Today was 21 November 2020. I sat in the line cruiser 28478-2006. It's been my project since 2006 and it was finally ready.
I sat inside with excitement all over me as I looked outside and saw planet 64, my smile was met half way by a long sigh having just realised this was the moment I worked day and night for.
Then there was a bright light outside, and there I was traveling faster than light at approximately 180 zeptoseconds and I met my stop by the nearest singularity the milky way black hole, the one that held our galaxy in its never wavering grasp.
My heart was in my chest as it bet harder than ever before. Before I knew it I'd already reached my destination.
I tried to alert command I'd made it safely but something had gone wrong radio communication wasn't functioning.
And that is when I made the biggest decision of my life I was now near the event horizon I held the vile tied to my neck in my hands as I clutched it closer to my chest.
Things were getting bumpy the shuttle felt as if it were tearing apart a tear fell down my right eye and fear stuck my heart.
Darkness.
I expected many side effects of the project but fainting was never one of them.
I lay floating in a pit of darkness as a thought rushed through me head. My hands automatically moved to my neck and the vile was still there and then to my pockets and what I needed was still in check.
I was blinded by a sudden small bright light, my eyes took a minute to adjust I stared in horror as it got bigger and bigger.
Then I realised it wasn't getting bigger I was moving towards it I did my best to try and paddle away trying to grab nothingness, it was no use.
I got closer and closer until the bright light was to bright to stare at is it enveloped me in a warm embrace.
Then I was hit by a cold wave of air as I opened my eyes and saw something else.
It was a bright green and blue planet similar to planet 64 but without all the polution.
I entered the atmosphere as everything set ablaze my skin was prepared and now resistant to fire. But I wish I could say the same for my clothes.
I washed up on the beach bare naked obviously having fell on the planets beautiful beaches.
Once again I tried reaching for my pocket but it was no longer there.
I huriedly got up and looked for what was inside and there it was right next to me the laser beams that would alert earth 64 that the planet was safe for inhabitants.
My legs went numb and I fell emediately face first into the sand.
I turned around back to the floor as I grabbed the beams and began setting them up for transmission.
The green beam shot high and faster than the eye could see so I was never sure it it fired yet.
I checked the vile on my neck and it seemed perfect till I turned it around and saw that of which it hid there was a big crack on the other side and it spread fast.
I sat there in confusion and I wondered how a diamond vile containing acid which killed my family after three years just randomly cracked.
Then before I could throw it away the stuff inside hit my chest.
I might have been protected from fire but that wouldn't do anything against corrosion.
I sat speechless as the vile dark acid made its way for my heart.
A thought ran my head "this is how it ends huhhh" I thought "expected better"
And that's when I said my last words
"Fate never loved me anyways" as the world went dark
