Don't End It

Don't let yourself go yet
It's not worth it
Come back away from that ledge
Put down that blade
Because it's not worth it
No do not end it

Every night he look up at stars
When he connect the lines
It reminds him of the marks
That cover his body
The signs of his self harm

Don't let yourself go yet
It's not worth it
Come back away from that ledge
Put down that blade
Because it's not worth it
No do not end it

Oh it's 1 or 2
And he's alone in his room
Thinking about impending doom
He scratches himself
While he wishes he could be dead by dawn

Don't let yourself go yet
It's not worth it
Come back away from that ledge
Put down that blade
Because it's not worth it
No do not end it

A few weeks ago he called up this counselor
She told him he was too young
But your never too young
To wanna die
Depression isn't set by age
It's set by the story
So what if he's not a certain age
Doesn't mean he's not locked in a cage
Of self hate

Don't let yourself go yet
It's not worth it
Come back away from that ledge
Put down that blade
Because it's not worth it
No do not end it

People die
Kids cry
And nobody is helping them
And they feel so alone
And there only release
Is hurting themselves
Why didn't anybody help them
When they had a chance
Of having a happy childhood
Because now they have nothing to live for
Haven't smiled in years
But just know

Don't let yourself go yet
It's not worth it
Come back away from that ledge
Put down that blade
Because it's not worth it
No do not end it

I was laying in bed and just thought of this. I am thinking of taking some of my songs and creating a Life Story album, like Prom Horror, The Hallelujah, Don't End It, and future songs. These songs are to tell someone elses perspective, to help you put yourself into other peoples shoes. To help you help others.

I write songs, and this is how I will show them to the worldWhere stories live. Discover now
