You wake up, your room still dark as you look out the window at the dark sky. You sigh, stretching before you rise to your feet.

"Guess I won't be sleeping anymore tonight.."

You walk out of your bedroom and make your way to the kitchen. You grab some bread and put the slices in the toaster as you lay your eyes upon the stove clock. It's 11:30. You sit on the counter, awaiting your breakfast. You hated working at night, but it was how you made a living. Every night was a different experience, but you really didn't do much. Check the cameras, drink your water and wait for 6 am to roll around. You were in deep thought until the sound of toast popping out of the toaster broke you out of your thoughts. You grabbed the toast and topped it with what you usually ate it with. You ate it as you made your way back to your bedroom to get into your uniform. As you finished dressing and eating your toast, you grabbed your keys and jacket, making your way to the pizzeria.

You get into your car and drive ten minutes down the road to your workplace. You park in your designated parking spot and turn off the ignition of your car, getting out and locking the doors. You walk into the building before you, seeing you're five minutes early, later than usual. You greet the other security guard whom was leaving the building. You go to continue walking, but a strong hand on your shoulder put you at a halt.

"Hold on Y/N, I need to tell you something."

"Yes?"

"We have a new nightguard who'll be helping you with your shift, since you have a habit of not doing your nightly tasks."

"Seriously?"

"Seriously. He should be arriving soon."

You simply nod your head, biting your tongue to stop yourself from saying something you could possibly regret. The man walked away as you went to your work station, waiting for the new nightguard to arrive. You lean back on your desk, closing your eyes. Your attention is caught minutes later by the sound of an opening door. You open your eyes to see a nice looking young man walking in your direction in an outfit matching yours.

"Uhm, are you Y/N?"

"Yup, that's me! What's your name?"

"I'm Michael."

You notice he seemed hesitant, yet you didn't care enough to really ask what was up. You showed him what he would be doing, he asked lots of questions, which took up the majority of your shift. You sat at your desk and stretched.

"Well, do what you gotta do, I'll watch the cams."

"So I have to do everything?"

"Look, I'm just making sure you don't die, alright?"

"Die? What are you talking about? You know what, I don't even care."

He made his way around, doing his tasks as you watched the cameras quietly, after an hour of almost nothing, you closed your eyes and leaned back in your chair. You got a few minutes of rest in before Michael returned to awake you.

"Hey, I'm done, time to switch. I'll do cams now."

"Whatever man."

You get up and he sits down. You walked to do your tasks as you mumbled to yourself, despising that they thought you were in need of help doing your job. You decided that you would do a little maintenance on one animatronic, as it was a long day. You walked up to the one called Bonnie, examining it. It seemed okay, so you turned around. You got a message and took out your phone, looking it over. You completely forgot you were infront of animatronics, until you heard a noise behind you. You froze. Soon you heard rapid footsteps, and then a deep voice call out to you.

"Y/N move!!"

You couldn't, you were frozen. You were afraid and lightheaded. Soon, you felt warm skin against your hand and a sharp tug. You were running. You look up at the person in front of you. It was Michael. You both got to the office and he looked back at you.

"Y/N, Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!"

You shook your head, feeling tears rush to your eyes, making a burning sensation in your nose and eyes. You closed your eyes and tried to keep a steady breathing pattern and you felt strong arms wrap around you hesitantly. You leaned on Michael, knowing it was him. He pat your head softly, whispering calming words to you. You were too panicked to care someone you just met was hugging you. You just wanted a hug and that's what you were getting.

"Thank you Michael.. Thank you so much.."

Your voice shook and you opened your teary eyes, looking at his smiling face.

"Don't worry Y/N, I'm right here."
