First Day

*BEEEEEEEP-* "Ughhhh" you groan as you turn off your alarm . It's 6am and you're debating whether or not you should get ready or lay in bed for another ten minutes. "A couple minutes won't hurt." So you set your timer and close your eyes. *BEEP BEEP BEE-* You grab your phone while your face is planted in your pillow. "Dammit."you whined. You couldn't sleep last night because of how anxious you were about going to a new school. You missed your friends from Inarizaki. After laying in bed for a while ,you finally decide to get ready.

You put on your new uniform and take a  good look at yourself in your bathroom mirror. The skirt is high waisted that goes just above your thighs; it was well fitted , and your socks are below your shin. The shirt shaped your waist up well. Despite the fact the skirt was shorter than you'd like, you thought it looked really good on you. You put on some light makeup and jewelry before heading downstairs.

-A/N: js pretend that driving a car to school is a thing in japan okay? lol-

"Yo y/n have you seen the keys?" Your brother Eiji asks. (You and Eiji are fraternal twins and have been joined at the hip since birth. He's what you would call your built in bestie.) "No I haven't, did you check the kitchen?" You reply. He's pacing back and forth from the living room to the kitchen, trying to remember. "Eiji we're gonna be late where'd you put the keys?" You ask as you help him look. "You know what I'm just gonna call Kuroo." He said. Your brother recently joined Nekoma's volleyball team this past summer, but him and Kuroo have always been really good friends. He never hesitated to crash at your place when you lived at your old house. So now that you live closer and will be attending the same school, you're going to be seeing him a lot more than usual.(🌚.)

"He's probably at school already don't bother, cmon" You nudge Eiji as you continue to look for the keys. "Nah it's fine." He pulls out his phone to call Kuroo, and you both see a car park in front of your house through the living room window. "Is that-" he cuts you off mid sentence "hehe yup". You both grab your bags and head out the door. Eiji runs up waving to the car.

"Yo! So what made you want to pick us up? I mean I was gonna call you anyways but still." As you lock the door behind you and walk up to kuroo. You couldn't help but notice how much handsome he's gotten since the last time you seen him. He looks at you and replies; "Well who else better to give you a personal tour of the school than me?" He gives you his signature smirk. You laugh and roll your eyes.

On the way to school Kuroo and Eiji start talking about their pre-season. You also have a passion for volleyball so you couldn't help but smile as you listen to their conversation. Kuroo looks at you through the rearview mirror and you both catch each other's glances. Out of embarrassment you quickly turn your head to your window. [awkward..]. In the corner of your eye you can see him still smiling at you through the mirror. "Kuroo if you don't pay attention to the road you're gonna kill us." You say in a sarcastic tone. "Can you blame me for enjoying the view?" He gives you another smirk. [is he talking about me..?]. "It's really nice outside don't ya think y/n?" He continues. "Yea it's pretty" you reply. [ I guess he wasn't talking about me] "Pretty doesn't even begin to describe it" He says while still looking at you through the rearview mirror.[Orrr maybe he is?] You're still looking out the window and covering your mouth. [what's with him?].

"Uhh wow Kuroo I never took you as the scenic type." Eiji turns to Kuroo confused. "Heh there's still plenty you don't know about me my friend." Eiji looks at him in disbelief. "Whaaat? but I've known you since middle school. I feel hurt I guess we're not close friends after all" Eiji puts the back of one hand on his forehead and the other shunning kuroo. He's always been dramatic. Kuroo looks at him and purposefully makes a hard stop so Eiji can hit his head on the dashboard. "First of all put your seatbelt on. And second, what did you expect? You and y/n went to karasuno right after middle school." You noticed kuroo looked a little glum after he said that. "Even after the three of us agreed to go to Nekoma...*sniffles* "Traitors." Kuroo said in the same sarcastically sad tone as Eiji earlier. You laughed at their dramatic performance [wow they really are best friends].

