"What? Already tired of me? You're cold woman."
Aries let out a chuckle and nudged Fred lightly, "I could never get tired of you. George make your plate, I'm gonna go wake Ron up."
Aries quickly climbed the stairs and made the trip to Ron's room, before knocking.
"I'm already up Mum!" Ron yelled through the door.
"Well I'm sure she'll be glad to hear"
The door quickly opened, Ron standing there, a perfect mix of awake yet tired.
"I made your favorite breakfast, c'mon I wanna get to the train station early."
"Okay 'Ries, be down in a sec. Um... Could I ask you something? Just you?"
"Of course Ron, what's the problem?"
Ron chewed on his inner lip, staring at his feet while he figured out how to word it.
"What if I don't make friends?"
"What? Why wouldn't you?"
Ron didn't answer, as if the answer were too obvious to state.
"Well I'll be there. And we're friends. But I seriously doubt you'll have any trouble" Aries reassured genuinely, make a small smile creep on Ron's face.
Aries ruffled his hair, "Your breakfast is
getting cold" Aries warned before heading back downstairs. Percy and Ginny were sat at the table, already eating.
"Mum breakfast is delicious!" Ginny praised.
"Oh, I can't take credit. Aries made breakfast this morning" Molly corrected.
Ginny turned around to look at Aries, "It's delicious, thank you, 'Ries!" Ginny thanked before turning back around, elbowing Fred who was sat next to her.
"One of you two better marry her so she can be an official Weasley"
Aries face went red, but Molly smiled, "Aries is a Weasley at heart" she corrected.
This time Ginny reached around Fred to smack George's arm, "I'm serious I want her to be my sister. I want this breakfast" Ginny warned.
Aries went behind George and wrapped her arms around him, "Yeah Georgie, make an honest women of me"
"Oh bugger off" George said, but his ears were turning pink and there was a small smile on his lips.
"Hey, you were just snogging me this morning now you're going after my twin? What won't you stoop to." Fred feigned hurt.
"You two snogged?!" Ginny asked excitedly.
"No! Oh geez Freddie, look at what you've done," Aries scolded, shoving Fred lightly.
Ron came down the stairs, "What am I missing?"
"Your breakfast! Eat, now!" Aries instructed, pointing from Ron to the stove.
That was when Ginny secretly grabbed Fred's forearm to get his attention, "Marry her" Ginny whispered.
Fred rolled his eyes, "I'll try" he whispered back.
Ginny rolled her eyes in return as she went to finish her food, but what she didn't know was Fred wasn't joking. He watched as nonchalantly as he could in admiration of the girl he grown up with, who Ron had grown up with.
Fred watched as Aries hugged Ron to her chest, kissing his head, making the youngest boy's face turn red while he ate from his full plate.
Molly had been right, she was a Weasley at heart, but Ginny was also right, Fred thought. That that wasn't good enough.
Aries nervously tugged on the sleeves of her sweater in the car. This was the one part she disliked about being with the Weasley's: Feeling like she was taking up too much space, however they had become experts over the years on fitting them like Tetris blocks.
Percy was sitting passenger while Molly drove, since he was the oldest. Aries sat on George's lap, and Ginny sat on Fred's while Ron was squished between the two.
Fred watched, somewhat envious while Aries played with George's hair while she spoke with him. Lately, she had been more affectionate with all of them, including Fred, but he felt like a child at another kid's birthday party while they opened presents when he watched her give affection to someone else.
He thought back to their kiss, and then the conversation they had right before.
Fred had realized in the bathroom that day, right before he pulled her back to him to kiss her, that the reason he never thought about them living apart, or having separate families was because ever since he could remember he just assumed he would marry her. Her.
Fred was brought out of his trance by Aries' laughing, and quickly looked up.
"I can't wait to be able to go to Zonko's whenever we want!" George said happily.
"And 3rd year Defense is supposed to be really interesting this year. That's what Lupin told me,"
There it was. The one and only thing that made Fred feel like Aries wasn't comfortable with his family. They all knew she called him Remus, and the twins definitely knew she occasionally called him dad, but sometimes she would say Lupin, especially in front of Percy, as if she were afraid of being vulnerable in front of them.
"As if! Professor Quirrell won't teach us nothing important!" George argued.
The car jutted forward, making Aries hit her head on the roof of the car.
"Okay we're here, let's go! Got 20 minutes, don't dilly dally!" Molly warned as she climbed out. Aries opened the car door so fast she fell out of the car and onto the ground.
Percy, who was already out of the car, helped her up.
"Thanks Perce," Aries said quickly while checking herself for any fatalities.
The five kids who would be attending Hogwarts, quickly packed up their carts with their trunks.
Aries, without a second thought, picked up Ginny and let her sit on her trunk, something Bill and Charlie used to do for her.
