Toru Oikawa's favorite things consist of milk bread, himself, volleyball, and Iwazumi Hajime. Iwa know's he's very special to Oikawa, but he doesn't feel the need to express it. Iwa's never really thought about his relationship with Oikawa. They fight (mostly because Iwa starts it), and Iwa bullies him, calls him names... just regular playful fighting if you ask me.

"Oi, Shittykawa, hurry up with those volleyballs will you?"

"Jeez Iwa-chan, can't you think of anything better than that god-awful nickname?"

Ah yes, the nicknames. "Iwa-chan" is the most famous nickname that Oikawa calls... well anyone really. He knows Iwa secretly likes the nickname, but Iwa likes to pretend that it's the worst thing that happened to him.

"Iwa-chan! There you are! I was looking everywhere!"
"Yeah, I was trying to get away from you and that horrendous nickname."
"Oh come on Iwa-chan! You know you love the nickname!!"
"In your dreams, Flattykawa."

Oikawa knows that his appearance is..well at first glance you think he's a hot snobby rich kid who likes to make lots of smart remarks about everything. Then you start to notice the softness about him when it comes to his "Iwa-chan", then you notice his determination and god-like serve, and then you notice his ass. It's kind of hard to see, considering how flat Oikawa really is. Yes, Oikawa's heard all the jokes about his ass. He's used to it by now, and quite frankly, he doesn't give a crap. But there are certain things he does care about, and I'm pretty sure you can guess what those things are.

"Iwa are you sick? You need to take better care of yourself, otherwise, you won't be able to play volleyball and stick around me!"

"Why the hell would I want to-" His whole body shook with the force of his sneeze."-stick around someone like you?"

"Iwa just go home and get rest!" Which he did, and thanks to Oikawa's advice, Iwa was better in a couple of days. He did kind of miss Oikawa while he was stuck at home. But when he came back, Oikawa was not noticeably different from when he saw him 3 days earlier. But as he watched him practice -as he did a lot- he noticed that Oikawa's serve was more accurate, and a little stronger.

"Did you see that Iwa-chan! I'm getting better at my serves!"

"Yeah, sure Trashykawa... just make sure you take your own advice and take care of yourself ok?"
"Of course Iwa-chan! Anything for you!"

"Oh, just stop already. You act like such a simp."

"What's a simp Iwa-chan?"
"Not only a simp but an idiot one too."

Oikawa was very much a simp, and he did tend to act like an idiot. Well not "like" an idiot, he was an idiot - at times.

The weeks went by, Oikawa practiced more, Iwa tormented him, and all went as it usually did. That is until the team had an actual match. Oikawa was tired, sluggish, and not his usual self. Don't get me wrong, his serve still packed a huge punch, but Iwa noticed it wasn't as accurate and powerful. It was weaker like he wasn't really putting any effort into it.

"Oi, Flattykawa! What's with your serves?"

"It's nothing! I'm fine. I'll do better on the next one."

This was a blatant lie. He was fumbling every other serve, well, as much fumbling as he would allow anyway. After many, many embarrassing attempts at serving and running around to try to get the ball, Aoba Joshi won the match. But with little to no help from Oikawa. At one point, he was subbed out for another server. Oikawa felt two holes in the back of his head, from where the team and his fans were glaring at him.

"Dumbass! Why are you off your game today? You said you were going to fix it.-"

"I know! I know Iwa-chan. It was a really bad game, we almost lost because of me. I was just.. tired. Really tired for some reason." Oikawa hung his head with his pride. He was never subbed out. He was always there, in the court. Everyone always watched him. He was amazing. He was a star. But today, he was a flat out failure. Everyone knew it, Oikawa knew it himself. But no one could say it out loud. Almost.

"You failed today Oikawa." The calmness in Iwa's voice confused Oikawa.

"W-what?"

"You heard what I said. We could've lost. Then where would our school pride go? Everyone would hate you, Oikawa."

"Maybe not everyone, Iwa. Maybe just you." Oikawa left the gym quickly, and Iwa had to run after him before he lost him.

"Where are you going?!"

"I don't know. But after all, I'm just a dumbass right?"
