Happy Reading:)

"LYDIA ISABELLA TONELLI! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!" Marcus called from downstairs.

"I'M COMING!" I yelled back, I could play the yelling game too. I put on my Nike free runs and bounded down the stairs. It was Thursday night, time to go work at the restaurant.

"Lydia you can't be late like this," Marcus seethed, ready to strangle me.

"Sorry," I said, but didn't mean it. I took my sweet time to punish Marcus because he was treating me like a prisoner.

As predicted I was being watched like a hawk, at school and after.

I was also pissed because Damon and I hardly had any time to talk, I didn't want to text, for obvious reasons, but at school we barely saw each other. First period I couldn't even look at him because of Melvin breathing down my neck.

The only time he could say a word to me was when I was waiting for Marcus and Melvin to get out of futbol, or soccer, practice.

Even then it was a quick wink smile or "What's up", my brothers could pop up at anytime and that was not something I could risk.

It was hard, it had been a week since the McDonald's incident and I was still wound up. I needed more Damon and I could tell by the longing looks he was giving me he felt the same.

What pissed me off most was the fact that Marcus for once was actually coming in to work. not because he was being responsible, but because he didn't want me to take a "detour" his words, not mine.

As if I would risk getting caught with Damon during work but Marcus' imagination runs wild with possibility.

"Car," He growled.

I rolled my eyes at him and walked to the car as slow as I could, annoyed he came up behind me and dragged me to the car by my pony tail. I clawed at him but it was no use. I huffed as I got to the passengers seat.

"Are you gonna act like a caveman all day?" I snapped, retying my hair. He didn't use much force but my hair got messed up anyway.

"Are you going to have an attitude all day?" He retorted and I held my tongue, cussing him out would get me no where.

I grudgingly opened the car door and sat, buckling my seat belt and staring out the window. He put his key in the ignition and sped off, blasting loud music that made my ears bleed.

"Can you turn it down?" I asked.

"Lydia what is your problem? Why are you bitching?" He turned down the radio so I knew he was serious.

"I just asked you to turn down the music a little," I mumbled not answering his question.

"You know that's not what I meant," He said.

"Well it's what I meant," The venom drenching my voice was obvious, he was shocked that I was talking to him like this.

"Are you on your period or what?"

"Don't you dare blame my emotions to my period I swear to god I will tuck and roll out of this car right now!" I was fuming, how dare he reduce my feelings to my biology, "It's fucked up you know that right, to tell me I'm not feeling what I'm feeling, that it's just my uterus talking. I'm a human who has the right to express herself and my anger is just as real as any guy's!" I was getting heated and I felt the angry tears welling up.

I hated that my anger and tears were directly connected. The moisture in my eyes did not fall but it was obvious I was mad.

Every little thing he did was setting me off and I didn't know why. I assumed it was the fact that I had Damon within reach yet still far from my grasp.

"I'm sorry Lyd, I know," He said trying to calm me by rubbing circles into my hand. For once he was trying to calm me not fuel my fire.

"Don't," I pulled my hand away and he sighed. Nothing he could or would do could undo the time bomb that was my emotions.

"It's the Damon thing isn't it?" He said after a while of thinking, it took a while but they usually got to the problem.

"Ya think?" I said, sarcasm dripping from my words. He was proud of himself for figuring it out but it didn't take a genius to figure out I was pissed at him.

"I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but you have to understand that was not cool what you did with Damon," He said trying to sound level headed.

"There you go again trying to sound like Felix," I said shaking my head.

"Lydia," He sighed in frustration when we came to a stop in front of the restaurant.

"Marcus," I said, not moving a muscle. If he had something to say I wanted to hear it now.

"Stop fighting me on these things, I know you're mad but you'll get over it," I was about to argue but he interrupted, "Now get in there and give the customers a smile."

"You're not coming?" I asked outraged.

"No, I got a date with Lace,"

"Fuck you," I muttered under my breath as I got out of the car.

"What did you just say?"

"Love you," I yelled and ran to the restaurant before Marcus ran me over with his car.

*After Work*

After work I was dead tired, because Marcus prioritized his girlfriend I had to pick up all his tables.

I was physically and mentally exhausted, at one point I even gave a customer a hundred dollar bill instead of a ten.

Like a good citizen he fixed my mistake, if he hadn't my dad would murder me.

Thankfully my mom hired a bunch of people to work in our place while they were in Italy so we didn't have to worry about handling the restaurant by ourselves.

I went upstairs and took a shower. I was even more drowsy after the shower than before. I walked downstairs and made myself a cup of tea.

"Where's Ma and Dad?" Greg asked, he was getting ready to go to his night classes.

"Closing up, I drove home," I said and closed my eyes, leaning on the counter for support. Not my best idea to say the least, I had to blast Tupac to keep myself awake.

"What's wrong?" He said coming up to me.

"I'm so tired," I whined and hugged him, he chuckled.

"Has Marcus not been coming in to work?" He asked.

"Not today," I groaned.

"Okay, I need to talk to him," Greg said shaking his head.

I made my tea and sat on the couch, Greg kissed my cheek and sat next to me, we usually hung out a little before he had to go.

I tried to keep my eyes open but I couldn't.

"I'm gonna kill Marcus," Greg growled.

"Speak of the devil," Marcus walked in giddily, he was whistling but I really didn't want the images of why he was so happy.

"Marcus vieni qua," Greg sternly called Marcus to us. I was too tired to sit up so I layed down.

"Che cosa?" Marcus asked what.

"You know what, you can't just leave Lydia alone at the restaurant," He was furious.

"She wasn't, Melvin was there,"

"No he wasn't he was home with me. Marcus why do we have this problem with you, you need to take responsibility for yourself." Greg was on a roll.

"I was with my girlfriend," Marcus huffed, unable to say anything else.

"Yeah well you need to think about family and your priorities over your girlfriend. I don't think you can handle both and you and I know which is more important."

"I'm not Lydia you asshole, you don't decide who I see in my spare time," Marcus was defensive.

"Watch your mouth! First of all don't bring Lydia into this, she just came home barely able to open her eyes, she drove here which is even more dangerous. Your stupidity put her in danger, god forbid something happened to her,"

"But-"

"Second of all don't give me that bullshit, I don't control who you see but Felix sure as hell can. Who's gonna be the one to tell him his baby sister just drove home half asleep. Grazzi a Dio she came home in one piece."Greg finally finished and Marcus was dumbstruck. He didn't know what to say.

They never had serious discussions in front of me, apparently I was too sensitive. That was bullshit and they knew it but I didn't mind, if they wanted to have boy time it was fine by me.

"I'm taking Lydia up to bed, think about what I said Marcus," I was sleeping? Oh yeah I was. In a dream like haze I had heard everything they said but they obviously thought I was deeply asleep.

Well I might as well play the part, goodnight.

Kind of a filler but I'll update soon <3
