Korra P.O.V

"Hi Asami!" I greeted as i saw her, she smiled "hey Korra" said Asami waving at me, Asami and I live in the southern water tribe together, and we have been best friends ever since. "Hey Asami! Check this out!" As i bend the water, earth, and fire, "woah how can you do that?" Asked Asami

"I don't know yesterday i just bend it, then i learn how" i replied, i smiled "KORRA!!" i turned around and saw my mom calling for me, i went to her "yes mom?" I asked "go home now sweetie someone wants to see you" said my mom smiling.

"Really who?" I asked curious, she chuckled  "you'll find out when we get there"  "aww i wanna knowww" i pouted "be patient sweetie" she chuckled "fineee" i pout, i turned around and saw Asami looking at me sadly? Huh? I wonder why.

"I'll be right back mom! I just gonna talk to Asami!" I yelled as i went back to her "hey what's wrong?" I asked her concerned "don't worry i'm fine, who are the people who wanted to see you?" She questioned "i had no idea, Mom told me i'll found out when i get there" i replied.

I stopped talking as i hear someone or something coming. Naga my polar bear dog. "NAGA!" As she licks my face i giggled  "what is that?" Asked Asami "this is Naga my polar bear dog" i told her "she is so cute" she said looking at naga petting her head. I chuckled "Bye Asami, i have to go see ya!" As i was about to leave "Korra wait!" I turned around

"Hmm?" I said looking confused, she suddenly hugged me, i may or may not have a little crush on Asami. My cheeks suddenly turned red. "Be careful" she whispers "i-i will! Bye!" As i ran out of the door.

As i went to my house i suddenly saw some people with cloaks going in our house. I was confused who they were

Maybe they were the people mom was talking about? I thought, i listened behind the door and heard "what makes you so sure that your daughter is the one?"  Asked a man with a cloak "Korra, please come in here" told my mom "yes?" I asked her "can you show us the bending you learned?"  She said "oh okay mom" as i started to bend

They all looked at me shocked, i was confused why? "It is an honor to serve you, Avatar Korra" as they all bowed, Avatar? That word went through my head, what does it mean? "Dad what is the Avatar?" I asked him confused "the Avatar is the person who kept balance between the water tribe, earth kingdom, fire nation, and air nomads, the Avatar's duty is to bring peace to the world."

And it seems that will be your duty for now" said my dad smiling at me " but i don't know how to do that kind of stuff" i said worried

"all people have doubts, but we must embraced our roles, it is part of what we bring" replied Tonraq "like you being a chief?" I asked He nodded "yes like me as the chief of the Southern water tribe, you will understand someday, when you experienced leadership" he said smiling at me as he walk away.

Asami P.O.V

Me and my dad were having lunch, but i always zoned out, "honey? Are you alright?" Asked my dad, "don't worry dad, I'm fine" i smiled reassuringly

my father is Hiroshi sato, he told me that benders killed my mother, he was still sad about it, i am too, but i know i have to be strong.

I suddenly heard a knock on the door
"I'll get it!" I said as i opened the door, there i saw korra, i was smiling because i finally got to see her, "hey Asami" she said smiling "hi Korra come in" i gestured her to go inside "Thanks Sami, by the way can i talk to you private?" She said fiddling with her hands  "yeah sure" as we went to my room

Korra P.O.V

"So... yeah you know the people who wanted to see me?" I said a little nervous

"oh yeah who were they?" She asked me "well they were called the white lotus, and they called me the Avatar, i don't know what that means, but my dad told me that the

Avatar is the one who kept the world safe and balance the world all that kind of stuff, and the Avatar was me"

Asami looked at me shocked "your the Avatar?!" She said shocked, i just nodded "but don't Avatar's have to go to dangerous missions to save the world?" She said worried "well..... yeah" i said nervous "what if you get hurt?! , or, or killed?!, i won't have a best friend anymore" she said tearing up a little

"don't worry you won't lose me, i'll always be there right by your side forever!!" I said cheerfully "promise?"  Asked Asami "promise" i replied, she hugged me " i'm so happy i have a best friend like you" she murmured "i'm so happy i met you too"

Asami P.O.V

We hugged for a while, but she suddenly broke the hug, " well i gotta go... hehe see you later Sami" she said a little nervous" i giggled "yeah see ya" i waved goodbye, as she went through the door to leave.

I sigh and  lay down on my bed and sleep,

3 years later Korra is now 12 and
Asami is 13

Korra P.O.V

"What!? But.. I can't leave now, what about Asami" i told my parents, they said i was going to Republic City to master Airbending "Korra.... you must go to republic city to learn Airbending with Tenzin" my father said, i sigh "okay..... i'll just have to write a note to Asami" i said going to my room

I saw Naga looking at me wagging her tail, I flopped down to my bed, "ughh Naga what do i do? Asami is my best friend i can't just leave her" i said sighing into my pillow, Naga looked at me her head tilted to the side,

I have to go to her house to talk to her about this personally, i thought, i grabbed my jacket and went outside to go to her house.

I went to her door and knock, *knock* *knock*  "coming!" I smiled at the voice "oh hi Korra" she greeted smiling "h-hey A-asami can we talk?" I stuttered nervously "yeah sure come in" i sigh and went inside their house.

"So what's on your mind?" Asami asked "well....... i don't know if i can tell you this" i mumbled "what is it?" She asked curiously "the truth is....... I'm leaving......"

Asami P.O.V

"The truth is......I'm leaving......"

I was shocked tears started to form  on my eyes, i was so sad that my best friend, my listener, my crush is leaving me.

"B-but why?" I asked while tearing up

"Mom and dad told me i have to go to Republic City to master airbending, I'm sorry Asami" she said sadly

"Please don't leave me Korra, please" i begged but the answer was the same
"Asami as much as i love to stay but i have to master airbending, but don't worry we will see each other again" she said wiping my tears with her thumb,

I leaned into her touch, i sigh "please do be careful Korra" i said holding both of her hands, as i hugged her

" I will"

Korra P.O.V

"I will"

We broke the hug and stare at each others eyes, my ocean blue eyes staring at the green emerald eyes, I was the first to broke the stare by looking away blushing,

"I gotta go now pack.....hehe" i said awkwardly, she nodded "yeah maybe you should" she giggled "so yeah... bye now" i said walking away, but i was pulled back when a kiss was planted on my cheek, i was blushing very hard that time,

"I'm gonna miss you" she said

I'll miss you too" i replied

We both smiled as i left her house.

I hope we see each other again soon
