   Ascension of Ragnarok

January 24, 2006 two babies were born at 11:59pm and 12:00am. One with stunningly beautiful pink eyes. The other with blue eyes, STILL BEAUTIFUL just not as much as the other. Do you wish to know their names? They are Rose and Hunter. They were special. They were Twins. No one knew they were special. No one thought they could be special.

11 Years Later

"Hey, wake up." whispered Hunter. Slowly Rose looked to her side. She saw her older brother looking down on her "Come on we need to go," he said in a loud whisper.

"Do I have too?" Rose said quietly. "Also why are we whispering?" she said slightly louder.

"Dad said he had a headache!" he said a bit too loudly. "Anyways come on we need to go."

1 Hour Later

Hunter saw Rose coming down the stairs. She had on a shirt with flower designs and shorts that were pink. "Here's a pop-tart, lets go get our shoes on," said Hunter. Slowly they started to walk to the door where their shoes were. "Come on dad we're going outside!" said Hunter.

"OK," their dad said back.

"Hey where is mom?" asked Rose.

"She is in the Hospital remember," said Hunter

"Oh. Why?" asked Rose.

"In the middle of the night her water broke," said Hunter.

"Oh!" Rose said shocked."Does that mean that we have little brothers?" "Probably," said Hunter.

"Why are we not going to see them?" asked Rose.

"Because, mom wanted us to see the new house," said Hunter.

"Instead of going to see her?" said Rose.

"Yes, she said that there was some type of surprise waiting for us." said Hunter. "Come on, lets go check out the house."

Looking at the house both Rose and Hunter were standing looking in awe. The house was made of stone and wood. The door was made of Oak wood and had two dragons carved into it. One had green moss on its eyes. The other had blue moss on its eye. The one with the blue eye was a lighter color of wood. The other looked like its scales were too dark to be wood. It looked like it took a long time to carve.

"How do you guys like the new house?" asked their dad.

"It looks amazing dad!" said Rose and Hunter in unison.

"This house is older than the country! It's called Moon Manor. The last person who lived here, claimed to see dragons. Neat, huh? Now, you two go explore the back I have stuff to do in the house," said their dad.

"OK dad!" Rose and Hunter said. As they ran to the back of the house, they started to realize just how big the house was. It looked like the house was getting bigger (but of course, it wasn't). Hunter had always been faster then Rose, so it was no surprise when Hunter got to the back first.

"Rose get over here!" said Hunter.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" shouted Rose. As soon as Rose got to the gate of the back yard she saw Hunter disappearing down what looked like a small hole. As Rose got to the hole she realized that it was actually a big ravine. It had steps leading down to the bottom. Hunter was already at the bottom of the ravine looking at the bolder to the left of the staircase as if he could see through it. As Rose was walking down the stairs she saw the same two dragons carved on to the boulder that was blocking the left path, that was carved on the door.

"Why do you think that is there?" Rose said to Hunter.

"I have no idea," Hunter said slowly. "Well lets the other way,"Hunter said as he started to slowly inch backwards.

"Shouldn't we go tell dad?" asked Rose

"No. Didn't he say he had stuff to do?" Hunter said back.

"Yes, he did say that," said Rose.

"So then let's go exploring," Hunter said. He started to fast walk down the path.

"It's getting dark," whispered Rose.

"YA THINK" shouted Hunter.

" Who's there!?" shouted an unknown voice. Rose and Hunter froze.

"Why is there a person here?" Rose asked the Hunter in a quiet voice.

"I don't know!"Hunter whispered back. As they slowly started to walk back to the stairs, a Fireball went right past their faces.

"WHAT WAS THAT!" shouted Hunter.

"You Expect me to know?!" replied Rose. As they were running back to the stairs, Rose thought she heard, "Oh, it's just some humans."

As they got to the top of the stairs both of them collapsed, exhausted on the ground. As they regained their stamina they could hear claws scraping on the stairs behind them. Then they heard wing beats. They could hear a loud thud next to them. Slowly, Rose and Hunter looked up to see what looked like one of the dragons from the carving on the door. Only, it was towering over them, breathing heavily, as real as can be. He was all black with a white underbelly. He had one green eye and one blue one.

"What are humans doing here?" said the dragon.

Slowly, Hunter said, "We are moving into this house...next week."

The dragon blinked looking down at him, "You could understand what I just said?"

"Yes," said Rose, slowly getting up. "How can you understand us?"

"Dragons have always been able to understand humans. It's just that humans have never been able to understand us. Anyway, for trespassing on sacred groun... Wait, what did you just say?"

"We told you, this is where we're going to live, we are moving into the house in a week." repeated Hunter.

The dragon barked a laugh, "Here? In this house? Ha! No human has lived here for over 1200 years. As far as I know." said the dragon.

"We didn't know it was that old," said Rose.

"That's longer than my grandparents have been alive," said the dragon. "Where are my manners, my name is Blackmirage of Moon Manor. You can call me Mirage. What are your names?"

"I'm Rose and this is Hunter," replied Rose to Blackmirage.

Blackmirage stared at them and said, "What?" like he didn't believe them.

"What? Do you not believe her?" asked Hunter.

"No, no, I believe her, it's just, no never mind," said Mirage. "What is it?" asked Hunter.

"Shouldn't you tell us or show us?" said Rose.

"OK fine just don't ask me more about it." he said. He then started walking toward the house. When he reached the back of the house, under a big window, he roughly scratched at the ivy growing there. Underneath, long covered, carved in the stone there was a carving of a longbow shooting a rose. Underneath were symbols that Rose and Hunter could not understand.

ᚨ•ᛈᚢᛖᚱᛟ•ᚾᛟᛗᛇᚾᛖ•ᚺᚢᚾᛏᛖᚱ,•ᚨ•ᛈᚢᛖᛚᛚᚨ•ᚾᛟᛗᛇᚾᛖ•ᚱᛟᛊᛖ,•ᛇᚾ•ᛞᚱᚨᚲᛟᚾᛖᛊ:•ᚾᛇᚷᚱᚢᛗ•ᛖᛏ•ᛗᛇᚱᚨᛃᛖ•ᛞᛖ•ᛗᚨᚾᛖᚱᛇᛟ•ᛊᚨᛁᛗᛇᛈᚺᚢᚱ•ᛚᚢᚾᚨᛗ•ᛖᛏ•ᚾᛟᛚᛇᛏᛖ•ᚠᛟᚱᛏᚢᚾᚨ.

"What does it say?" asked Rose

"You will find out later. When it is important." said Mirage, "Besides even I do not know what it says." "Anyway, since we are pretty much going to be roommates, how old are you two?" Mirage asked them

"We are both eleven. How old are you?"answered Rose.

" I am eleven too. What a coincidence." said Mirage. "So, let's go check if the house will take your family as the new residents." he said, leading the way to the door.
