The next day was like any other. The lack of sleep was starting to show. I had dark circles under my eyes and was paler than usual, Draco was the same. We got off the hook in DADA because Snape knew about Draco's mission, but other than that, we were just really stressed. We sat at breakfast eating in silence, until Blaise showed up.

"Hey, Nyx, are you going to be at try-outs today?" he asked excitedly.

"Oh, I umm, I don't know." I told him.

"Oh, come on Nyx. We'll suck without you. There's no other beater or chaser in the school like you, please?" he pleaded.

"Blaise, I'd really like to trust me, but I've been really busy-"

"She'd love too." Draco cut me off. I turned to face him with my eyes wide.

"Awesome! See you later then!" Blaise got up and sat with some other Slytherin's.

"What was that all about?" I almost yelled.

"Look, it's my mission and you need to have some fun, and just forget about it." He stated.

"I appreciate that, but what about you? Don't you need that as well?" I eyed him.

"Don't worry about me Nyx, I'll be fine." He said. It almost sounded like he doubted he was going to be fine. I didn't push the conversation; instead I went back to reading a book about potions.

"Nyx!" Ron waved from the Gryffindor table. I looked over and weakly smiled.

"I'll be right back." I told Draco as I got up. I walked over to them and Ron squeezed me with a hug. As did Harry, Seamus, Dean, Neville, and Ginny. I guess they all really missed me.

"Hey guys. So what's up?" I looked at all of them and sat down.

"What's up?" Harry asked. "We haven't seen you all summer and that's what you say?"

"Look, I really don't know what to say. I'm assuming Hermione told you what I told her?"

"I did, but they feel like you're not telling the whole story." Hermione explained. I looked back over to them.

"What do you mean I'm not telling the whole story?" my anger was rising.

"Look, we saw you, Draco and Narcissa in Borgin and Burke's at the beginning of the year." Ron said.

"So?" I questioned.

"So, what were you doing there? It's kind of suspicious you know?" Harry shrugged.

"Are we not allowed to browse for furniture?" I asked angrily.

"Harry doesn't seem to think that's what you were doing." Hermione asserted me.

"What do you think we were doing then?" I asked him. He let out a breath.

"I thought it might be a ceremony." He quietly said.

"A ceremony? What are you on about?" I eyed him.

"Harry seems to think that Draco Malfoy has become a death eater." Hermione once again explained. I laughed weakly.

"You're kidding right? Harry, we went to go find a new dresser for me." I lied.

"Why did you need a new dresser?" Ron asked.

"Well it's kind of funny. I was a little bit paranoid, so I would sleep with my wand, and Draco came in to wake me up and I ended up exploding the dresser, so yeah, that happened." I lied again. I was quite good at lying; it was one of my many talents.

"Alright, but what about that cabinet Draco was looking at?" Harry questioned me. Was he spying on us?

"Were you spying on us, Harry?" I said with worry.
