Uh, all characters belong to jk rowling except my own originals. I take no um credit for her people I'm just writing a cool fanfic. also thanks to my friend maddie for helping me with this chapter

Going back to Hogwarts was heaven to Raina. She missed her friends. No letters she sent had been returned except for pansy but all she wanted to talk about was how much she liked Draco. Although she was her best friend she could honestly care less. Raina just wanted to see her friends again. Gross. She sounded like a sappy Hufflepuff.

Raina grene and her twin brother matao were pureblood. although her brother was a Ravenclaw, Raina was a proud Slytherin. Both siblings were entering their 3rd year at Hogwarts academy of witchcraft and wizardry.

"Let's go before we miss the train Raina '' yelled Mateo waking Raina out of her trance. They had to run to catch up with the train as they were a little late. When they did get on the train Mateo immediately left Raina to go look for his Ravenclaw friends. So Raina was left alone to search for her friends. As she passed cabin after cabin she noticed one blond stand in the doorway of one.

"Well look who it is" said Draco Malfoy in his usual snotty voice. But he wasn't talking to her. He was speaking to the trio in the compartment. Her best friend always hated them after harry refused to shake his hand in 3rd year. Although he'd never admit that that was the reason of course anyone could see that. Raina had spent countless hours in the Slytherin common room listening to " potter this, potter that, stupid potter and his stupid hand" and now he was currently bullying Ronald Weasley for his parents' lack of money.

" heard your father finally got his hands on some gold this summer Weasley, did your mother die of shock?" as Ron stood up ready to argue with Draco Raina stepped in to stop a future fight between the two

"That's enough Draco you do too much sometimes" spoke Raina.

"Yeah listen to your girlfriend Malfoy," said potter

"Shut up orphan don't you have a scar to cry about?" she dragged Draco away after seeing that there was what looked like a teacher in the compartment. Draco complained all about his summer once they reached their friends. " such a bad summer but you didn't write back? Neither of you" she said while looking at Blaise.

"Hey I actually had things to do this su-" Blaise was cut off from his sentence when the train suddenly stooped and began to get cold. Raina felt all the happy memories drain out of her as if her memory was suddenly wiped. she tried to think of any memory, she tried to picture her first year getting sorted, befriending Draco and pansy, riding a broom, laughing with her brother, anything to hold on to her happy memories but they slipped away. All she heard was her own crying but it wasn't coming from her.

"What the hell is going on" exclaimed Draco. his face was white and he looked scared.

"Dementors. There are dementors on the train." cried someone in the compartment.

"Why are dementors on the train." Raina couldn't tell who the voice was coming from. Her vision was blurry and she could barely hear. She felt like she was gonna pass out soon. The crying was getting louder and louder. She could barely hear the people around her. And just as fast as it started it went away.

"Are you alright?" asked the man she recognized to be from the compartment with potter and Weasley.

"Yeah my head just hurts and I feel sick" groned Raina

"Here eat this chocolate it'll make you feel better. Now I must go to check on the rest," he said while passing me the chocolate. By the time the lights came on, I had barely managed to finish it.

As my eyes were adjusting to the sudden light I heard someone call out to me "Raina are you alright" but before I could answer I was being picked up off the floor by Draco.

"Yeah I'm fine, I must've fallen when the train stopped," I said. I could tell he didn't believe me by the way he was looking at me. "Seriously Draco I'm perfectly fine," he continued to stare into my eyes even after I looked away.

I'm not sure why he suddenly began to care so deeply. Before I could think too much about it the train suddenly shot out and I hit my head on the window which caused Draco to laugh.

So much for caring about me, I thought

When te train arrived at the school, we got off and briefly heard Longbottom explaining what happened in his cabin

"Well, it got all dark... harry was screaming and then he passed out then the man with us woke up and cast a silvery spell that made them go away and then harry got up..."

"You hear that Raina? Potter fainted. Draco laughed. I gave him a nod, I was kinda bothered that he would laugh at potter when I would've fainted if it wasn't for the man. Draco noticed I was upset and said "hey u ok?" I brushed him off and walked ahead to talk to Pansy.

"Who do you think the man in our cabin was?" I asked her.

"Maybe some new staff on the train like the trolly lady. I don't know Raina why does it even matter" she asked me. Of course, she wouldn't care, most people wouldn't think twice about a man in raggedy robes. He was kinda cute though....a voice in the back of her head said. Refusing to acknowledge the voice I noticed I fell a little behind the group and jogged to catch up.

When they found a carriage we sat in silence. Realizing everyone was acting strangely Raina wondered what had actually happened over the summer for everyone. Any other time pansy would've sat beside Draco and Raina would've been by Blaise but it was the opposite. her thoughts were interrupted by Draco leaning over to her and speaking.

"Raina I'm not sure what I did but I'm sorry," she didn't respond to his apology she only gave him a simple nod. Now she was sure there was something wrong. Not once has Draco apologized to her in her years of knowing him. What was up with this boy? She asked herself.

During the quick ride, she noticed more things about Draco acting differently. There were multiple times where she caught him staring at her as if she were gonna break at any moment. There was a certain softness in his eyes that she had only seen in him when he was speaking to his mother. One time his soft gray eyes met my confused green ones, I could've sworn I saw his neck get pink. Did the pureblood Draco Malfoy just blush? We need to get him to Madam Pomfrey immediately.

The whole ride felt as if I were left out of one big secret
