45. I trust you

"I trust you," he had said,
Before leaving forever,

He had wrapped his arm around her form,
Still, vulnerable and trembling in his arms,

He had hugged her close to his closed off heart,
Her face hidden in his chest as she cried away her worries,

He had rubbed circles on her back,
As her whispered her thanks,

"I trust you," he had said again and again that night,
He had held her tight and supported her weight as she poured her thoughts in speech,

He held his only sister close to him,
As she sobbed and spilled the truth to him,

She trembled as she told him,
How defeated they were, she was,

She leaned onto her support pillar,
As the unsettling feeling gripped her throat,

He told her to stay there,
He told her to not to yield,

He told her he would be back,
Just after dealing with a problem in the firm,

He made sure not to leave before he knew she'd be better,
He made sure she was covered with a warm quilt,
The one that he bought her on her last birthday,

As she lay there with tears smudging her khol,
He left her on the couch,

She recieved the news half an hour later,
Her brother, her support, the only person that mattered,

Had left forever and ever.

Lyrics of the day

Suhana Safar aur ye mausam hasin,
Hume darr hai hum kho na jaye kahi,
Ye kon hasta hai phoolo me chupkar,
Bahar bechain hai kiski dhun par?
