Fluff

•[ Prompt ]•

Ghostbur tells Tommy about the memories of an old lover he had.

•[ Warnings ]•

He mentions sex I guess??

•[ A/N ]•

I've seemed to have overestimated how clearly Ghostbur can see his memories.

Also, the amount of times "Alivebur" is said is most likely gonna be annoying. I had some trouble with choosing to make Ghostbur refer to Wilbur's memories as "my" or "Alivebur's" It might be confusing, sorry.

"Remind me what you can remember, will you?" The pale ghost swapped his attention from the patch of common dandelions to his younger brother, who was the first to speak in a couple of minutes. The two had been sitting beside each other on the grass for only a few minutes now. It had been only a couple of days after Tommy's exile and Ghostbur noticed his younger brother was obviously stressed. He thoughtfully suggested to just lay on the grass and simply talk. Even though it wasn't much, he couldn't think of anything else that was able to both calm Tommy and didn't involve them going into town.

"Well," the deceased's raspy voice began. "I'll try to focus on the nice memories, first of all. I remember moments of Alivebur's childhood, like sparring with Techno and making fun of you." He let out a weak chuckle. Tommy inaudibly grumbled at this but chose to stay silent. "I remember Fundy as a child and faint, short moments of him as an adult. Umm..." He paused, gently shutting his colorless dim eyes as he tried to travel through the small amount of memories he had left. "I remember Phil protecting Alivebur as a child." "And him killing me, of course..." He mumbled, acknowledging how sensitive the topic can be.

The two sat there in silence, Ghostbur still trying his best to remember anything while Tommy waits for more information. "I remember..." The ghost begins again. "A man. He had horns." Tommy immediately knew who he was talking about, groaning in annoyance. "Oh yeah, that son of a bi–" "He wore umm..." Tommy was cut off by the ghost, who seemed to be trailing off into more memories as they came back to him. Tommy, for once, shut himself up. He figured he shouldn't interrupt the other, it's important for Ghostbur to gain his memories back. Or at least try to.

"Blue!" The ghost happily said, a smile appearing on his face over the fact that he got a new memory. "Blue?" Tommy asked, perking up over this simple detail. "Not a suit? Is he thinking of another guy?" Tommy thought, very confused.

"Yes, blue. He wore a lovely blue shaded jumper, similar to the one I'm wearing right now." The ghost and his brother looked down at the slightly dim yellow jumper, it stood out from everything else in his outfit. Makes it easier to spot him from afar.

"He was beautiful." The ghost fumbled with his thumbs, calmly staring down at his cold hands as they laid on his lap. He softly smiled as he thought of his fond memories. "What the fuck? Okay, he's definitely not thinking about Schlatt then. He can't be!" The tone of confusion rose in Tommy's rather loud thoughts. Realizing his thoughts started to show, Tommy shook off the "what the absolute fuck" look from his face.

"What was his name?" Tommy asked, much calmer than his current thoughts. Ghostbur leaned back until his back softly stretched out against the somewhat prickly grass below them. In what could only be considered a lovesick tone, he sighed out, "Jonathan"

The blonde breathed out a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank god," Tommy thought, "If he ended up talking about Schlatt I'd fuckin'– I don't know, throw myself into lava?" The younger laid down beside the spirit of his brother. "Alivebur never talked about this guy, like– ever, really." Tommy stated, trying to make himself at least a bit more comfortable on the hard ground. "Really? That's odd because, from the amount of memories I have of him, it seems that he made Alivebur very happy." The ghost replied, staring off into the blue sky above.

They sat in a calm silence once again. "Well, I'd like to hear about this fellow." Tommy confidently said, turning to the other with a wide smile. The play grey male smiled back in response, "Sure!"

"Alivebur would sing to Johnathan often. Along with the singing, he would practice his guitar skills to him too. His music calmed Johnathan. He made Alivebur laugh a lot. He was very flirtatious too, which made Alivebur weak to his knees and he felt like he was melting." Ghostbur chuckled lightly.

"Oh! Speaking of flirting, lots of sex! He–" Tommy's eyes widened as he choked on the air. His face burned as he swiftly interrupted the ghost, "WOAH! Ghostbur, calm down! I don't– I can't uh– Wha–" Coughing through his words and laughing shrilly. He rambled so fast until his words came out as gibberish. The ghost laughed as he watched his brother panic.

"No, but..." Ghostbur proceeded after everything calmed down again. "Alivebur felt almost like it was them against the world, as cliche as it sounds. No matter how many challenges they faced, they stayed together. I wish I knew what split them up in the end." He spoke sadly and quietly.

"Alivebur was so in love with him." He sighed, feeling the breeze that ran by. Another calm silence was shared between the two. The sky was clear, not a cloud in sight, and tinted with a nice light blue shade. The bright green grass was prickly, but not enough to bother either of them. Sounds of birds singing happily in the distant trees and swaying leaves. A calming light wind drifted by in random patterns, slightly shifting the strands of their hair.

The two laid, one peacefully basking in his memories. While the other wondered of this man the ghost spoke of. "How the hell did Wilbur never once bring him up? Johnathan seems like a nice fellow. If I'd known about him sooner, I would've expected Wil to run his mouth about him non-stop. I wonder what split them up. If Wilbur cared this much about the fellow then why wasn't he bawling his eyes out when they separated?"

Tommy glanced over at his brother, who was gazing at the sky absentmindedly while lost in his thoughts. Tommy mimicked the ghost beside him, looking up at the shades of blue.

"You were right, this did calm me. Thanks, Ghostbur." Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the ghost softly smile.

"You're welcome, Tommy."
