Chelsea Fisher
Really he was sorry? He better be sorry after storming out on me despite the fact I spoke the truth. I was more angry at him now than I think I was then because it has taken him this long to finally admit so.
"Well. Chels I drove all this way please say something." he pleaded. I crossed my arms, debating my answer.
"I don't believe you're sorry." I countered and watched his face fall.
"What? But it's the truth. Come on I just drove all this way how can you not believe me?" He rushed still a little sad at my rejection.
"Hurts doesn't it." I said suddenly, "when someone doesn't believe you." I said mockingly. He didn't say anything, probably confused at my reaction then anything.
"Oh so then am I forgiven?" He asked hopefully and pulled a small smile on my direction.
I hated to admit it but I couldn't stay mad at him and that smile. "Alright fine." I said and kept my arms crossed.
"So then what happens with us? Are we back together?" He was certainly hopefully that we were. Although to be honest I wasn't sure if we were in the first place. I had never really accepted his offer to date him before we were going upstairs.
"I don't know..." I trailed off, heading back inside at Sarah's call that dinner was ready. Ashton followed me back in, leaning against the door frame behind me that lead into the large dining room.
"You can stay for the weekend if you really want to." I offered awkwardly, entirely certain my family wouldn't mind.
"Alright I will. For you." he said with a goofy smile. I returned it, glancing down as I did so.
"Hey you two." my aunt laughed as she entered. "You're under the mistletoe." my eyes grew wide at the realization, glancing up to see the small bundle of green above our heads.
I swallowed hard at the sight my eyes hitting Ashton's as I shuffled back slightly. "Hey no backing out until you kiss." she warned, my dad and brother now among the others that had joined.
Ashton leaned forward quickly, planting a small kiss on my cheek before moving away to the table. I was relieved he hadn't planted some big kiss on my lips before my family when I wasn't sure of my feelings. He pulled out the chair I had my glass at and waited for me to sit before shuffling it forward towards the large table.
"Such a gentlemen, honey I must say you've found a good one." my aunt commented as ashton sat beside me. An awkward blush crept onto my cheeks at the comment, leaning into the back of the chair.
"Thanks." I mumbled awkwardly.

I sat up slowly after I had been lying without sleep for close to twenty minutes. I couldn't quite figure out why I couldn't sleep, but never the less, I couldn't.
It had been two days and Christmas Day was tomorrow morning. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but I couldn't stop thinking about ashton showing up and working things out with him.
I pulled myself from the inviting sheets on the bed, trudging in my track pants, wool socks and baggy sweater down the stairs to the kitchen for a drink.
"Ashton?" I must have startled him more then I had thought because he jumped around when I called out his name.
"Hey. Couldn't sleep." he commented.
"Me either." I responded and moved to the fridge to grab a glass of water and drink it all almost instantly.
"Thank you." he said suddenly, catching me off guard as to why he was saying thanks.
"You're welcome?" I responded uncertainly.
"You know that last time we stood in this position was after your dad and Sarah's rehearsal dinner." he was indeed right, and things were just as awkward then as they were now.
"So much has changed." I commented without thought and watched him nod in return.
I moved away and into the dining room to get a better look of the stars outside the large window. Ashton stood beside me, his shoulder brushing mine as I continued to look forward blankly.
"I guess I better get to sleep." I spoke blankly and took a few steps away from ashton and towards the staircase.
"Wait." I stopped only after a few paces, Looking back at him as he moved across from me.
"What?" I asked and crossed my arms.
"We're under the mistletoe." and sure enough, we were.
I had barely looked up before Ashton's soft lips were pressing into mine, the frantic movements moving our lips in sync as his hands gripped my hips to push me back into the frame. His body followed suit, pushing up against mine as my arms looped tightly around his neck to grip his hair.
His tongue joined in to run across my bottom lip a few times before I parted my lips enough for him to sneak in. It felt strange to be kissing him with the possibility of family walking down the stairs and seeing us. But I didn't care in the least, because I had ashton and he had me.

A/N happy ending to this chapter.
Sorry about the weird profile glitches. I made some changes so things are a little messed up. Hopefully it's fixed soon.