You finally arrive at Nekoma High. "Wow this place is huge" You said in awe. You start walking towards Eiji when Kuroo walks up from behind you and places his hand on your shoulder. He bends down to your ear and says in a low tone. " Don't worry you'll adjust to its size just fine." You froze for a second and kuroo just looked at you and smiled. "Cmon." [what.was.that?] The both of you are walking to Eiji and your eyes are fixated on Kuroo. He notices you and says in a playful tone. "You're staring pretty hard y/n. Do I have something on my face." He chuckles and moves his face closer to yours. " Yea you do actually." You lick your thumb and swipe his cheek and walk away. Kuroo pauses and rubs his face watching you. "Heh there wasn't anything on my face." He fastens his pace and grabs your wrists. "What was that about?" He chuckles. "You had something on your face" you continue. "No I didn't" he smiles. "You wouldn't know bc I wiped it of your smug face" you laugh.

You're in class and you're fighting the urge to sleep. [just a little longer and then I can nap during lunch]. Bobbing your head up and down the teacher finally dismisses the class. "* Yawwwn*" [finally]. You lie your head in your arms until you hear a loud bang on the window. The whole class including yourself was startled from his sudden appearance. It was Kuroo. "y/n!". You give him a once over and lie back down. He knocks on the window again; you wave your arm for him to go away. You hear the girls whispering. "How does Kuroo know y/n?" "Are they dating?" "No way y/n just moved here-" You hate when people talk about you so you quickly pop your head up. As soon as you do kuroo is halfway through the window grabbing a hold of your hand that was waving for him to go away. "So that's how it is huh?" He gives you a smirk. "Really the window?" You look at him uninterested. "It was a shortcut" He smirks. "Please I don't have the energy for your b.s just let me sleep." You whine. He comes through the window and sits down at your desk in front of you. "You can go to sleep after you eat.

Kuroo spent lunch with you in your classroom and you didn't hear the end of it from the girls in your class. School was over and you head over to the gym to watch Eiji and Kuroo practice. You open the gym door and all eyes were on you.

"A GIRL! A HOT ONE TOO!" A tall boy with a short faded blond mohawk runs up to you. "SOOOO are you new here? The names Yamamoto Taketora, but you can call me Tora." He says loudly with a dorky smirk on his face. You let out a giggle and introduce yourself. "Hi my name is L/N F/N" you say with a smile. "CUUUTE." He thinks aloud.

"Y/N!" You hear Eiji call your name. You bow your leave and make your way to Eiji and the rest of the team. "Guys this is my twin sister Y/N. She'll be coming to our practices often..right?" He looks at you. You let a nervous laugh. "Yea, since he is my ride home I'll be coming more in the future so don't mind me."

As soon as you finish, Kuroo comes up from behind you and places his arm on your shoulder and says. "Y/N was also an all star volleyball player at Inarizaki , so she'll being doing more than just watching. Right Y/N?" You give him a look and he shrugs. "If you guys don't mind..." An old man makes himself present and smiles. "Im coach Nekomata and it's an honor to have an esteemed player like yourself here with us." You return a smile and thank him.

Practice was over and you enjoyed watching them. From their solid teamwork to Yaku lecturing Lev. But you were more amazed with how much better Kuroo has gotten since middle school. You couldn't help but keep your focus on him.

You Eiji, and Kuroo finally get home. "Ughhh im beat" Eiji says as he hurries out the car. "Thanks man, we'll see you tomorrow." Eiji slugs himself inside the house leaving his school bag behind. You start to gather your things when Kuroo leans his chair back.

"Sooo Chibi-chan how was your first day?"

"It was fine. I really liked watching you guys practice." you said.
"Oya~?" He turns on his side to face you. "Who did you like watching more?"
"Kenma." You smile still grabbing your things.
"Well then I guess that means I gotta work harder huh?"
You pause halfway through the door and look at him. "What?"
He puts his chair back up. "Nothing Chibi-Chan I'll see you tomorrow."

He waits for you to walk inside then drives off.
