JS.

Jisoo didn't really get why Jennie was so excited and gave her the brightest smile when she sat down with her tray beside her. Maybe because she considers Jisoo a friend? Or if Jisoo is lucky, the younger wants to spend more time with her because she likes her? Jisoo shook her head, she is getting ahead of herself.

"I'm so happy you came." Jennie giggled. Jisoo noticed that everyone was watching them, are they still not over making rumours about her and Jennie?

"You asked me to, of course I came." Jisoo returned a gentle smile brightening Jennie's face further.

Jisoo noticed that Krystal and her group made their way to them. She got ready to spill her chocolate milk over her again but they passed them without making any advance towards Jennie. Well, that is new. Jisoo furrowed her eyebrows, watching them leave.

"Are you not going to eat?"

"Ah right." Jisoo picked up a sandwich from her tray and started eating. "Are you friends not here?" She swallowed.

"Rosé and Lisa? They have kitchen duty." Jennie answered, taking a sip from her carbonated water. "What about the boys?"

"Jinyoung and Doyoung sleep long."

They fell back into silence and munched on their bread.

"Say," Jennie swallowed a bit of her avocado sandwich. "You don't happen to be able to climb up a rope?"

Jisoo cocked a brow, a playful grin gracing her face. "You mean for physical education?"

Jennie nodded timidly and Jisoo understood where this conversation is going.

"Normally, no. Scared of heights. But I think if we switch I might be able to." Jisoo answered. "So yes, I'll do it for you."

"Thanks." Jennie smiled. If they only have eight switches left, they might as well use them wisely.

Jisoo's eyes flickered to Jennie's plate. The younger was removing the cucumbers from her sandwich and placed them on her plate. She doesn't like them huh?

"I'll eat the cucumbers for you."

Jisoo opened her mouth and closed her eyes. She felt Jennie feeding her with chopsticks. When she opened her eyes the brunette's face was pink.

"Our first indirect kiss." Jisoo chuckled.

JN.

Jennie's face heated up more, she dropped her chopsticks and searched for her water bottle.

Lately Jennie feels her heart find irregular speed when she is around Jisoo. She could go to her room and search up 'why does my heart flutter around my friend', but she could also bypass that whole acting oblivious. Jennie doesn't consider herself that naive anymore, she knows what that could mean.

She liked it when Jisoo looked after her and she enjoyed to sit in silence with her while eating snacks and drinking soda in the garden.

So of course she thought extending that time, and making her sit with her during breakfast as well will be even better. She just has to get used to blushing around her or maybe she should do something about it.

Flirting back? No, she's not there yet. Ignoring it? Then she might embarrass herself.

"Is there something you don't like to eat?" Jennie deflected expertly.

"Not really."

Jisoo must have realised that Jennie felt disappointed with that answer because the next thing Jennie knows is that Jisoo retook her statement and told her she doesn't like avocado.

It was clearly a lie but Jennie just smiled as Jisoo fed her in return.

"Hey there." As Jennie heard that voice, her eyes rolled as far as possible.

"Go away." Jisoo scurried at the confident boy.

He had a bouquet of roses in his hands that he placed on Jennie's table, ignoring Jisoo.

"Everyone can I get your attention?" Taeyong jumped on said table and called loudly.

Jennie sank back into her seat and sighed. He might think he is cute but Jennie isn't really feeling it.

"In seven days I will hold a Christmas party. If Jennie attends then everyone is not only free to attend but also will there be a gift back for every single guest containing tickets to a music festival, money and various more goods."

He was quite satisfied with himself when everyone clapped and took the bite. Their gazes instantly stopped at Jennie. Thereafter he left, not forgetting to wink at his ex.

"You sneaky cheating scheming villain in disguise!" Jisoo went up on her feet and was about to rush after him if it wasn't for Jennie who held her back, telling her it's not worth it.

"But--"

"Forget it Jisoo." Then Jennie turned to the crowd of people gawking at her and told them loudly she was going to attend.

"You are what!?"

"Listen, he totally doesn't like me. I'm certain of it now. I'm starting to think you are right about him knowing more than he lets on. He wants me to go for some reason and we will find out why."

"We?"

"We."
