     I layed on my bed, the sun shinning through the soft gold curtains. I had a lovely nights sleep and was ready for anything. I sat up and hoped off my bed and made my way to the closet. I opened the closet doors and looked into my closet. It was medium sized and fit all my formal and lounge wear in it. I didn't have anything important to do today so I settled on a long sleeved shirt with a Dandelion in the center of it, a pair of black leggings with a yellow skirt and some yellow heals. I had 2 outfits planned out for today, the one I chose, the other a soft golden dress with black gloves and black tights, in honer of my best friend, Emmie Blackburn, who had gone missing for several years. By now everyone thinks shes dead and my parents called off the search for her, but me and my mom still believe shes out there. I put my hair in a long ponytail and went straight to the kitchen. My mama and papa were sitting at the table chatting, going over papers and their busy schedule for the day, while my mom was cooking pancakes, yum! I have 2 mothers and 1 father. My mama is the known queen of our kingdom, Marrissa Whitestone, my papa the known king, Richard Whitestone. While my mom took on the job of the house work pretending to be a maid close to them, Gwen Goldwater. Though, Emmie found out the 3 of them were a thing together pretty quick.

"Look whos finally up early for once," my mama joked adjusting her crown. "ha ha very funny." I replied.

"Its good that she is up early otherwise she'd be eating cold pancakes," my dad said sarcastically. It was true though. Normally on free days I sleep in until noon, but not today! Today I was an early bird. I scarfed down my pancakes and rushed out the kitchen, ignoring the confused glances of my mama and papa. My mom had already started cleaning the throne room halfway through me finishing my pancakes. Papa calls her a work-alcoholic. I grabbed my coat and scarf off the rack and put them on as I walked out the castle door, and through the gates. Didn't take long for me to get to the flower shop. I had ordered a bouquet of dandelions, yellow tulips, and red roses last week to be ready today. I picked them up and payed the florist 6 silver coins, 4 bronze and 1 gold for a tip. I walked past and behind the bakery to a small hill. it was always a beautiful sight and I never got old of it. The hill was split in half by a a small river, if you were skilled enough you could jump over it.  I gave a small leap over the river and landed on the other side and set down the bouquet of flowers.

"Happy birthday Emmie... I miss you," I whispered quietly. Emmie had disappeared after a she and I had a huge fight. I carefully took the flowers out of the bouquet and laid them in the shape of 3 different hearts. I stood up and went inside to eat some lunch. It took a while to get from the castle to the flower shop then to the hill. The town was close to the castle yes, but the floral shop was a 45 minute walk away and the bakery was an hour walk from there, the hill being 15 minutes from the bakery. I had a small lunch which didn't take long to eat at all then went back out to the hill and stopped. There was a black figure sitting by the hearts I made with the flowers. Literally black. I'd seen it following me around the castle for a while but never thought about it. It never left the shadows and disappeared a lot.

   I hesitated for about 5 minutes before going and sitting beside it. I wondered why it had been following me, what is was up to, and why it only appeared around me. "why're.... why're you here?" I asked. God I felt stupid, asking a shadow looking thing a question. Suddenly it faced me and, leaned against me- as if it wanted a hug or something.

"S-Sun.... f-flower...."

   "Emmie!! You shouldn't be here you'll get in trouble!!" 5 year old addy said, worried for her friend.

   "I don't care.... I wanted to visit" 4 year old Emmie replied back holding a yellow rose.

   "Emmie did you steal from the floral shop again?" Addy said with a worried, upset tone of voice. She frowned as her friend nodded and turned to her. She began to speak but her friend cut her off.

   "Addy I want you to promise me that when we get older!" Emmie interrupted Addy as she scooted closer. Addy wasn't fazed by this at all. Emmie had always been very clingy to Addy since the 2 of them had met. If Emmie wasn't off exploring or stealing from the local shops, She was by Addy, hugging Addy's arm, sitting beside her, or on her lap. "You'll do what my daddy did to my mommy and get down on one knee and hold out a pretty ring while asking me to marry you!!"

   Addy turned a bit red. Emmie wasn't familiar with love at all yet, but Addy knew everything about it. Addy smiled at the golden eyed girl in her lap and giggled. "Of course my sunflower"
