Reyansh dropped me off at the office.

He was pleased with my boss when he got to know that she reduced my working hours by 2 hours.

Her team bagged a huge project and now they are loaded with work.
She can't even take an off now.

The whole day passed like usual.

I stayed back to help Aarushi.
Poor Aarush wasn't able to spend time with his mother these days.

I showed him packets of chips.

He just shook his head and kept the packets in the trolley already filled with them.

Now even the cashier is used to our visits.
Every month a pregnant woman accompanied by her husbands raid the store of chips and ice cream.

On our first visit, he literally took 25 minutes to bill all of them.

I swear one aunty was ready to throw a chappal (slipper) at him.

From then on, we are given a separate counter.
All the people behind us are shifted to another side.

The manager though, would be extremely pleased with our visits.

It was around 2 a.m. when I woke up again due to hunger.

Wrapping a stole, I made my way out.

November can be very cold.

Opening a drawer, I picked out lays, the blue one.

It was drizzling.
Petrichor was in the air.

Sitting on a chair, I looked at the peaceful view while devouring my chips.
My baby likes it.

The light thumping of footsteps echoed in the empty hall giving away who the person was.

"God Arya, you scared the hell out of me. "
He shrieked and kept a hand on his heart.
His face pale.

"Why? You know about my midnight snacks right? "

"You sat all wrapped up in this white stole with open hair. I thought there was a ghost. Fuck, my heart's still beating so fast. "

"You....you were scared of me? "
I asked laughing.

"No, not you... But of the ghosts.
Mom literally told me that I will be taken away by a ghost if I don't sleep early. I was merely 11."

This sent me into another jolts of laughter.

"I religiously chanted hanuman chalisa before sleeping. I was that scared of ghosts. "

"I think I found a perfect movie for this Friday. "
I teasingly told him as I finished off my chips finally.

"Oh no no! We aren't watching any horror films. You want to scare off our baby and its daddy? "

"Yes we are. "

"Nope, we aren't going to watch those silly things. God knows how much is hate those creepy films. "
He made a digusted face.

"We'll see. "
I winked at him.

"Yes yes, we'll see. Each other naked, on the bed, under the blanket. Doing everything. "

And that shut me up, making me feel extremely warm on this cold wintry night.

"You can't say things like that. "
My insides were still tingling

He chuckled and covered us with the blanket, kissing me and mumbling a good night.
