. So, the whole story is entirely centered around our main character named, Iresh (18).
This is not a historical fiction, but the plot is set around the 70s. It is a work of fiction and any resemblance to actually people or incidents is purely coincidental.
Story is inspired by the song- "Like Real People Do" by Hozier.
