The wind changes with the water but does the water change with the light. The leaves scattering over the overfilled platform of people. Parents repeating their farewells to their children.

What is the platinum blonde that stands with ginger headed and black haired parents and children, what is he thinking? He is so different from the others. A person from across the freeway would be able to spot the differences.

With his bright blue eyes that sparkle in the light and his blonde slicked back hair that his brothers tease him about. He is different in other ways too but not in the ways people may see from the eye.

His mother made one of the hardest choices that a parent can make when he was only a couple days old. She memorized his face until it was the only thing she could see when she closed her eyes and shed many tears the night she left her helpless baby at a place she knew he would be loved and taken care of. A place where she knew he would have a better life. Far, far away from her and the danger that threatened to come near.

She fought herself many times over her choices she had made in the past but never regretted this one. It was the best choice for her son. She wouldn't be able to watch him grow through the jail cells that she laid upon with her worst excuse of a husband but she could live with herself if her son was safe.

She would never forgive that man for decisions he had made for his family. Even though he thought it was the right choice against his wife's opinions it was the wrong choice and he discovered that when Voldemort died that night. The night between Voldemort and his followers and everyone else that was brave enough to stand against him. He was defeated at once when the order of phoenix was warned about an attack that would soon be caused by voldemort, one that would hurt hundreds. He was proved to have been killed that night and most of his followers that were left.

Ones that had stayed by his side fought with him until he was declared as nothing. Those would have the Consequence to spend the rest of their miserable lives in the prison of Azkaban. When Narcissa left her son on the Weasley family doorstep she knew that it was the best possible choice for her little boy.

The Weasley family didn't make a big fuss to take on another child. They immediately knew when they laid eyes on him that he was a Malfoy by his platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. They had no bad feelings for the Malfoys but not the best. Even through their differences, like not choosing the same side, didn't mean the Weasleys couldn't give Draco a good life. Molly knew better than anyone that she would do anything for her kids and understood why Narcissa did it. Draco came with a letter that included his birthday, full name and everything that could help the Weasleys in any way.

The Weasleys treated Draco how they would treat any of their kids and taught him right from wrong. He always knew who his parents were and what they did, Molly never wanted to keep secrets from him.
It was slightly obvious when they went out that they weren't blood related by the differences in looks. Draco wasn't the most joy filled kid. He didn't always laugh at Fred and George's jokes, he wouldn't smile at dumb things that others found fascinating. Draco was certainly happy but wasn't the best at showing it.

He would sometimes get sad for no reason or lash out. It's not like he wanted to, it's just sometimes he would get so overwhelmed. Usually his safe place would be going over to the Potter's just to take a breather.

The Weasleys were very close with the Potters ever since the war had ended. They spent holidays together, weekends and even family dinners. The war had done something to most families that leaning onto each other helped. The war was when they really connected. Molly and Aurthur knew of the order of phoenix and would help from time to time. After the war they both had children that were close to the same age and their children connected immediately. It was hard to separate them after.

At the Potter house they had a garden that gave the best view of the night sky. That's where Draco could be found when he was upset or needed to calm down. One thing he had learned from Remus was that if you found a place that made you feel safe and content to go to it when you need it.

Draco was wishing he could have that garden right about now. The abundance of people crowding the express was getting to be too much. On top of that Mrs. Weasley and Mrs. Potter wishing the kids luck and giving long hugs. Draco certainly wasn't the one for big hugs and crying parents, if anything it made him uncomfortable. It looked like Harry was having a hard time standing still too. Molly was worried sick over Ron, Harry and Draco starting their first year at Hogwarts. She had begun to the minute they had turned the age to be eligible to go to Hogwarts.

Draco had other worries on his mind. Everyone in the Weasley family had been placed into Gryffindor even though he wasn't necessarily a Weasley, Draco still didn't want to disappoint Molly or any of the others. It didn't make it any easier hearing that both his parents had been placed into Slytherin. He didn't want to be anything like either of his parents.

He was so wrapped into his own mind he didn't even notice that he was in a compartment with his best buddies Harry and Ron. Ron was going on and on about a new candy that was supposedly 10 times better than Ron's favorite food, Imitation Crab. When maybe fate occurred a trolley of candy came by, "Would you boys like any sweets?" the woman stops at their compartment. Harry shoots up "Yes please I would like" He scans the cart "we'll take one of everything and some more!"

The seat was soon filled with every type of candy. Draco picked up a chocolate frog from the pile. He opened the frog to see that his card had 2 people. An older man that had hair just like Draco's with a smug smile. On his left an white haired woman with a saddened expression. Draco recognized the name on the top of the card as his own. His heart plummeted realizing that they weren't just anyone but his parents. He was amazed and also saddened as he could see the resemblance of his father and himself. He wondered when they had even begun to do cards like these. Had they always been there and Draco never noticed?

Ron interrupted his thoughts, "Hey mate who did you get? It better not be Agrippa or Ptolemy!" He jumped across his seat to look over Draco's shoulder.

Harry could already tell something was wrong by his distant face. Ron automatically wrapped his arms around Draco when he saw, "I'm sorry" The pair soon left the card.

"Ugh get off me it's fine Ron." He shoved Ron off of him. Draco was never a fan of hugs or really anything that included comfort. Even if he did need it he wouldn't ask for it or accept it.

Ron clears his throat "Well George taught me a new spell that may make you feel better!" Ron takes out his wand when a bushy haired girl suddenly poked in the door, "Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one?" She had a high voice full of authority.

The boys shook their heads. The girl notices what is in front of her, "oh are you doing magic? Let's see it." She sat down next to Harry. "Uh, all right," Ron pulled out his new rat that he hadn't had long "Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid, fat rat yellow." Nothing happened. The rat looked the same but a certain ginger started to look rather embarrassed.

She looked up at him with her judge filled eyes, "Are you sure that's a spell?" Ron stayed quiet. The girl stood up "I've tried a few simple ones and they worked for me! Well anyways you lot better be getting your Robes on we'll be at Hogwarts soon. I'm Hermione Granger and you are?"

"Ron Weasley," Ron states. "Harry Potter," Harry says. Harry looks at Draco waiting for him to talk but he introduces him to her as well, "and this is Draco." Draco was too influenced by the empty card to look up at his name.
"Hey don't think too much about it, okay?" Harry looks at his friend. "Yeah yeah I know, I wasn't." Draco shakes his head putting the card in his pocket.

"Oh well I will see you later at Hogwarts." When she gets to open the door it opens for her.

Another girl comes running in "Hermione! We found Neville's toad although he should really put a leash on that thing! Wait, can you do that?"
"Oh that's great! And I'm sure that's possible" Hermionie says.

The girl that rushed in looked at the others in the room. Her green eyes looked at every face until it locked with a pair of blue eyes. She smiled at him with a smile that reached her eyes, "Hey guys!" She greeted them. Her brown hair moved into her face when she turned to look at Hermione.

Hermione gave her a death stare warning her to get out, the girl giggled and looked back at the boys, "Bye guys hope to talk later!" she walked out. Draco didn't notice he was still staring at the door even after they had walked out until Harry started to talk again.
