When Aubrey Davis received a letter from her birth mother asking to meet, she brushed it off. She was a FBI agent with enough on her plate without opening old wounds. However, when her job starts to tear her apart, she jumps for the chance to go to Chicago— only to never get to meet her mother.
Aubrey finds herself in an unfamiliar city, trying to form a relationship with her heartbroken sister. She expected to find herself back to work within a month, but she didn't prepare for a passionate doctor to make her feel at home.
