Collared Lizard
In the defensive pose, the Collared Lizard opens its mouth in a wide gape. If molested, the lizard will bite. in preference to biting an attacker it will leap away over the rocks where it lives in the deserts of the Southern U.S. The Collared Lizard is aan activecpredator. It hunts during the day for insects, smaller lizards, and small snakes and mice. Highly agile, it can even leap into the air to catch the flying insects.

Fine Feathered Falcon
With its wings feathers spread, the Lanner Falcon is poised to strike. Lanner Falcons in the Sahara Desert hunt water holes for Sand Grouses. They spot their prey from the a great height and then swoop down to catch birds in mid-air or on the ground. The falcons' sharp talons grip the prey while their hooked beaks rip the flesh. Lanner Falcons also catch lizards and feed on swarming locusts on the ground. Because of their superb hunting skills, they are popular birds to train for falconry. Lanner falcons lay three to four eggs on the rocky ledges of desert cliffs.
