George Weasley was always a fan of consistency. One would never guess as much between seeing the chaotic house in which he was raised and the constant pranks he would pull with his twin. However, a few things were always consistent; his family, his friends, and the all but demolished pair of dress shoes he had worn since his first year at Hogwarts. He never wanted to stray from these things, as they were among the only things that provided him with a sense of stability and contentment. George would never admit this out loud, however. As much as he liked standing out with his twin brother through their various pranks and showing off to their friends, he still felt vulnerability would open him up to too much criticism or create a weak point in his positive demeanor. George Weasley was a fan of consistency, and although his comfort zone consisted of shenanigans and dirty shoes, he stayed firmly within it.

There is no verifiable moment when George Weasley found himself ready and eager to leave his comfort zone, but anyone around him could probably guess it was around the time he was partnered with Salem Mailess in Herbology.
