"It's pleasure."

"School hasn't even begun yet! And you're not my teacher!"

"As part of a receptionist, I think it's essential that you need to know a basic proper sense of words and how to pronounce them. You don't want to embarrass your boss and possibly get fired, do you?"

"Uwaah! Scary! Hikki, stop being so scary!"

A simple move but enough for everyone to side her side. It's what every girl uses when they feeler cornered from an argument or discussion. And it keeps working.

Jeez, I wish I could be reincarnated as a hot and pretty girl.

"If I'm scary, why do you keep hanging out with me?"

"Because you're my friend! Friends got each other's back and friends are always with each other-.. I mean, friends always hang out with each other to have fun. Don't mislead anything that I previously said!"

Her cheery face is now converted into a red teary eye face. What is she on about?

We eventually made it to the clubroom. And I luckily didn't meet anyone to distract me besides Yuigahama. The only person I would allow to talk to me while I'm on an errand is Totsuka.

He has every right to. Totsuka is my best friend and I'll be there for him. Best friends have each other's back and friends are always with each other.

"Let's go in, shall we?"

Yuigahama opens the door loudly, scaring Yukinoshita quite a bit.

"Good morning, Yukinon! Wow, I've never said that to you in school! I only say it whenever we meet during weekends to study."

She happily walks towards the table and sits right next to Yukinoshita. Closer than usual. Well it doesn't bother me. As long as their actions do not interfere with my novel reading.

"Good morning, Yuigahama-san. P-Please give me some space."

She fought desperately to get Yuigahama to move. But all that did was decrease the space between them. And Yukinoshita eventually had to give up, knowing Yuigahama will slowly avert somewhere else.

"Can you believe it? This is the first time the school has ever let us go to club in the morning. It just mean that this event is very special. Like it contains our entire future.'

It kinda does.

Whether the companies hire you or not. And if they don't, it's back to your old job or finding a job. And I'm one of those people.

Basically, this event also holds the entirety of my future. If I mess up even a micro spec of it, it's over.

"Indeed, you are correct. My mother has told me she was part of those people who organized the event, solely for my benefit."

That's surprising.

"Woah! Really? Tell your mom that I would like to thank her for letting me meet you in the morning!"

I would've thought Yuigahama thanked her mother for helping her entire future. But I'm not surprised it is on an entire different subject.

"Unfortunately I still have problems with my mother. I didn't ask for this event but she suggested that it was necessary. Even I was surprised that my mother has cared for my future. I don't even remember the last time she has helped me with something."
