The Ferryman

Chapter 1

A group of friends, Eagar to create new content for their upcoming Paranormal investigation documentary for their YouTube channel, stumble across a prime paranormal Hotspot in the form of a lodge with a dense forest in the back yard. There is a very dark and disturbing background for the  land that the lodge was built on.

The previous owner of the land owned a house on this very land and nearly butchered his entire family. He went out one day for groceries and came back deranged and had blood shot eyes. He was said to have walked in with an axe and had lodged it in the skull of his wife who was waiting for him in the kitchen, her blood splattering across the counter and on the wall, after he had killed her, he then proceeded up the stairs to his youngest daughter who was only 11, strangled and broke her neck, after which he slit open her throat with a knife he had pried out of his dead wifes hands and  had forced his arm down her throat and pulled out her heart.

After mutilating his youngest daughter he moved on to murder his middle child who was only 15, broke down her door and slit her throat, pulled out her windpipe, cut off her hands and slit open her mouth, placed her hands inside of her now open mouth and throat as though he were making a shrine. His eldest son managed to survive the attack by ramming his deranged father down the first flight of stairs and ran out to the shed and grabbed his fathers hunting rifle and in a quick succession placed three large holes in his fathers head.

He then called the police and waited outside his house, the rifle underneath his lower jaw, one last round in the chamber, his finger on the trigger and his face smeared with the blood of his younger sisters and  his mother. When the police arrived they asked him what happened and through a trembling voice and outbursts of tears and screams he told them of the horrific things that had occurred and he then pointed to his now dead father laying on the ground, just a few meters away from the house, the knife still in his bloodied hands. When the police had finally gotten the son to relay his story one final time, he took his own life in the middle of the police station, saying he couldn't live with the horrors he had just witnessed a few hours ago and snatched a police officers shotgun, apologized to everyone and placing the gun underneath his lower jaw, he pulled the trigger.

With a deafening  bang followed by the splatter of blood, brains and the thud of the body hitting  the ground echoed throughout the silent police station, as officers stood, horrified at the way the poor boy, only 18  had ended his life due to his father losing his mind. That very day the house was abandoned and the police had gathered the bodies, examined them and later on the family was buried by distant relatives.
