BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!!, was the sound of my alarm clock. It was already 6:00 a.m.. I went to sleep at about 3:15 a.m., just because I was listening to Marcia's story. That shit was crazy, but I'm glad that I got my best friend back. It takes a great load off of me to know that my best friend is safe.
Marcia spent the night at my house last night. That fucked up nigga Estaban threw away Marcia's house key and all of her belongings when he met her, only to keep her from her family and associates. I could only imagine what Marcia had to go through as to being a prostitute. But right now, that doesn't matter. It's time to get ready for school. I got up out of bed and made my way downstairs.
"Marci-", I began, but later stopped in my tracks.
I come to find Marcia knocked out on the couch with the TV on. She must have fell asleep watching cartoons last night. I observed her as she slept. I didn't wanna wake her, because she looked so peaceful. She probably hasn't had any good sleep in a while. Poor thing, I assumed she'd wouldn't want to go to school today. She needs the rest, and its so all of a sudden for her to start school back all at once.
I just left her there to rest while I went back upstairs to get ready. I walked in my room and cut my ceiling light on. I went to my closet to find an outfit for the day. I shuffled through the many options I had for about 5 minutes until I found the perfect outfit. Today's badass outfit consisted of: my gray PINK sweatshirt, black leggings, and my pink UGG boots. It was pretty simple and laid back today, but I can still rock it thoo.
I set the outfit on my bed and got ready to take my shower. As usual, I put the music on my phone on shuffle. The music starts blasting while I take my shower. When I'm done, I get out and get dressed. I grab all my belongings I need for the day, pack my work uniform and needs in a duffle bag, cut the light out, and head on downstairs.
I get downstairs and sit everything down so I can make me a bowl of cereal. My favorite cereal is, 'Cinnamon Toast Crunch'. That cereal is completely bomb!! I know it gets my day started off right. As I rummaged through the kitchen, my phone vibrated. I grabbed it from off the kitchen counter and unlocked it. After I unlocked it, I discovered that I got a text message from Jay.
Jay- Good Mornin beautiful!! Have a good day. See ya lata...
I simply smiled. Jay always sends me good morning texts. When he does, it reminds me that what we have is something special. I tapped on the reply box and began to type a message.
Me- Good morning babe! Thnx 4 errthang , hope you have a good day. See ya ..
"Well, what the hell you smiling like that for this early in the morning?", asked Marcia with a smirk on her face as she walked from the living room towards the kitchen.
I chuckled as she caught me off guard, "Girl, I thought you was sleep."
"I was. Until yo ass decided to go make noise in the kitchen. It's all good thoo, I'm fine.", she shrugged off as she sat down at the kitchen island. "But, girl...??", she began as she stared at me with a concerned but interested look on her face.
"Ok!! Girl, I just got a good morning text from Jay. That's all , nothing major.", I retorted.
"Well, that smile was giving me the impression that it's something more than major hunn. And who is this Jay nigga?", she asked.
"....uhh well", I began.
"Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, hole the hell up!! I know you ain't talking about lil nigga last night. Girllll , lemme find out yo ass booed up with some light bright.", she said.
"And what's wrong with that?", I said as I laughed.
"A light skin girl and a light skin nigga together just ain't right."
