"Yes. I wanted to go see a movie with you."
"That sounds like fun. I'm sure I still have time to watch a movie with you."
"Sweet. There's something I really want to see, but I don't want to go to the Theatre by myself."
"Well don't you have anyone else to go with?" Hannah and I paused our conversation as we both ate a handful of Cheetos. This time, I let Chip lick my cheesy fingers. He really enjoyed it.
"No."
"I need to get you some more friends." I said, and Hannah smiled. "What times does the movie start?" Hannah looked down at her watch.
"In about 40 minutes." I then looked at my phone to see what the time was at that moment. 9:25.
"Then lets go." I didn't think of asking what movie we were going to watch, but since Hannah and I and so many likes, I was assured that it wouldn't be something I wouldn't like.
After Chip licked the last bit of cheese off my fingers,I put him down onto the ground and stepped off the stool. Hannah was already at the front door getting her shoes and coat on. I then got my shoes and coat on. Before we opened the door, I picked up Chip's leash and stuffed it inside of my coat pocket.
Outside was still cold and my arms were already getting goosebumps. Hannah had a light jacket on so she was shivering, even though we've only been outside for a few seconds.
"Don't you have a warmer jacket?" I asked. She shook her head. I smiled and waved my hand toward the direction of the sidewalk, indicating that I wanted Hannah to follow me down the pathway. She did.
Both of us continued to chat and laugh as we walked toward the theatre, but before we made it there, we stopped at my home to drop off Chip since we didn't want him waiting outside as we watched the movie.
The outside of my house was smaller than Hannah's and it's also a different color; A light tan with a green trim. The door was white and on top of a porch painted white as well. There are two floors in the house and a large backyard. Hannah and I, along with Chip, walked through the door which was still unlocked. Inside it was warm, especially compared to outside.
"This feels better." Hannah said, and she took in the heat. Chip ran into the house and came back with his small, squishy, toy ball that he loved to play with. I should've brought it with me during the walk so he could play fetch for awhile. "Aww... he wants to play." Hannah commented. Chip dropped it by my feet and I picked it up as Hannah closed the door.
"Chloe!" I yelled. Instead of my little sister entering the room, my mom did.
"Hey Hannah." My friend said hello back and took off her shoes. I did the same, but I took off my coat while Hannah kept hers on.
"You're back from the walk?" My mom then asked. After we all gathered in the living room, I answered with,
"Yes, but Hannah and I want to go and see a movie. That alright." My mom sat down on the dark brown couch that was super squishy. I sat on a sofa that was the same color, but instead of seating one person like the one my mom was sitting on, mine could sit 3. I sat in the middle of the chair and Hannah sat next to me.
Chip walked into the room with his ball in his mouth. He still wanted to play fetch. Hannah, who loves my dog as much as I do, took the ball and tossed it across the room. Chip went running after it. Mom didn't mind because there wasn't really anything to break in that room other than a lamp or a book shelf.
"So is it alright that we go the the theatre?" I asked. Chip brought the ball back to Hannah and begged her to throw it again.
"I don't see why not, as long as you come home in time to leave for the train." Mom replied.
