You and Kylo stood on your palaces balcony, looking out over the flower covered fields and the seemingly painted sunset. Your arms stretched out against the railing with his arms wrapped around your waist, his face nuzzling into your bare neck. The dress you wore was floor length, with sleeves that laid on your upper arms, exposing your shoulders.

He said let's get out of this town

"I want to leave. Get far away from here, somewhere where we can start from the beginning and form our own ruling. Just me and you."

Drive out of the city away from the crowd

I thought 'heaven can't help me now'

"We can't, I'm a queen and you're the supreme leader, Kylo. I can't just abandon my entire kingdom and you can not abandon your order."

Nothing lasts forever
But this is gonna take me down

"Just come with me y/n. Let's give it a chance."

"Kylo I can't do it! I have a place here and you have your place too. We don't leave. We can't leave." Feeling his arms leave your waist you turned, cupping his face with both your hands.

His face was one that was engraved in your head. Every curve, bump and line was memorized. He gazed into your eyes with his dreamy brown ones that had always reminded you of deep pools of honey and mud. Kylo was always so intriguingly perfect.

"Are you not loyal to me? You said you were, you promised. You promised you'd follow me into the depths of hell. I simply asked you to run away with me, y/n."

" I love you, but I-I can't." You said with a heavy sigh, your hands dropping from his cold face and your shoulders slumping down.

"We are through, if you are not loyal to me I am done." He pushed your hands away, turning to walk back inside and out to his ship.

"Ky-"

"Done."

I can see the end as it begins

"Please don't go." You gripped onto his cape, dropping to your knees. You looked desperate, broken. And you were. How could he just leave you here when he was your everything?

"I have to. This should have never happened. "

Tears streaming down your face, you cried as he walked out. Channeling him through the force you projected into his mind.

"Say you'll remember me standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset, babe. Red lips and rosy cheeks. Say you'll see me again, even if it's just in your wildest dreams."

He took a deep breath, turning to look at you as he closed the doors. When they shut heavily you broke down, sobbing and thinking over everything.

You couldn't follow him, you had an entire kingdom to run.

Right?

You thought back to when it all first began, you were merely a young princess at the time, sneaking around the palace and your parents, spending any and all free time with Kylo. It was nice when you two were head over heels in love. But now you both had opposing dreams and responsibilities.

And his voice is a familiar sound. Nothing lasts forever, but this is getting good now.

You heard his voice in your head whisper back softly.

"I'll remember." He simply said, leaving you to your pain and misery. You should have gone with him. You could have gone with him but you just couldn't . Being a queen was once your only purpose and life and you couldn't just drop it for the man you loved.

See me in hindsight tangled up with you all night burning it down. Someday when you leave me I bet these memories follow you around.

Years after the ordeal, Kylo's mind never once left the thought of you. you were his motivation, his drive and passion, his willingness to fight. For you. The way you smiled, the way you always fell asleep faster when curled up in his chest. Your giggle when he'd do silly things or trip clumsily on his cape. He missed you dearly, and couldn't help but wonder if maybe you just felt the same. He still held on to the hope that you reciprocated the feelings.

There was something off, something in the force that was reaching out to him. He began to have vivid dreams, ones with you and one with an unknown child. The child he saw felt powerful, like he was feeling his own force signature. It was compelling, and all together driving him mad. Kylo was over it, he finally asked the young child her name, to which she replied 'Elia' and finally removed her hood, revealing a young girl who resembled him closely. It was strange. They circled each other, looking at each other up and down, before the child spotted his lightsaber.

"I've seen one of dose before. Mama have one, it purpwe."

"Purple?"

There was only one person who had a purple lightsaber, you.

"Yep! I go now. Mama watch sunset again."

Sunset? He thought, immediately knowing what he had to do.

Sitting down on your palaces balcony with a glass of wine in hand, you sighed. You could never get over him. You had given birth to a young girl a few months after he said goodbye. You didn't know you were pregnant, neither did he. Your daughter, Elia, sat next to you and leaned her head on your side. You pulled her into your lap and gazed at her features closely. Her hair was dark and sleek like Kylo's, and wavy like both yours and his. Her eyes were bright green, which surprised you a bit to Say the least. You would have thought her to inherit Kylo's eyes, but somehow did not.

You pulled her close to your chest, moving your red painted lips to drop a sweet kiss on the crown of Elia's head before hearing an oh-too familiar sound.

"Y/n?"

Say you'll remember me standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset, babe. Red lips and rosy cheeks. Say you'll see me again, even if it's just in your wildest dreams.
