Twilight Sparkle sat in Golden Oak Library, flipping through some of the pages of a book labeled Spells and Other Magic. At that moment, the doors slammed open as Spike burst in. "Twilight!" he called. Twilight jumped and fell, her legs sliding out from underneath her as she hit the ground with a solid thud.

Her book landed solidly on the top of her head, and Spike winced, then spoke up once more. "Uh... Is this a bad time?" he asked her quietly. She stood up with an impassive expression. "No. What did you come in here for, Spike?" she questioned him, beginning to smile brightly at her dragon friend.

"Well, uh... You know how we sealed Cozy Glow, Lord Tirek, and Chrysalis in stone, right? Well, er..." he paused, scratching the back of his neck. "Spill it already, Spike!" Twilight told him sternly.

"It cracked!" he blurted out, then shrank backwards. Twilight's face exploded into a horrified expression. "WHAT?!"

Twilight quickly followed Luna and Celestia out towards the stone. Sure enough, there was a crack on the bottom of it, narrowly missing Tirek's hoof.

"Dear me! This is quite an urgent matter," Rarity exclaimed. "What are we going to do?" Fluttershy whispered quietly. "I don't know about you, but I think we should ask Discord to patch it up," Applejack cut in, sounding like that was the best solution. Fluttershy shook her head. "You can't. He said he's on vacation."

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. "Well, there's got to be a way. We can't just leave a random crack like that unnoticed! What if the entire thing shatters and they're released again?" she exclaimed, hovering above the others.

"I have an idea!" Pinkie Pie called out, bouncing over. "What if Twilight reads one of her old magic books? I bet they might have an answer!" she beamed. "That's... Actually not a bad idea. Good job, Pinkie Pie," Applejack told the bubbly pony, giving her a nod of approval.

Twilight sighed as they re-entered the library, looking through book titles. "Magic... Potions... Ancient artifacts..." Twilight groaned and slammed her head down on one of the shelves. "It's no use! I don't think any of these books will tell us how to solve this problem!"

"I think I found a solution!" Spike exclaimed. Twilight's head shot up. "Really?" she breathed out in excitement, but the ladder wobbled and she tumbled down and hit the floor with a loud thud. A few of the books fell on top of her from the impact.

Getting back on her feet and shaking her head a little, she made her way over to Spike and took up the book that he was holding. She flipped to the table of contents. "Starswirl the Bearded, Sombra, The Bewitcher, Consistency-" Spike cut her off. "Wait- go back to The Bewitcher," he told her.

Twilight flipped back to the page and began to read. "The Bewitcher is an ancient pony who has lived for a long period of time. Claimed to be immortal, this certain pony lives on the abandoned outskirts of Equestria. She is powerful- legend says that she can manipulate magic and make any potion with accurate and precise precision."

They all glanced at each other, and Applejack sniffed. "Well, I think we've got ourselves a pony to find," she announced.
