Her glance began to rise from the floor to where Julia had been sitting, but the seat was empty, and so was the room. In disbelief Brittany stood up and span in a circle, looking at her surroundings in the process. She was in the same room that she was in originally, but this time it was ruined. The wallpaper was peeled back and burnt, the windows where smashed and the couches were tattered. She quickly ran out of the room, feeling the walls and looking backwards and forwards as she ran through the halls to the reception desk, where she knew that guards and people would be. But by the time she had gotten there, no one was there but a phone. She slowly began to walk towards it, her breathing is heavy now. She hovered her hand over the phone until it started to ring. She jumped back, startled by the sound. Out of instinct she answered it. To her surprise it was someone she had never expected to be talking over the phone too.

“Lucas?” She asked.

“Hello Brittany. I’m guessing your sort of creeped out huh? Well welcome to hell. Not exactly, we couldn’t afford demons in this little fantasy of Dolores and I’s, so we made this place.”

“Where am I really Lucas? Tell me right now!”

“Ooh. Picky, picky, picky. Ok I will tell you. This is a dream. One big dream. But here’s the twist. In order to get back to the normal world you need to do one tiny little job.”

“What do I need to do?” Brittany asked. By this time she was feeling as if she was about to faint. The sweat from her body began to drip rapidly. Her cuts and scars began to get dirty, and the grey track pants that she was wearing were beginning to get faded and fragile. She looked down at her black singlet, thankful it wasn’t white.

“I need you to find someone for me. Let’s just say, you two have a great big mess to clean.”

“Why? Who is she? What’s going on?”

“So many questions, unfortunately this is taking up my time. Just find the girl and you will be safe.” And just like that, the phone began to beep. He had hung up. The only source of life that she knew of besides the mysterious girl she had to find, had hung up on her.
