Eddie's POV
"Run run run" that one repeating word was all that seemed to flood my mind. I didn't dare to even look back afraid to see what I was most petrified of standing behind me. I couldn't let IT catch up I wouldn't even dare.
I woke up in my pitch black room in a pool of sweat from that horrible horrible dream no not dream nightmare. These seem to happen so often ever since that summer I should be used to those nightmares but I'm not. I should be used to the same scenario that constantly repeats in my mind and I should know after 2 years that it's just a dream, but instead my brain refuses. Every one of those dreams begins to feel realer, and realer. Almost as if the old memories were beginning to become a reality. Or I'm just completely insane. That wouldn't be a stretch considering everything me and my friends have been through.
I'm used to these types of dreams now so its become kind of a routine for me now. Eat dinner, shower, brush my teeth, go to bed, wake up in the middle of the night, convince myself it wasn't real, go back to sleep, and then wake up.
7:30am
*Beep Beep Beep*
I heard that sound that I have slowly come to despise. I used to love it because it reminded me of a fresh start a new day. I hate it now that means I have to repeat the same routine all over again days are always the same but my friends make it better. They always do. Mornings are hard I might be a morning person but every morning is a new set of green, blue, and pink pills that I have to swallow. I love my mother I really do but I hate what she does, I know that she means well but I'm not sick I never have been.
My mother begins to knock at my door. But right after she knocks she then bursts right in. 'Whats even the point of knocking if she's just gonna barge into my room anyway' I think to myself. She walks in holding a few small red pills ones I have never seen before. She holds a glass full of water to my face as well as the strange pills. "These are new pills I got from the pharmacy they help you Eddie." I don't dare question her, last time I asked her what the pills do specifically we got into a big fight and she then continued to put me on even more pills for 2 weeks after that to quote on quote "Help with my attitude." I don't understand how there could even be pills for that I know she's lying but she continues to think I know nothing. I hold the three pills in my hand and then begin to swallow them one by one. "Good Eddie bear." I hate when she calls me that makes me feel like I'm five. She walks out of my room and closes the door right as I begin to get out of my bed.
I look to my right to see my red alarm clock with blinking numbers saying 7:38am. "Monday...great." I say out loud. "What was that Eddie bear." "Nothing mommy!" I can never have any privacy it sucks. I walk over to my dresser that's covered with polorids of my friends. Of Richie. I pick out my regular outfit with a basic pink shirt, and shorts, complete with yellow converse. I do my usual morning routine, get dressed, brush my hair, eat breakfast, but right before I begin to brush my teeth I hear a ding. I walk over to my very badly painted nightstand where my phone is resting and I flip it over to see a text from Richie.

I count down how many minutes I have until I get to see Richie. "15 minutes perfect." I whisper under my breath to make sure that my mom doesn't hear me.
