New Beginnings

"Hey, Wanda," Rhodey knocked on Wanda's door. "We're going to go train in a few, if you want to join."

"Okay, I'll be there," Wanda responded and got out of bed to start putting on training gear.

Once she was ready, Wanda walked outside her room and walked into the common room. There, Natasha, Steve, Rhodey, Vision, and Sam were already waiting.

"Glad you're joining us," Sam warmly smiled.

"Thanks," Wanda returned the smile.

"We're waiting on one more and she should be here soon," Nat announced.

A few minutes later, a tall, blonde woman came into the compound and met everyone else in the common room.

"Hey, sorry, I'm late," the woman introduced herself.

"Hey, Carol," Nat went up and greeted her with a hug. "Not a problem."

"How do you two already know each other?" Sam raised an eyebrow.

"Fury introduced us a while back," Nat explained. "Anyway, Carol, this is Steve, Sam, Rhodey, Vision and Wanda. Everyone else, this is Carol."

"Pleasure to meet you," Steve reached out and shook Carol's hand.

"Nice to meet you all," Carol smiled. "Anyway, ready to train?"

The group of heroes then headed down to the gym together. Steve led them in a basic warmup routine and afterwards, he and Sam ran a few laps around the gym.

"Hey, I'm Carol," Carol said to Wanda as they continued stretching.

"Wanda," Wanda responded with a small smile.

"If you don't mind my asking, how old are you?" Carol asked. "You seem significantly younger than your teammates.

"Yeah, I'm 15," Wanda shrugged.

"Damn," Carol nodded in awe. "Any powers?"

"Uh, yeah, actually," Wanda said as she demonstrated her powers a bit.

"Very cool," Carol said in awe. "How'd you get them?"

"You know who HYDRA is?" Wanda asked. "They experimented on me and my brother. And then we joined the Avengers during a conflict. Well, we did before he died."

"Aw, I'm sorry," Carol rubbed her back in sympathy. "That's horrible, what they did to you."

"Thanks, that means a lot," Wanda cracked a grin. "Any powers for you?"

"Yeah!" Carol brightened a bit. "I was in an accident when I was an AirForce pilot and these aliens called the Kree gave me powers."

"Holy shit," Wanda's eyes widened. "That's insane."

"It really was," Carol agreed. "Lost my memories too and-"

"Listen up," Steve interrupted their conversation. "It's time to start actually training. Sam, Rhodey, and Natasha, you all are going to spar and work on fighting techniques. Carol, we are going to work on control with Wanda."

"Oh shit, she's going to kill us," Sam whispered to Rhodey.

"Damn right," Natasha winked. "Sam, you're up first."

Meanwhile, Steve, Carol,and Wanda moved to the other side of the gym to work on controlling their powers. Carol was already pretty comfortable with them and knew how to properly use them to her advantage, so Steve figured that Carol would be really good at helping Wanda with hers.

"Carol, would you like to demonstrate?" Steve suggested, hoping it would make Wanda feel more comfortable using hers.

"Sure!" Carol excitedly replied. She then turned and to face the crash dummies lined up near the wall and blasted the crash dummies and grinned as they were destroyed.
