Forgive me

Sam wise was exhausted from all that climbing.
"This must be the top" Sam wise said panting as he got to the ladder and caught his breath.

"Anything above?" He asked himself he looked around. "Yes there is something"

He looked to see a trap door on the ceiling then he heard a groan from above him and he recognized it.

"Frodo!" Sam wise said as he walked over to the ladder and started climbing.

The orc was showing no mercy as he whipped Frodo over and over again and was serverly bleeding.

Sam wise opened the trap door he saw what the  orc was doing to Frodo. He quickly got into the room and got sting ready.

"STOP THAT  YOU PIG!" Sam wise yelled and charged towards the orc.

A coupled of times the orc dodged Sam wise's attacks. The orc whipped but failed to hit Sam wise.  The orc cracked his whip again but sort of got Sam wise.

The orc charged at him then Sam wise was quick enough to avoid the orc. The orc fell to his death.

Sam wise put sting back into the scabbard. Frodo groaned weakly catching samwise's attention. "Frodo" samwise said as he looked at the barley alive Frodo.

Sam wise ran to Frodo and held him in his arms. "Oh dear master. Oh Frodo. You live! You live! You live!" Sam wise said sadly.

Frodo woke up and looked at Sam wise.
"Am I still...dreaming?" Frodo asked

"No dream master. It's real. I've come." Sam wise replied.

"Sam. Dear Sam. I..feel like a child at rest...When the night...fears...are driven away by some loved voice" Frodo said smiling weakly.

Then Frodo started to cough. Sam wise held him close.

"The quest has failed...the ring is lost...and the orcs took everything." Frodo said sadly.

"Not everything master. Look." Sam wise said as he showed the ring.

"You? Got it here?" Frodo asked a bit shock but mostly happy though he was too weak to show much reaction.

Sam wise nodded sadly smiling.

"Sam wise..you..are a marvel." Frodo said weakly yet happily. There was still hope yet.

"Come, mr.Frodo. I still must get you out of this place." Sam wise said and tried to help him up but Frodo gasped in pain.

"Sam I'm not going to make it..." Frodo said

"save your strength." Sam wise said he didn't want Frodo saying such nonsense.

"Even if we could get out of here. There is no escaped for evil is everywhere." Frodo said then coughed again

"Don't lose hope yet master." Sam wise begged

Frodo felt himself almost gone then he looked at Sam wise.

"Only elves...can escape middle earth. They board the white ships in the grey havens...and sailed to the lands beyond....I can only imagine how beautiful they must be.....Sam please tell the others goodbye on my behhalf" Frodo said using the last of his strength to weakly smile one last time.

"We'll find a way and get through this just hold on." Sam wise said then Frodo fell limp.

Sam after a few minutes of silence he tried to wake Frodo up. "Please, dear master. Wake up." Sam wise said as he shook Frodo but Try as he may but Frodo never responded once.

Frodo's heart no longer beats. Sam wise held him closer.

Tears fell. "Forgive master I've should've come sooner." Sam wise said and he glared at the ring.

Then had a soft expression as he looked at Frodo.

And now he really had to complete the quest alone. "I'll do it for you Frodo." Sam wise said calmly.

He got up and left that dreadful place. How was he going to tell the others? That's only for time to decide.
