It was a very dark stormy day, as too many other days, when Santana Lopez walked out of her broken home to catch the bus on the first day of her senior year. As she walked down the muddy pathway through the trees, that she once played on, she rounded the corner and made her way to the bus stop. It was quite cold for a late summer day in Ohio. With her hands in her pocket she slipped away into a world of her own, where she could be who ever she wants. As her eyes slowly closed she felt a sharp impact on the side of her head. She slowly opened her eyes and turned to see who threw the rock.
"San I told you it wouldn't be good to wait out here by yourself." A tall, skinny blonde walked into her view. Santana looked up and smiled,
"Brittany, I told you before I can handle myself." Santana said with a big grin on her face. Brittany was Santana's best friend since diapers, they always had each other. Brittany rolled her eyes with a dopey grin,
"So, you excited to finally be a senior?" she asked excitedly while bouncing up and down. Santana looked up in her ocean blue eyes and nodded.
"I am more excited to get out of this dump, and go some where where i can actually be myself." Santana stated the last slowly getting quieter. Santana was always known as the problem child, always getting into trouble. She always craved that attention from her parents, but once she finally got it, she never wanted it again. The attention she got just made her hurt, instead of her parents being happy for her, they started to push her to her limit. It just became too much for Santana and she fell back onto being the bad kid, who got good grades but also got detention. She didn't mind it though, it kept her out of the house and mostly out of more trouble.
"San?" Brittany asked, while waving a hand in her face. "hm?" Santana asked now looking at the ground.
"Everything o-" Brittany was about to finish her question, right when the bus finally pulled in front of the two girls. Santana looked back and smiled at Brittany, Brittany gave a weak smile back as the pair walked onto the bus and got into their seats. Santana sat by the window, while Brittany sat right next to her. Santana turned and looked at Brittany, she was admiring how Brittany could be so free. How anything could happen and Brittany could still be perfect. See Brittany had everything Santana didn't, well beside the smarts, Brittany had two very loving and supportive parents, she was also very loved and popular without even trying. As Santana had to try and get what she wanted, but that's what she loved about Brittany, and she knows no matter what that Brittany will always be there for her, well thats until Brittany's boyfriend, Sam, walks onto the bus. Right when Sam walks on, everything in that moment changes; Brittany's facial features harden, Santana develops a feeling of emptiness in her chest, and Brittany starts to ignore Santana. That's what hurts Santana the most, that fool, has the one she loves. The one that she wants to call hers but can't because of her parents and the world she lives in. But, most of all she's scared, so when Sam walks pass their seat and Brittany looks back at you with a smile, all you can do is smile back and stare out the window the rest of the way to school. She loses track of the time while staring out the window that she doesn't even realize they are at school until someone hits her on the back of the head and she hears laughter. She rolls her eyes and gives them a death stare, she smiles once all the kids quickly get off the bus. Once San is off the bus she looks around to find her best friend currently smacking it with Sam, she fakes gags and continue to walk into the school. Once at her usual spot, she looks at her schedule. After looking, she hears the bell ring, while making her way to homeroom she hears a laughter coming from a janitor closet. She thinks about walking away and minding her business, but she Santana she can't do that. She slowly grabbed the knob and twisted it open. Her eyes widened in disgust, Sam and some random junior are in the closet.
"Oh my, ew!" Santana held her laugh back while talking.
"Santana it's not what it looks like, i promise." Sam said with pleading eyes.
