Moving On (part 4)

Start from the beginning

"Not fully but I think I'm ready to be with someone else," I respond quietly.

Corbyn looks around. "Who?"

I smack his chest and he chuckles. You're sure?"

I nod and take a deep breath. "Yeah I'm sure."

Corbyn smiles. "Can I kiss you Jules?"

"Well I would hope you would after that conversation," I comment sarcastically.

Corbyn grins and slides a hand around my cheek, leaning down. He brushes his lips against mine and I let my eyes flutter shut. I lean up and-

"Get off my girl Besson." I gasp slightly when Corbyn and I are forcefully pulled away from each other.

Oscar stands in front of Corbyn and he looks pissed.

"She's not your girl Oscar. You lost her when you cheated," Corbyn states calmly.

"That's none of your business. We can work it out if you'd stop trying to get in her pants," Oscar growls.

"I'm not trying to get in her pants. I don't care what you think I'm doing. Now back off and let me dance with my homecoming date," Corbyn responds, trying to step past him.

Oscar sneers and grabs Corbyn's arm, yanking him back. Corbyn rips his arm from Oscar's grasp but not before Oscar swings his fist at Corbyn. He punches him square in the nose and I gasp.

"Oscar!" I shout.

Our friend have turned and are paying attention now. Corbyn groans and stumbles backwards slightly. Crawford steps forward and swings at Oscar, catching him in the jaw.

"Crawf stop!" I yell.

Oscar grins and punches Crawford in the gut. Now it's a full on fist fight. I'm yelling at them to stop but they won't listen. I go to step between them but Corbyn pulls me back gently.

Christian wraps his arms around Oscar from behind and forces him off of Crawford. Zach kneels down and helps Crawford up.

Both boys are breathing heavily and glaring at each other. Oscar is fighting against Christian's grip to continue but Christian only tightens his grip on him.

"What the hell is going on over here?" A teacher pushes through the crowd that has gathered and looks between Oscar, Crawford, and Corbyn.

No one says anything and the teacher shakes his head.

"You and you, come with me. Now." He points at Oscar and Crawford. Christian walks with them to make sure Oscar doesn't try to attack Crawford.

I slowly turn to Corbyn and grab his hand gently that he's using to cover his nose. here's blood dripping from his hand and his nose. I suck in a breath and look at Christina.

"You wait for Crawford and get him home. I'm going to help Corbyn clean up," I say.

She nods and I walk with Corbyn into the school. We walk to a gender neutral bathroom and I grab a bunch of paper towels. I soak them in the sink for a moment and hand some to him.

"Clean your hands," I whisper.

He carefully takes the paper towels and starts cleaning his hands. I gently grab his chin and start cleaning the blood up around his nose. I can feel his eyes on me but I keep my focus on cleaning him up.

"Jules," he says softly.

I ignore him and shake my head, grabbing more paper towels.

"Jules look at me," he says a bit louder this time, grabbing my elbow.
