At 7:30, I had found myself awkwardly sitting at a dinner table with Emilio and Celeste. It was deathly silent. You could only hear the faint sound of chewing. No one had said a word and it was because no one knew what to say.

“How’s the dinner guys?” Celeste asked trying to break the silence. I quickly grabbed a glass of water, focusing on my plate, and not on Emilio. I was trying not to stare at him so hard, but it was proving to be a difficult task.

“Great,” Emilio answered as he proceeded to stab a piece of chicken with his fork and drown it in hot sauce.

“Fantastic,” I replied politely. “I always enjoy a nice home-cooked meal.”

“Oh – You think I’m good. You should try Emilio’s cooking,” she insisted. “He is quite the food connoisseur.”

“Please! Stop it,” Emilio replied modestly. “You’re amazing.”

Handsome and a good cook? Why had I been such an ass to him? He was definitely trophy husband material. Now if he was good in the sack, then I was sold.

“Thanks Emilio!” she laughed running her hands across his shoulder.

“So Will,” Emilio asked shifting his attention towards me. “Do you cook?”

I had to hold myself back from laughing at that. Me? Cook? As if. I barely had time to eat. “Nope, I don’t have the time,” I sighed. “You know saving lives. Take-out and frozen foods are my best friends.”

“Well - Maybe if you play your cards right I’ll make you dinner one day,” he winked. My cards? Was he suggesting what I think he was suggesting? I think it might have just gotten a little bit warm in here.

“And what exactly do you mean by that?” I retorted trying to make sure I had heard him correctly.

“How about dessert?” Celeste cut in, obviously trying to change the subject. But Emilio and I, of course, continued our back and forth.

“I think you know exactly what I mean,” he said biting his lower lip a little. Oh, he was good. He had this seductive, flirty thing down. He could probably seduce the robes off a nun.

“I’d rather you tell me,” I replied taking a sip from my water. A grin quickly spread across Emilio’s face.

“Dessert anyone?” Celeste repeated.

“Meet me in my apartment in fifteen minutes and I’ll show you,” he said his accent thick and heavy. “Are you hands-on or a visual learner?”

“Ice cream! I have some ice cream!” Celeste smiled, shifting around in her chair. This had definitely gotten awkward for her.

“It depends on what I’m learning or rather how big the topic is,” I replied playing into his game. Emilio gave me a devious smirk. He was probably shocked that I was actually feeding into his advances. Hell – I was shocked.

“It’s quite big actually,” he replied his eyes not leaving mine once.

“I think I can handle big.” Emilio nodded, tracing his tongue against his teeth as soon as I said that.

“I’m going to get that ice cream,” Celeste said excusing herself from the table. She rushed out of the living room quickly and into the kitchen fast, pretending as if she hadn’t heard a word we had just said. It was only vaguely sexually. Someone needs to take their granny panties off and put on a thong, but then again, I was one to talk.

“So where exactly is your apartment?” I asked. I didn’t want to him think that I was just a talker. I follow through.

“Third floor,” he said taking a swig of his water.
