Barb took her jacket off and put it around her waist. It felt she had been walking forever. She didn't mind. Trollex, Branch, and Poppy were constantly on her mind
After hours of walking Barb finally got to Volcano Rock City and saw Riff with Carol and Val almost as if they were waiting for her
"Dudes? What are you-"
"There's no time! Look you have to go." Riff said
"What? Yeah I'm not going anywhere." Barb said
"Barb! You have to go!! You honestly have no choice." Val said
"Actually I technically do, so I'm gonna go feed Debbie and then go to sleep." Barb said, walking off
Carol grabbed Barbs arm stopping her
"If you want to die go ahead. You- I don't know how to say this, but you're not the queen anymore Barb." Carol said
"What? Yes I am!" Barb said
"No your not. Someone found out about your stuff with Trollex, Branch, and Pop-Squeak then told everyone. Now they want to get rid of you. They've already burned most of your stuff." Val said
"WHAT?!! WELL THEN WHO FOUND OUT?!!" Barb asked
"Ripple. Ripple found out." Riff said
Barb looked at them. Honestly hoping that it was all just a big joke
"He even took over the throne." Riff said
Barb was still trying process what she was hearing till she remembered her dad and Debbie
"What about dad and Debbie?! Where are they?" Barb asked them
"Debbie's ok. She's in her cage." Val said, handing Debbie over to Barb
"Well what about dad?" Barb asked
The three looked at each other unsure how to answer. It made Barb more scared then she already was
"Guys. Where's dad?" Barb asked again
The three looked at each other again and sighed
"He's...not in a really good place right now." Riff said
"Well we have to go get him." Barb said
"No Barb!" Riff and Val said
"It'll be on sight if they see you. You have to go." Carol said
"We'll get him. We already got your stuff, well the stuff we could get. It's all a backpack." Riff said
"Yeah, we even snuck you a beetle bike. Your backpack is already on it." Val said
Barb tried her best to hold back her tears and hugged her friends
"Thanks dudes." Barb said
"Wherever you go..just watch yourself." Carol said
"No promises!" Barb said
Barb got on the beetle bike. She held Debbie beside her and looked at her friends. Riff, Val, and Carol waved her bye as Barb and Debbie left
Riff looked at Val and Carol
"You think she'll be ok on her own?" Riff asked
"She'll be fine." Carol said
"Yeah, besides she's away from here. She's safe now." Val said
Riff sighed and managed a smile. The three heard something and turned around
"Oh you've gotta be kidding me." Val said
Ripple stepped on some Rock Trolls like stairs and looked at the three
"Soooo I've noticed that you had a little chat with the ex-queen." Ripple said
"First off it's not ex-queen. You stole the throne!! And second how did you know?" Val asked
"I have ears." Ripple said
They heard a rock shift and saw a Rock Troll come from behind it and stood beside Ripple
"Surely you three remember my new policy." Ripple said, dropping his head looking at them with puppy eyes
Val, Riff, and Carol just stared at him
"If you want to help her, then you can suffer. Just like her dad." Ripple said
They looked at him in shock
"What did you do to him?" Riff asked
"Oh that's not your concern. You'll be joining his side real soon." Ripple said, flicking Riff's nose
Riff back up to Val and Carols side. Ripple smiled and snapped his fingers
Three Rock Trolls grabbed Riff, Val, and Carol from behind. Ripple went up to Riffs face
"You should've thought twice before helping her." Ripple said
"WE DID THINK TWICE!!" Val yelled
Ripple looked at Val and let out a slight chuckle
"That was your mistake. Take them away." Ripple said
The Rock Trolls took Riff, Val, and Carol away. They didn't care what would happen to them. They're main concern was Barb
