Higher. Faster. I've got to be better than this.

(Name) took a step back, and planted her feet firmly into the ground, imprinting dents into the dirt. Rocks cracked around her and the earth cracked as pressure built for her jump. With a mighty push, her feet were off the ground, and she was hundreds of metres in the air. As she descended, (Name) quickly adjusted her positioning. She sky-dived, heading straight for the target and shot an arrow directly at the red dot in the centre of the plank of wood. Her brother nodded in approval to her left as she landed gracefully. No cracks when she met the ground. Good.

'Okay,' Wakatoshi said. 'Take a break. We're doing a race next. Your jump height is excellent, but you need to work on air dynamics to land faster, and jumping short distances.'

(Name) playfully saluted, 'Yes sir.'

'Oh, another thing,' Toshi reminded, his face not as blank as usual. It was his little sis, after all. She's his soft spot. Along with volleyball, of course. 'You're sparring with me later.'

'... Wait, really? Yes!' (Name) squealed, unaware of the moe vibe she was giving off. 'Thank you!'

'Mm.'

.oOOo.

It was finally the day of the entrance exams. And (Name) was no doubt excited. She was brimming with the bright kawaii aura that charmed everyone around her, no quirk needed. Who wouldn't love such an adorable ball of sunshine?

On her way, (Name) saw peculiar people. A freckled boy with tussled green hair. He tripped and was saved by a brown-haired girl. She almost bumped into an aggressive-looking male, who had his hands in his pockets and a scowl on his face. He was surprised because he was about to yell at her until he saw the flash when she dodged him. It shocked him. Her reaction time may be on par with his. And she didn't look fragile at all. Cuteness aside -- Bakgou nearly smacked himself because NO he does NOT think some lame extra was CUTE-- she had seriousness in her eyes. Deep inside, he found some new respect for someone who wasn't clumsy like all those extras and held his tongue from spouting a string of insults. Besides, his main focus was the exams. He couldn't let his concentration falter.

(Name) was halfway through her apology when he left. And she was so sure he would turn and yell in her face. He seemed like the type.

What a weirdo.

.oOOo.

Present Mic was loud, and it strained her ears a tad. She had to unconsciously curl them up. The people who saw her cooed quietly. She truly did resemble a bunny-- innocent and cute.

And weak. But (Name) was going to prove their prejudice wrong.

After the exam was explained, the students made their way to their designated arena. (Name) began stretching, touching her toes with her fingertips and staying there for a minute or so. A purple-headed male happened to see and snuck behind her. He was planning on peaking at her blossom when she released her position, accidentally flinging him to the far end of the waiting area. (Name) turned in confusion. She could have sworn she heard something. A scream?

'BEGIN!'

Nevermind. She had to focus now.

As soon as Present Mic yelled, she moved and prepared for a big jump. The shockwave from her jump blew back a few people and left others openly gaping at her. Consequentially, they lost a few precious seconds in their test and rushed to catch up.

Ha.

Serves them right for underestimating this cinnamon bun.

'There you are,' muttered (Name), eyes locked on her first target. She angled herself accordingly and crushed the bot as she landed. She was left without a single scratch in the middle of the disaster that had been the robot.

The teachers behind the screen of the exam must be shocked.

The next target was a two-pointer, approaching from her northeast. Without missing a beat, (Name) smoothly leapt and crushed it. Her ears twitched as she picked up the sound. Her nose wrinkled cutely at the metallic scent. Midnight, who was in the viewing room, squealed.

This went on for a while. Whenever a robot came, (Name)'s ears would twitch slightly and she would respond appropriately, not missing a shot while conserving her strength to its maximum.

This was a big thanks to her brother. He played extended matches often and learnt ways to keep his stamina while still performing to the best of his abilities.

Then, a rumble resounded in the arena. Buildings began collapsing and the earth shook. (Name) dug her feet into the cement and launched herself as high as she could above ground. There, in the middle of the battlefield, was a giant robot.

The zero-pointer. The gimmick.

When she was about to prepare to land her fall, she picked up three distinct cries of help. Her eyes scanned from the sky and spotted three students all trapped underneath debris from the quakes.

Won't someone else save them?

(Name) looked around only to see everyone else running for their lives. No one turned back to check and no one could hear over the booms of the robot and the catastrophe around them.

She sighed. If she wanted to save them, then she would have to use the maximum speed to jump. This was definitely not her specialty, but she had to give it a try.

'One,' the robot saw movement and locked its eyes onto her. 'Two...'

'-- Three!'

(Name) leapt to the nearest one of the three students and managed to barely save them from a falling chunk of rock. She let go of that student in mid-air, still at a safe height, and quickly twisted herself to shoot to the second. That student thanked her and landed safely.

The third was the hardest. He was stuck under a massive slab of cement and probably had his legs numb and dysfunctional for now. She had to try to lift the cement off by a little bit and hope he drags himself out before she loses her grip. He did, luckily. The light above the two was blocked out for a moment, and not in a good way. (Name) and the boy looked up to see the robot's mechanical foot about to turn them into a human pancake as it stomps down. Thanks to (Name)'s incomparable reaction time, she had picked up the boy and jumped to safety in the nick of time. The boy blushed when he realised how freaking cute his saviour was. And she was so powerful as well. This must be love at first sight.

'Are you okay?' (Name) asked the boy, concern in her gaze. The test rang its finishing mark. 'I bet your legs hurt from that cement. 'Let's take you to Recovery Girl.'

He could only nod in response. Shortly after, he fainted from stupid teenage hormones reacting to his first time being to freaking close to a girl. And such a cute one too! He noted to himself to get her number later.

.oOOo.

'He seems to be okay. Just needs some gummies and rest.'

'Thank goodness.'

(Name) watched as the boy slowly opened his eyes. He squinted slightly, then got used to it and sat up.

'Where... am I?' Was he dead? There was this wise, old lady and an angel in front of him. Was he in heaven? Did angels have phone numbers? If so, could he have her phone number--

'You're in the infirmary of UA, dear,' replied the grandma. Was that rude? Wait.

That's recovery girl!

'Your legs got pretty beaten up, but nothing too serious. Eat these to help you strength. You might feel a bit out of it for an hour or so.'

'Oh,' he said. 'Thanks.'

'No problem, dearie.'

The boy turned to ask the girl her name, but she had already gone.

Recovery Girl watched, amused, as the boy rushed out of the room (with other hurried thanks) to look for the mysterious cute girl who saved his life.

'Ah, young love.'
