{Third Person POV}

1999, 7th November (8:37 PM)

It was the Middle of the night, she looked up at the stars. She remembered, it was just like back then. In the past, the past she used to know. Something she didn't miss, something she would never miss. But she didn't like to think about back then, when she was bound by the chains of family.

Things she didn't miss, people she didn't miss, things she didn't miss. She had a small amount of earthly attachments. She gazed into he stars, watching as the sky shifted and changed. Her eyes glimmered at the beauty before her. A soft "meow" could be heard from behind her.

The whining and scratching at the door annoyed her. There was a creak, an elegant white cat with fiery amber eyes appeared. Just like hers. It sauntered over, elegantly flicking its tail. This always happened, strange things.

Strange things happened around her, even back then. She tried to remember, why did she leave again? Oh, that's why...

{Flashback, First Person POV}

1995, 4th December (9:25 AM)

"Liza! Come down sweetie!" Mother yelled from the bottom floor. What a bother, she never had to yell at Nick.

"Lizaaaa" Nick yelled, drawing out the 'a'. How annoying he always was. I always detested that.

"Alright! I'm coming!" Jeeze, this always happens. He's annoying as hell, I don't even want to be in the same room as him. I don't have a choice, better get up before 'father' comes get me. I get up, get dressed, and slowly make my way downstairs. Its cold today, how boring. Downstairs, mother and Nick are waiting at the table.

"Hello" Mother smiled at me from the table. I frowned.

"Hello mother" I said, unenthusiastically. Nick smirked at me from the table. I frowned even more.

"Why so sad?" Nick asked, although I knew he didn't really care.

"What's it to you?" I snapped, he irritated me. Nick frowned and looked away.

"Don't be upset!" Mother cooed. Of course, to her I was just a baby.

"Its your birthday!" She cried, hugging me. Ugh, more attention. At least it was just mother and Nick. I didn't need anymore bruises.

"Hey Liza, your fifteen today right?" Nick asked me.

"Yeah, I am" I said, sliding into my chair. I closed my eyes and tried to focus on the darkness.

"Morning" Wonderful, he's here. I shrunk in my chair, maybe he would ignore me like he sometimes does.

"Delightful, what's the occasion?" 'Father' asked mother, probably talking about all the food mother prepared.

"Its our dear Liza's birthday!" Mother said happily. Great, now I'm in for it. I could hear him frowning.

"Girl, look at me." I didn't open my eyes.

"Look at me" No, I wouldn't give in.

"Look at me!" I would not submit to him any longer.

"Look at me brat!" He pulled me by my hair, pulling some out in the process.

"Listen here brat, your not part of the family, and you never will be" He let go of me, petting me fall to the ground. Mother and Nick did nothing, they stayed silent. 'Father' was pleasant to them, but he expected them to stay quite unless he spoke to them. I always wonder why mother hadn't left him. It would be better for her, and for Nick.

Nonetheless, its not my business. I was fifteen today, I would not live like this anymore. I have a job, and some money too. I would do it, I would run away.

{End of Flashback, Third Person POV}

To Liza, it felt like just a few minutes ago she was stuck at the Denner's kitchen. Her foster family. Her parents had died at a nuclear power plant, she was left all alone. She had spent her life bouncing around in the foster system. That was until she landed in the Denner family.

The Denner's family's mother was named Shani. The father was named Cole, and their son, Nick. Liza had lived with them for a year, they had started planning to adopt her. She wasn't very happy about this, she didn't fit in. The Denner's all had black hair and green eyes, while she had Scarlett red hair and fiery amber eyes.

Liza didn't mind the mother, Nick was annoying but he was okay. The father, he was different. He hated Liza and abused everybody, mostly her. Liza hated seeing him hit mother or Nick, so she would take the blame for most things. Liza had had enough when she turned fifteen, so she ran away and moved into an abandoned but great treehouse in a huge forest.

That was four years ago, Liza was now nineteen. Soon, it would be exactly four years ago that she left the Denner's house. She didn't expect anything special. After all, she had been alone for four years.

She didn't expect anything special.
