The Roanoke Legacy

It's not every day one decides to pursue what could be a Supernatural case. In fact, Raymond himself thinks he's gone off the deep end when he decided to investigate the disappearance of the inhabitants in the town of Wanchese on the island of Roanoke. A coincidence as he was on the island to investigate the colony's disappearance there long ago.

As soon as he arrives in town he sees a crowd of people trying to get interviews and going through the police barriers. He decides to ask a woman nearby. "What happened here?" He says. "The whole town just disappeared. Could just be a publicity stunt though. To get the press going." She says. "Is that what you think happened?" He says. She looks at Raymond with thought and says. "Yeah, but that old Lady on the bench over there didn't think so. She joined in the crowd earlier. She was pretty adamant about it too. She might know what really happened. ". Just like what the woman says Raymond sees the old lady sitting on the bench. He sits beside her and asks:" Hey, someone told me you knew what happened here. May I ask what happened?". The old lady is silent for a moment and says: "The mayor was experimenting on us. And I knew too much." After she says that she turns her head and Raymond was horrified to see a huge laceration on the side of her neck. She falls down and dies. Raymond runs away before anyone saw him.

Realizing it could be a conspiracy Raymond heads for the Mayor's office. He sees the mayor and immediately asks him a question: "What do you think happened to that town?". "Oh, you know just a publicity stunt to boosts the town's tourism," The mayor says. "Hmmm. You see, I don't believe that. Tell me what's really happened," says Raymond with confidence. "hahaha I'm warning you. You go any deeper. You'll regret it." says the mayor. "Try me," says Raymond with a bit of hesitation. " As soon as he says that the mayor lunges at him with fangs sticking out of his mouth. The mayor drains the blood out of Raymond and he falls. His vision gets very blurry. He sees the mayor on top of him." My staff and I are vampires. We only take a few inhabitants. But recently some of the inhabitants saw us. We had to kill everyone to not be discovered. I HOPE you understand." says the mayor with a smirk. "Did you also kill the Roanoke colony?" says Raymond in his dying breath. "No. We were never near there. They just so happen to have gotten lost and gotten killed by the natives. Nothing supernatural. Now go to sleep. We need you as a food source for our journey." As the mayor says that. Raymond closes his eyes and falls unconscious.
