Daydreaming with my head in the clouds.
Spending each passing hour
Staring out at the twinkling star lights.
Wistful to explore the world beyond
My lonely bronze tower,
Keeping me locked away
In its rustic iron cage.

But I am not a little bird
Who needs your help to fly.
I can soar on my own wings
To reach the sapphire skies.

I am not a frightened princess
Nor a damsel in distress
In need of a brave champion
To slay the fiend holding me captive.

I can rely on my wit and cunning,
Carefully molding my master plan
Void of imperfections.
Bidding my time of freedom
Until fortune smiles down upon me.
